being doomed by the narrative is cool and all but i like when a character is doomed just by being a fucking idiot. sorry that happened to you but it is entirely your own fault and you could have just chosen to not do all that

Write it shitty, write it scared, write it without a clue but don't you be so spineless and have an AI write fanfic for you.
did you guys know about this oc stuff. you can just make a guy. big if true
but watch out. theyre in your brain now
Listen
finding it increasingly funny that they had to knock out bilbo in the battle of the five armies. if he was conscious he absolutely would have put on the ring and shanked azog
reblog this if you could voice mario better than chris pratt
They finally did it. They whitewashed a white guy
Cassidy and the other kids banding together to go drag William back to hell again
Okay here’s an idea. The au where Thorin doesn’t die at botfa (still gets wounded badly) and is rescued and taken back into the mountain where he’s nursed back to health and Bilbo doesn’t leave his side that entire time until a couple of weeks later when he wakes up and it takes a moment for it to hit Bilbo but then he pulls him into a tight hug - so much it surprises Thorin - which parallels Thorin hugging Bilbo at the end of auj, in this essay I will
A bnha blooper I wanted to make into a reel.. All might can’t word too good
People who send anon hate and expect to be taken seriously are so funny like ohhhh shit looks like I got the Phantom of the Askbox on my ass
I mentioned this once and I'll mention it again. 50-60 years after bilbos adventures he's still able to picture everything so vividly. He's still able to recall how thorin looked that night standing in his doorway walking into bilbo's house to the way he, fili, and Kili all laid still on the stone coffins in the mountain. In all all those years the ring was slowly corrupting him. Yet, he never forget.
Random thought but do you think he fought the corruption (yes Gandalf stated that hobbits have strong wills but besides that) because it reminded him of thorin? All things considered he fought it off for a while, he lived a quiet life. He went back to his books, and his arm chair-watched his tees grow just like what someone wanted for him.
My brain for some reason wants to connect the rings corruption, bilbos will, and his love for his dwarven family all together. Because yes in the end bilbo (or beginning of the movie) was obsessed with the ring but do you think he ever looked at it and remembered how he used it to Protect and save his friends? how he used it to slay the spiders, set them free from Thranduil's prison, and how he used it to grab the arkenstone? Maybe I'm reaching but it is almost 4 in the morning for me so I could just be aiming in the dark but none the less it's a thought. Do not get me wrong though the ring is evil but it's just a empty thought. (Next post I wanna talk about why he couldn't return to the mountain)
thank you so much!!!!! ;~;
Anytime!! I seriously love your work and revisit it all the time. I can only see your versions or the movies of them when I read fanfic- nothing else. I can't praise it enough! It's brings such comfort to look at/read ❤️ you have amazing skill
Me trying to double like @rutobuka2 archiveofourown/ their artwork
Guys seriously though (especially my bagginshield followers), their artwork is SO beautiful and they have such skill. I highly recommend following them and showing them some love!
No one asked for this information but I want you all to know the first ask I ever got was about bagginshield and if that doesn't say anything about me idk what does (hint it means I probably never posted anything worth asking about so thank you for making my day)
Thorin Oakenshield will pass into legends…
I think that this is the closest we get to a Bagginshield-becoming-canon moment. Because Balin knows. And if Balin knows, I’m willing to bet every bit of money I have that the rest of the Company did too. Because for all of their roughness and seeming lack of civility, dwarves are an observant bunch. They often choose not to say anything, because they don’t like to interfere with other people’s affairs, but they knew. They saw the bond between their King and their Burglar, because how could anyone not see it? The way Balin’s looking at Bilbo, the slight smile that’s both happy and unbearably sad at the same time…it’s because he sees what could have been. He looks into Bilbo’s eyes as he tries to put his feelings for Thorin into words, and he keeps on smiling despite Bilbo not making any sense. The hobbit’s lack of coherency speaks more strongly than any pretty words ever could. Balin even ducks his head a little when Bilbo’s trying to say what Thorin was, his eyes softening in a way that just screams: “I know, lad. I know.” He knows that Thorin was Bilbo’s. Just as Bilbo was Thorin’s. Two halves of a whole. But Balin doesn’t say any of that, because that would also be acknowledging that Bilbo’s love is gone, and with it the chance for something beautiful. Bilbo knows it, you can see it in that brief, painful smile he gives Balin before departing. Saying it out loud would make it somehow more real, and so Balin’s look and Bilbo’s smile are the only acknowledgements of an unspoken truth, a heartbreaking realization that even a love as strong as Bilbo and Thorin’s wasn’t strong enough to fight fate, wasn’t strong enough to keep them together. BAGGINSHIELD: The ship that’s impossible not to ship, even though it makes you question everything good in the world and results in an inhumane amount of feelings. Now if you’ll please excuse me, I have a bathtub to fill with my bitter tears.
Hypothetically speaking, if Thorin and Bilbo married before botfa happened, would Bilbo become the king under the mountain as *the royal consort* ??
Hi! Sorry for getting to this late!
I like to think if thorin and bilbo got married it was in laketown just before they all left, and that the dwarves have been calling bilbo that or "boyfriend" (whatever to make thorin blush) in Khuzdul since they hug in An unexpected Journey- however in short I think the answer is yes he would be called that- especially if it's an AU and thorin is just recovering from his wounds in BOTFA
