Because friends who love each other just platonically touch like this...

"The keys've got legs, you know. Always." "I've noticed," Dorothy said. Behind Dorothy one of Siegfried's rat pushed some hay out of it's cage. Apparently this was the first time she noticed the unusual pets, because she frowned and took a step back, only to find herself vis-a-vis in with another cage. "Don't mind Gerald and Diana," Audrey said cheerfully. "They're his pride and joy." "Gerald and Diana?" Dorothy asked, clueless to whom Audrey was referring to. "The rats," Audrey explained patiently. "Don't worry, they're inside their cages most of the time." "How reassuring," Dorothy mumbled and shook her head. Then she spotted Audrey's attire and furrowed her brow. "Are you going out?"
Happy new year everyone! 😘 🥳 😊

Mrs. Hall: Gotta love knitting needles. I can make a scarf. I can make a hat. I can stab someone's eye out. I can make mittens.
Siegfried: What was that middle part?
Mrs. Hall: I can make a hat.

Christmas time is nearing and at Skeldale House the preparations for the festive days are on a high.
It wouldn’t be Skeldale if everything went smooth.
Probably the most important conversation they had in the Christmas Special / Comfort and Joy 06.07
Let's remind ourselves that Donald Sinclair and his wife Audrey never spent a day apart during their long marriage ❤️
"What if you spend your whole life looking for something that don't exist and miss what's right under your nose"
Basically what he told her. The answer to every question. Will always need you.

His eyes trailed from Richard to her and back. "Oh well, I've been listening to new tales about the Blue Lagoon," Audrey explained cheekily. "It were rather enchanting." She giggled and sipped from her sherry. For a moment Siegfried didn't know what to reply, which was a rare occurrence in itself. "The Blue Lagoon…" "Aye, I just said to Audrey she should go and visit our Jenny. She could add a slight detour to some of the clubs down there." "Don't give her any ideas," Siegfried replied a bit sourly. "Why ever not… don't you always say 'carpe whatever'? It applies to all of us, don't it?"
It's safe to say that the relationship of Audrey and Siegfried is the corner stone of the show. No matter if you see them as potential lovers, as professional team, or just as good friends. Every scene between these two is touching, witty, and a joy to watch.
They are the parents of the household and look after the young ones as if they were their own children.
Together they tackle life and important decisions for Skeldale and their roommates. They can be fiercely honest with each other and deeply sympathetic a second later. They laugh, they bicker, they flirt, and everything in between.
