Not that it’d stop him. It wasn’t even that hard to dig up, and he’s not the expert hacker in the family here. He’s just Generally Good at best.

“Do you want Cerulean Corps Round 2 on your hands in a place where you need to contest with Superman? Am I hearing that right?”

So the MGH import business is out of the bag. Someone was going to notice one of these days. If Jason's the first to discover the connection, then that's probably the best outcome he could have hoped for. It will at least give them time to prepare for a crackdown.

But what's this about biting off more than they can chew? Distribution was carefully controlled. Keep supplies low, prices high, and public dust-ups to a minimum. If the operation in Metropolis is circulating more supply in the city than they should, then that's a problem in exactly the place he doesn't want one. To put it simply, if you're fighting Superman, you're never going to come out looking like the good guy.

Add that to the long list of iniquities.

"Daken. If it's one of his lieutenants stepping out of line, let him handle it. If it goes all the way up to him, get a message back to me. Unless you want to fight him." He's assuming he doesn't. He might have a screw loose if he does.

He can say whatever he wants because Magneto can’t fly around the Earth at super speed. As far as he knows. “You got any sources in Metropolis I can go bother? I know you’re allergic to the West Coast. Also, by the way, this wouldn’t count as a favor because the one you owe me is the size of a small country.”

He watches Emma walk away, leaving him to deal with this all on his own. That has to count as some kind of betrayal.

"Why would you need to speak to anyone in Metropolis?" He needs to be careful here. Figure out how much Jason knows. Determine how much it’s worth telling him to get him off his back without creating a new headache for himself down the line. “And I’ll decide what counts as a favor.”

Emma hands him a cell phone. “It’s that Todd kid.”

He looks up from a report sent from the London branch of the Brotherhood. They think they’ve found a mutant with omega-level abilities and want to arrange for Erik and Charles to visit. That will inevitably lead to questions around what they do with the mutant if they are an omega. Charles will certainly have his opinions.

"We’re still dealing with him?” he asked still distracted. She gives him an impatient look, and he takes the phone. “When did I give you my cell phone number?”
