hao: you are talented tao. that's why many of us were focused on you and you proved yourself.
hao: you're welcome. it's also true. i'm proud of you and always will be.
i was starting to think you forget about me for a moment there, but look — shit happens right ? are you able to come after my hair that's been blond and slowly going more and more pink ? i'm curious.
I'd never forget about you. Things do happen. I've been busy doing a ton at the moment so I felt like I couldn't breathe. Well, you look like someone couldn't decide if they wanted pink lemonade or regular lemonade so they settled for both. Or you look like you dunked your hair in sherbet and that was the result.
i get that entirely, it's not easily something we can help at all either. i feel similar with most of my time in los angeles over back home in london. i do always enjoy when i can be back out there though. please, i look forward to hearing such. they really do and it always impresses me, i'll admit.
Nope not at all. The fans will do what they want. I can imagine. Seems like you've adjusted well to being in Los Angeles. One of my group members is from there so I've heard a lot about everything they have there. Maybe if I was in London, you'd have to come with to give me a better tour. I'll give you the best review. I am as well. Like the mind of fans when they are set on something is powerful.
Coco could admit that when the two of them had first met, she had been drawn in by his looks. She always was the type of woman that could appreciate a pretty face. Though as time went on and the two of them got to know each other on a deeper level, she came to love him and his personality just as much. That was also why it was so upsetting for the both of them when they had to say their goodbyes a few years ago. In their relationship, they had gotten to the ‘love’ stage, which was more than she could say for other past relationships she had. “I had a lot of fun too. I forgot what it was like to have your company… but I sure do appreciate having it now,” she found herself admitting out loud to him. “I remembered because a few years ago, I’m pretty sure you tried my iced coffee and weren’t a fan,” she never failed to remember small details about the people she loved.
Hearing that Minghao preferred to keep it low-key today was more than fine with her. She could always appreciate a relaxing day in. Plus, they hadn’t gotten too much one on one time so maybe it would be best to take advantage. "I don't mind staying in, actually," she hummed in response. "It's been a while since I've had any type of movie marathon. Do you want to maybe do that with me today?" The activity was so simple but she was sure that the time together would be extremely appreciated. "We can always go out tomorrow -- I've got a never ending list of things we can do. What do you say?"
Minghao knew when he had fist met Coco, he was instantly captivated. He was easily attracted to pretty face but getting to know her personality just made him fall for her more. He knew he had uttered the words I love you plenty to her so them parting ways hurt him more than he showed. He had moments where he spent time alone in his room wallowed in his feelings and went over how much he missed her. "Yeah? I appreciate it too. It has been too long and it felt so familiar," he let her know, sipping from his tea. "Oh, I definitely wasn't a fan. Coffee don't mesh together at all," he had gotten teased enough when it came to the other seventeen members about his reaction to drinking coffee.
There he was smiling again as he heard her speak. "I'm glad you want to," he beamed. He was up for any chance to be with just her. Sure he didn't mind public outings but them having one on one time was what they both needed in his mind. it would give them a chance to enjoy each other's company without worry. "I wouldn't mind a movie marathon. Sounds like it would be fun," plus it would give him a chance to talk to her more as well see whatever movies she wanted to show him. "That works for me. I look forward to this list of yours. I'm sure you'll show me things I've never seen before."
Feel bad that I haven't bothered you in a bit or roasted you in some way so here I am to fix that. Want me to come after your hair color again or should we go with something else? I'd let you decide instead of me. @itsawsten
aren't they? i have ignored them mostly in the past. though the ones about me tended to involve my ex husband. i would hope that i would be amazing in the role! the internet does believe in manifestation so you never know.
They can be so out there at times that it makes you laugh. Ignoring them is always best. I mean I get that. They always wanna make up something or say something to dig at you. We can only hope and see if the internet manifests this for you. I know it would be amazing if it happened.
She couldn't help but admire the way he looked after waking up. Normally, people would appear a bit disheveled but he was just as attractive to her as he always had been. Surely he could feel the tension as well, and she did remember what that had said to one another over text message not too long ago. She wondered if they truly would hold each other to it, depending on how things between them went. "You're more than welcome. I figured you would be suffering from some jet lag. Sorry for making you come to the event with me after a long flight," she couldn't help but apologize, sincerity in her tone as she moved around the kitchen to make him a hot cup of tea. "It's hard to forget. You would always get tea rather than coffee when we would order from coffee shops," Coco pointed out. She tended to remember these kinds of details about the people she cared the most about in her life.
When the tea was made, she handed it over to him gently. "Since you;re going to be here for a little bit, I think we should try and find things to do together," she beamed, taking one final sip of her coffee before placing the mug into the sink. "I know a few low-key areas that not too many people go to but it's still just as enjoyable. Is that something you maybe would want to do?" Spending time together again was something that she wouldn't take for granted. "I don't mind staying in either -- I like spending time with you regardless."
Even with feeling a bit tired, his eyes took in every part of Coco. She never stopped being attractive to him and he missed the times he got to steal glances at her whenever they were in a room together. He did remember the text. The thought of getting to kiss her again if things went well was appealing. Plus he knew a part of him wanted nothing more than to get to call Coco his again. "It's fine, really. I wanted to be there with you. Plus I had a lot of fun," he let her know. He didn't wanna be anywhere else and the rest of Seventeen would be fine without him. Though he was dreading them being nosy when he went back. His eyes stayed trained on her, a fond look taking over his eyes. "True. That makes it obvious but I like that you remembered. Think only Jun and Wonwoo remember that I prefer tea within the group," Minghao laughed a bit though he couldn't ignore the warm feeling that hit his heart.
He gingerly took the tea, a soft hum leaving his lips as the scent hit his nose. "I'm all for it plus I'll enjoy seeing more alongside you," he mused, taking a sip of the tea. "Low-key would be nice. Don't need anyone trying to ruin our time together. Well, I'm up for anything. Got ideas I can choose from?" He could date fine, the company would support him but he knew liked being private when it came to certain aspects of his life. Though he was taking advantage of this since he knew how work could get. "Yeah? Don't tempt me. I'd be all for being a hermit instead of going out."
It had been quite a long time since Coco had seen Minghao in person. The two of them had history and when they had seen each other last, it hadn't been on the most happiest of terms. They had been seeing each other for a little while, having met through mutual friends -- but life and work had managed to get in the way. Despite it being well over a year ago, she had never managed to forget it. So when she had reached out to him after so long, she was relieved to hear that he wanted to see her again. Inviting him to LA was a no brainer, and given that he was attending the same premiere she was, it was the perfect opportunity to offer him a more permanent place to stay during his time in California.
That was how she ended up in the kitchen, fixing breakfast for the both of them. Despite the two of them very clearly having some unsettled tension, she had offered him the guest room. One thing she didn't want to do was rush. Last time, it was a 'right person, wrong time' kind of situation, and she didn't want to step into something like that again. Not until she knew things could be different. The sound of footsteps approaching the kitchen caught her attention, turning around with her mug of coffee in hand to offer Minghao a warm smile. "How did you sleep? I figured I'd leave you alone to sleep in. You still prefer tea over coffee, right?" | @mvnghacs
Minghao knew what he had said through text with Coco but he still felt nervous. The last time they were together, things didn't end well. He hadn't wanted to break up but everything had been against them it seemed. Work and life had managed to make everything difficult which if it tried again, he was going to tell Pledis off. Being without her for a year had Minghao reminiscing and hoping they find each other again. Though when reaching out, it felt familiar. That's how he hopped on a plane to LA for not only a premiere but to also see Coco as he had promised. Though the offer to stay with her and not a hotel was something he couldn't refuse.
Pulling himself out of bed finally, a yawn left his lips as he headed towards the kitchen. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes before running a hand through his hair. It was better than him dealing with bed head. He could brush it all later. Looking towards Coco, a tired smile spread across his lips. Sure there might be some underlining tension but they could figure it all out. "I slept alright. Feel pretty rested from the jetlag so I appreciate you letting me sleep in. Yeah, I do. Glad you remember that still."
Coco: that goes both ways, honestly. though, i did wonder at times if you forgot about me, or if you wondered the same about me. how cheesy to both be thinking of each other, hm? but it's cute.
Coco: thank you. you know i really appreciate you showing up for me when you can. i'll def set the party up!
Coco: please do. it would be really nice to see you again. i missed you.
Coco: sorry if that's forward but i'm being honest.
Hao: i get it and i know i thought the same. you were always on my mind no matter what. it is but i don't mind cheesy. i like that we though of each other.
Hao: you're welcome. any chance to see you, i'm willing to take. plus i know the party will be fun.
Hao: i'll make my way to you right away. i missed you as well. its been too long and i won't make you wait.
Hao: i don't mind. i like you being forward with what you are feeling.
the power of the internet is mind boggling to me. it's just a rumor, but i've already been asked more than once if i'll be playing christine daae. i was too stunned to speak, i don't even remember how i responded. though i already know that if i'm offered that role? there's no way i'd be denying it. @hfrpstarters
The rumors that spread around the internet is always crazy. I know I am one who shuts down rumors if they involve me though or ignore them. I mean I'm sure you'd do amazing in the role though. The internet can dream it seems.
Coco: I was very hopeful that we would make our way back to each other over time. Even if it took a little while. You definitely want to be staying clear of delusional people. They won't be bringing anything positive.
Coco: Thank you, that means a lot to hear from you. I was so nervous abut releasing the new song but it's getting a lot more positive feedback than I though it would so that makes me happy. Really? You would?
Coco: You would? Then, I hope to be seeing you sooner rather than later.
Hao: i'm glad we did. don't think i could ever forget about you. i always try to but we know i set a lot of them straight if they are fans. they never do. i've told too many fans not to be delusional about certain things when it comes to me or the other members.
Hao: you're welcome. you know i always believe in you~ i'm glad to hear that and you deserve it. i would easily. i'd be right there with you.
Hao: yes, i would. i can make my way to see you. i won't be doing anything for the subunit with vernon till june so i have time.
Coco: I can agree. I've tried to put myself out there, I won't lie. It just never felt right? I never clicked with anyone else the way I clicked with you.
Coco: I've had a new song come out, I also filmed a few movies. I also got a new place in LA, I still have to throw a party.
Coco: That's right. Plus, you would have so many people worried about you if you weren't taking proper care of yourself. I would be worried, too.
Coco: I... yeah, I can admit to it 😅 Do we hold each other to that?
Hao: i get it. even with how things ended, it just felt right. i feel the same way. if anything i've pushed away anyone who tried cause i've dealt with too many delusional people.
Hao: i did see you post about it and you know i gave it a listen. love it a ton. look at you. i love that you are doing a lot. you should. i'd easily come if you wanted me to.
Hao: i would and i hate making people worry. i end up feeling guilty. i wouldn't wanna worry you at all. i make sure to do my best.
Hao: i mean... we can. i'd be all for kissing you again.
