okay so a little update as we prep the new blog etc etc. we’re moving! it’s been 2 long years and the sheer mass of deserted blogs in my followlist is entirely too weighty for me now to feel comfortable here. we’ll be seriously dropping the amount of blogs we follow and while activity will be irregular, it’ll at least be a damn sight more frequent than it is now

Idk if you’ve seen it because it was JUST released, but in the new The Gifted trailer, Lorna looks a lot better there than in the first season ngl. Like I don’t think she looked bad, I just think she looks better in s2 I guess? Still not (and will never be) sold on the whole white Lorna thing, and I also hate that she’s “evil” literally just because she’s Magnetos child, but her hair is nice!!

I feel like everything that I have done, again has been a function of just being who I am. There were times when people said my accent was a problem, when people said ‘she can’t act’, there were times when I’m too politically correct, but that’s who I am you know.

ok so i’ve really not told anyone the full story as far as this new place thing goes ( unless you’re my therapist in which case - HI! i bet you’re really happy we worked out bulk billing for me so you can still get paid for my mental breakdowns )  and WHILE I AM overwhelmingly positive about the whole thing, living here was not my first choice. my stepfather’s sister normally has international students here, but as this country is in fact a racist swamp surprise surprise, there’s less demand for housing. while i did have to move regardless, here isn’t exactly the easiest for me financially - i’m paying more in rent for a single room than i could be paying to rent an entire apartment elsewhere, this suburb is absurdly expensive, and i’m paying at least $50 more each week just to get to and from work, as i previously was able to walk the distance.

i did make this point pretty fucking clear to everyone involved tbh, but everyone was under the impression that i could just dip into my savings if stuff got tough - and then i had to pay for vans etc to move all my stuff here, fork out at least $400 dollars in public transport, pay for my new prescription so i don’t have a far larger meltdown than i’m already having!

i’m waiting at this point to find out if i’m still eligible for government assistance; i should be, given my weekly earnings (i’m at minimum wage on a part time basis, my hours aren’t that substantial bc it’s a small business) , but a little extra on the side while i look for another job to plug up the gaps so to speak would be much appreciated!

so i’m at my parents house trying desperately to save their garden bc nothing has been watered in a month and a half and most of this shit is older than me but you know all of this would have been saved if they’d just had me staying here so i wouldn’t be in financial limbo rather than having random people coming in giving them no money at all but who gives a solid shit about me in this family (it’s no one that’s my big hint)
