More from our gin class last month!
The second of more to come! After a great #bourbon & grilling class in May, it was time to focus on the spirit you either Love or eye with caution… #GIN! || With the variety of craft distilleries that exist, there’s a gin for every type of drinker on the market. With this class we appealed to every single one of them 😌
There's a few things I love about my city: Great brunch, great people, and most recently, great craft distilleries. || picture a trip to Dupont Farmers Market & along with your fresh herbs and beautiful flowers...@dcdistillers and @oneeightd are there to greet you with spirits! Gotta love #DC 😋
The best way to switch up drink - Alcoholic or Non - SYRUPS! :
Basil Mint Syrup
Orange Vanilla Syrup
Ginger Lime Syrup
Yummmmmm 😋
Martini, Anyone?
Vesper Martini:
- 2 oz. Bloom Gin - .5 oz. Reyka Vodka - .25 oz Lillet Blanc Stirred, not shaken ;-)
One of my favorites this summer: Blueberry Lavender Lemonade.
- 2 oz. Bourbon on Rye Whiskey
- .5 oz Lavender syrup
- 5. oz lemon juice **lime works too ;-)
- 4 springs of Mint, muddled
- 3 - 4 blueberries, muddled
Next up on the list... Getting prepped for pt. 2 of our #whiskey class this fall 🙇🏽
Whiskey Sour, anyone?
Lose the egg white, add the mint ice cubes :)
