We had Wonder Woman which was actually ABOUT Diana and not Steve Trevor or her industry plant daughter 😒

We had Nubia comics, we had Wonder Girl comics, we had Trial of the Amazons (an event I liked a lot), we had all of her supporting characters have significant roles in the story! Cassie, Donna, Yara, Nubia, Hippolyta, Philippus, Etta, Barbara. I even liked Siegfried.

And we had Wonder Woman Historia 😍

Now we just have one comic about her and it’s absolute misogynistic garbage that cares more about steve fucking trevor than about wonder woman.

I just think it’s funny that both Batman and Superman have multiple comics about them and their supporting characters but Wonder Woman, one of the most famous fictional characters of all time who has been an icon for the feminist movement for decades, only has one main universe title about her and this comic does not actually respect the character at all. A good example is all the animal agriculture lobby bootlickers on here going "well, you say veganism is better for the environment, but have you considered that some plant foods could be worse for the environment & other personal lifestyle choices could be more important actually?" like researchers haven't looked into that many times & found that no you don't have a point, and eating animal products is in fact always worse impact-wise no matter how you spin it or what you compare it to.

There are studies on this that have been done! You'd know this if you were actually curious about the topic.

i think one of my favourite things about watching sports (beyond the sport itself) is the magical thinking, the way every spectator feels responsible for the success of the team. the people who are physically there need to sing and scream as loud as possible but then everyone at home has their little rituals. who's to say if the goal we scored was because the players know how to play or because i refused to go to the bathroom, this friend of a friend in rio sat down to watch the game for the first time in his life, these dudes in lanús lit a candle, my cat walked into the room, this woman in caballito did an intention ritual to cure the evil eye, my coworkers in núñez switched seats, a friend froze their goalie. i mean clearly the first option but i think it's (1) hilarious that this kind of magical thinking seems to be largely unavoidable (2) a lot of fun. we're all doing our part ❤️
