Of course stealing things wasn’t difficult, any idiot could manage it in times of need or times of greed and regularly would, but purely in the interests of science Violet had put a lot of thought into what she would ask the raggedy man to ascertain for her to prove himself. 

Allowing a smile to grow across her face, the intricate and bejeweled crown weighing in her palms in a very real way, she levelled his gaze evenly. Asking him to steal the Queens Crown had been a joke, an exaggeration which she hadn’t intended him to take seriously, let alone attempt.

Person of Interest

Every line of work comes with it’s pros and cons, the perks and the pits. It is a universal constant, the balance of good and bad which kept the playing field level for you to make your moves on.  This was at least, how Luna felt on the matter. She mulled the idea over as she stood in the freezing cold, the shoulder of her leather jacket pressed against a brick wall while her arms were folded across her chest to preserve as much warmth as possible. Her eyes were following the movements of the person who had drawn focus to that particular idea, the person who she had been trailing on and off for the past week or so. After all, being a thief had some pretty heft perks in terms of income and, for those who it mattered to, reputation- yet a vast majority of the work had to be done in the dark and the cold, the most unpleasant combination to have to be out in. 

The thief in question was a fairly rugged looking guy, and she couldn’t help but consider that as a bad business move- after all people were much more likely to suspect someone who already seemed like he didn’t have the money for a comb and a razor. If you wanted to be a truly stealthy thief you needed to look clean cut, unassuming. You needed people to look past you because you were so normal.  Though, if he had yet to be caught then he must be doing something right, surely? 

She was drawn from her thoughts when she saw him start to walk away, heading towards the back alleys that formed a labyrinth through the city. She had no idea of his destination which, fairly rationally was why she was following him. Straightening up from her leaning position, her eyes never once left his leaving form, though she hesitated from going after him, waiting for what she felt to be the right moment. 

Once he had gotten a little ahead of her, the redhead began to follow, her hands slipping down into the pockets of her jeans and her shoulders hunched slightly from the cold which, at this time of year was bitter and seeped into the bones of anyone brave enough to venture into it. She was by no means trying to be sneaky here. She did not keep to the shadows or try to conceal herself in any way, she simply remained a small distance behind the thief, always keeping him within sight.  Just watching.
