i should be happy but i’m not and i don’t know why.

i’m in a relationship, i have a job, i go to the school i want and i’m still unhappy.

i thought that with spring around the corner, and finally being in a relationship, i could shake off the melancholia that lingers in me. but i can’t.

i feel undeserving and ungrateful. the people in my life who care about me deserve to have someone who cares back. but i can’t.

why am i not allowed to be happy? why can’t i experience emotions like other people? is it because i’m queer? has something else happened to me to prevent me from being like everyone else?

i don’t know.

and i’m still melancholic.
