pardon me, i don't want to impose too much on this but i HAVE to yap a little about this...

like this is pre-global-fame tornado... this is when they thought that they might have a little niche show that is deeply loved by the book girlies, and that's it. brand deals, oscars, even the potential of an award was not on their mind. and it still impacted them on such a deep and profound level, changed their lives forever.

they found jacob, basically another "dad", who cared enough about them to let them shine. who is smart, and creative, and god, he's kinda what they want to be when they "grow up" as artists right? genuine, making things that move people, things that matter, things that are fun, and thought provoking, but also a bit freaky, and creatively fulfilling. the ultimate example of someone who truly, and genuinely, is in it for the love of the game, who can make magic with 5 Canadian dollars and a 6 pack of seltzers. who knows the queer experience, who gives people room to breathe, and grow, who brings out the best out of you. a true mentor, and a friend.

they found a crew that were so devoted to bring their best work, costuming, props, camera, cinematography, music (!!), for no other reason than to do the best job possible, for no other reason but to feel proud about something they were allowed to create.

and they found each other. this is before the paps, the awards season, before the millions of followers on socials, before all the mess and the insanity, and the promos, and the hard work and the long hours and the damn long flights across the globe. and they were so grateful for it, and did not want it to end. and even without knowing what would happen they were deeply connected now, with each other, with the crew, with this story. and damn did it have an impact already, before it impacted the world <3
