That was not the answer she was expecting. Alu stood there for a moment trying to comprehend what he just told her. âWhat?â As if she hadnât heard him, she shook her head. Unable to believe it in the moment. To think that all the time they spent together, he had once been human before.Â
âIâm so sorry. I âad no idea..â Aluzka wasnât sure what to think now. âIâm glad youâre âumanâŠ.againâŠâ A frown appeared and she felt confused. âMight I ask âow long you were like that for?â Thoughts were brought back to the castle ruins they had spent their time in. Had that been his home? Her heart ached in thinking he had been left there, all alone.Â
âRylanâŠthe castle you lived in. Was that yours?âÂ
âThatâs âcause I was never able to tell you,â Rylan emphasized. There were perhaps more questions she had for him, and with this news there were probably more being created in her head - and he didnât blame her. He as well had his questions, but he had a long time to figure things out whilst he was a dragon.
Her following question caught him off guard by realizing she didnât know. But it wasnât a coincidence she had found him there. The castle the two shared for years, was in fact his home. But that had been longer ago than the lifespan of a human being.
âUh,â He began, eyebrows drawn up in the inner corners as his eyes blinking quickly as he kept them focused on the ground. âIt was, or still kind of feels like, my home.â He tried to smile away the sadness in his voice.Â
heartonanooseâ:
Alu couldnât be more happy as the kind declared Rylan as his daughters sworn protector, despite the whispers and coming arguments. Thanking her father, Aluzka then excused herself and Rylan from the court. Motioning for him to follow her though all she really wanted to do was grab his hand and run. Leading him towards her favorite place, the garden.Â
Once they were alone again, Alu broke character so to speak and turned to look at him again. âThis is the place I go the most to feel free. Well, as free as I can..â Alu laughed a bit at the statement and then shook her head. âNothing ever came close though, to when I was with you. Running around the forest, barefoot and not a care in the world.â Smiling fondly up at him, her heart swelled.Â
âTell meâŠâow does it feel to be âuman?â Asking as she looked him over again, this time more closely and walked around him. Still in awe at the fact he was in fact human now. Still not sure how it happened but she was happy about it nonetheless. âYou must feel so small now..âÂ
After Rylan took his oath and the ceremony ended, the crowd immediately loudened. Instead of giving them ear, he focused on the princess - with a now valid excuse of him being her sworn protector.Â
They not much later arrived outside, at the gardens he flew over before. His eyes scanned their surroundings. It was a lot for her to freely speak and act when supposed to be alone - but for him there were worse consequences if heâd ever be caught.Â
âItâs beautiful,â He spoke, as if seeing it now for the first time - when in fact it was just from another point of view. Rylan walked around, taking in the pleasing green.Â
Her question made him perk up his head from the flowers and the green grounds and look at her. âI was born a human,â He confessed, without any further elaboration of him being cursed as a child. â- but I must say.. itâs good to have a human voice.â again.

@mvdvibezâ continued from here
Azaleaâs heart was drumming loudly inside her chest, almost as if she was a small bird caught by human hands. The idea was ridiculous, the young woman knew that, because at the very least Asher was everything but someone who would break her in his grasp. Still, at a certain moment the brunette reminded herself that he probably could feel it too and she forced her feet to make a step back, even if her hands remained around his neck a second too long. âIâm still the sameâŠâ, Azalea whispered before shaking her head dismissively. That wasnât the right topic for a first talk after so long and usually, she shouldâve known that. Shouldâve. âI mean⊠Iâm glad you still want to see me, is all I was trying to say.â Finally, the brunetteâs hands retreated completely and her feet even made one more step, just for good measure. Maybe hugging him so fast so soon was a mistake, maybe it had made him uncomfortable and she didnât want that. Lea didnât want things to ever be uncomfortable with them but this was the reality she had brought upon them. âYou look great, Ashâ, the young woman finally dared to lift her eyes and look at him. âDo you⊠How long do you think you can give me? I donât want to take too much of your time. I can guess youâre busy.â
Eyes lingered over the features he once knew like the back of his hand, and even though it all still felt familiar there was a distant. Especially when he felt her stepping out of his grasp. And maybe it was his own fault, for not wrapping his arms around her as expected of someone who hadnât seen the other for a long time. But Asher had questions, and some not even directed towards their situation but hers. That didnât take away the fact that he was actually glad to see her again, so there was in fact an amused smile plastered on his features. âItâs good to see you,â He clarified, âcause he felt like he needed to assure her that it was not all on bad terms. âand you look great as well.â He quickly had scanned her as she walked over, had seen how she had grown into a woman but still remained herself. As far as he could tell. Asher shifted around on his feet, and locked eyes into hers as she perked her head up. âWhat makes you think Iâm busy?â Asher marveled. âI have got time - do you?âÂ

status:open to m 21+ plot:azalea left their small town after being a victim of a serial killer and that was the last time she and your muse had seen each other; theyâve been best friends before that, even had unspoken feelings towards one another and she had thought about them ever since; !! note: please, do not like my starters! rules are in the source
Azalea clearly remembered all of the times she had promised never to return back to her home town. The desire to run away had always been a part of her, even before almost losing her life and becoming the constant talk of the town for months on end. In a sense, that awful tragedy had been the last push that helped her to finally leave and never look back⊠Until now. It still felt surreal and a little bit scary, because behind every corner there were memories. A lot of them. And the whispers were back too, of course. The brunette had thought that by now it wouldnât have fazed her but the reality surprised her once again. And then there was him too. She both dreaded and awaited in hopeful, silly anticipation the moment in which her eyes would finally see him again. Azalea hoped that he wouldnât judge her too harshly, wouldnât hold all of the past with its mistakes against her. Honestly, the girl had no idea what she would end up doing if he decided to act like any other person she barely knew. âH-heyâ, the brunette breathed out once finally seeing him, hands wrapping around him, reminding herself not to squeeze too hard as not to seem as stupid as she felt.
People always come and go, especially in small home towns. The desire to fled, to explore the world or even just live in the bigger city near by was amongst many teenagers. Asher never felt the urge to do so, he was fine just here in his hometown where he had bought his first apartment and worked for his fatherâs company. Some might say it seems boring to have your life planned out, but things were never boring with Asher, he could always find a way to make something fun. It was how they became friends. Him and Azalea. He made sure she never went crazy in this dull town - until she actually left. And the rumours made sense for her to do so, but leaving him behind? Without a heads up, without an actual goodbye. And he would be lying if part of him not still resented her for it When he heard she was back, it took him a while to actually set his feelings aside and meet up with her. So there they were, her arms around his neck and he inhaled the still familiar scent. As if he could ever forget. âHey stranger,â he spoke, a hint of sarcasm attached to his words. Wasnât it selfish of him to still hold a grudge against her when she fled for far more important reasons?

Open: any (m/f 25+ if romantic) Connection: friend, potential for developing something Note: Zara is a single mother and her little girl could be anywhere from 2 to 4 here
âIâm so sorry Iâm late.â Zara felt awful, removing her jacket as she rushed through the door, being as quiet as possible to avoid waking Lily. Hanging up the item next to the door of her small apartment, she moved through to see the other in the living room, offering them an apologetic smile. âThe meeting ran over by forty minutes because assholes in high places canât seem to ever agree on anything. Like, ever.â A hand ran through her dark hair, followed by a sigh passing her lips. âThank you so much for watching her tonight. I promise Iâll make it up to you.â
âItâs no problem, trust me.â Rylan quickly replied to the other rushing inside yet trying to be somewhat silent. He was still on the couch, where he had been the past two hours after he put the little one to bed. âBesides, sheâll be no bother tonight. She even asked to go to sleep,â Rylan had to play with the girl for two hours straight, forced to play the daddy of the family - because finally there was a boy male to play with. âSo you can relax for the rest of the night.âÂ

thereâs a brief pause when sheâs finished speaking, blue eyes mulling over features that heâd come to know like the back of his hand over recent months. he couldnât quite get over the way she resembled a caged bird and the guilt that resided within him for holding the key. â youâre not being fair, you know that, donât you? â swallows down the tension in his throat as he takes a step closer,  â i shouldnât have to ask you to be something you already are. â his wife, in name and law. two vows were exchanged and for some reason it felt as though only one of them meant the words. â it doesnât have to be this way between us. i know this isnât the life you wouldâve chosen but if you justâ â lips purse, he glances away. what was the use in even finishing the thought?
she didnt budge when he took a step forward in her direction, if anything he was still her husband. and not the villain in their story. ânone of it is fair,â river now whispered. and yes, she had made her vows. but it had all been under pressure, especially from her father. âif i just?â she began to speak again, her eyes searching to look onto his and trying to figure out what he meant. however the two still barely knew each other. more so because she had never put effort in getting to know him. â i donât understand how you can be so okay with this. you are married to a girl with a reputation that doesnât align with your own and one you didnât choose - you deserve better. âÂ
in 4 days iâll be in NYC i am sooo excitedÂ

The words he spoke made her let out a breath she hadnât realized she was holding in. She could tell what he said, he meant. It was genuine. After being surrounded by royals who only ever spoke to gain something, she could tell when someone was being truthful or not.Â
âThen we shall never be apart again.â Another smile appearing on her lips. She let her excitement and happiness bubble up again and she nodded. âRight then. When we go in there, my father will have you kneel and you will do the same thing youâve already done. Though this time in a more proper manner.â Looking up at him, she admired him for a few more seconds before she had to tear her eyes away. Would she ever get used to him this way or would she always be almost unwilling to look away from him?Â
Standing now with a poise only a princess or royal could muster, she motioned for him to follow her back into the room. The guards at the door nodded as they opened the doors for them and then her father, the king, stood up as soon as he saw his daughters face again.Â
âAre we ready?â The king asked with a smile. Aluzka looked back at Rylan with a sweet smile. Nodding again, she then moved to stand next to her father. âYes. Proceed.â She spoke, her eyes still looking to Rylan as if he were the only one in that room. There came a few whispers from the sidelines but Aluzka couldnât care less. The king leaned over to talk to his daughter in a more hushed tone.Â
âAluzka, my sweet daughter, are you sure about this one?â Asking in a whisper and Aluzka spoke without looking at him. âYes father. Iâve never been so sure of anything else.â With that, the king nodded and motioned for the man to come forward.Â
Rylan had nodded at her explanation, fully understanding what was going to be asked of him. Just like he did moments ago, yet a bit more formal - to somewhat gain the kingâs trust. But somehow he felt less confident. Eventhough he knew now that she stood behind his actions. He just wanted to get this part over with.Â
He followed her back into court, his eyes immediately looking at the king - not knowing if he broke rules by looking directly at him. So he quickly diverted his gaze from them and took his stand in front of them when he was motioned to come forward.
Not much later Rylan lifted his head at the words of the king, doing just what he was asked - what she had told him earlier. He kneeled, spoke exactly the words he was supposed to and thereby claimed his loyalty to her again - to the publics surprise.Â
