Garashir really is just that good. Its about healing your trauma by loving your mirror. Its about intermingling your soul with another man so extricably that your every act is performed in his gentle shadow. Its about taking the red spring of fate and dancing with it, planets in a decaying orbit and falling into each other's gravity in the kind silence of space. Its about the scifi queer allegory. Its about love overcoming shame and learning to be your own person, not in one grand gesture but in a series of soft, quiet moments. Its about sids big puppy dog eyes. Its about being a dork with your crush at lunch. Its about fucking that old man.

Was there any kind of internal documents or notes on how the gambling games like Dabo or Tongo worked? Or were they always improvised?

None that I know of. I suspect the actors and maybe the props team might have come up with some vague notions of how the games were played, but if that happened, it happened on set, and I was usually locked in my office writing so I wasn't part of such conversations.

So the idea/sketch was initially going to take on a darker, more sinister tone, but then—the more I refined Garak’s face, the softer he appeared :P I last minute thought to add the dim-lit shading, and I think it did a pretty good job at portraying more of an uneasy air between them

+ a cute lil thumb caress moment :)

His long nails, too ;3 … I attempted to make them darker, but I ultimately liked the way they looked as one cohesive color

Personally love the Idea that most of star trek is reconstructed from personal logs. Because it plugs all the plot holes and explains a bunch of stuff like "why does the ferengi characterisation vary so wildly?" Humans are bigots

"why do the trills change appearance between tng and ds9?" Mistake in the logs

"why arent garak and Bashir fucking?" They are, garak keeps deleting if from the logs
