If Only

If only someone would have been there for me. If only they realized how much words can hurt. If only they had listened to me. If only they had cared. I wouldn't be here. I would still be with them. I wouldn't be lost. I wish I found them sooner. They were the only ones who seemed to care about me. They were the only ones who felt real. They made feel things I never had before. We were separated by a screen and oceans, But they felt closer to me than my family. If only I had found them sooner. If only people cared. Then I wouldn't be up here watching them down below.

Light in the Darkness

I lay on the cold, hard floor.
 “What’s the point?” I ask myself. 
“It’s never ending abuse and harassment" 
I just want it to stop. 
I just want to sleep and never wake up. 
I want to dive further into the darkness.
 Only in total darkness will I finally find my light and be free.
 I rise to up to my feet and walk over to my desk. 
I see my prescription pills on the shelf above my computer.
 I grab the pills and twist open the cap. 
A tear slides down my cheek and I blink it away, finally I can escape. 
I pour the pills onto my hand. 
Slowly, I bring my hand up to my mouth.
 I take a deep breath.
 It’s finally going to happen, I’m finally going to leave my hell. 
My computer’s screen flashes on and I glimpse over at the screen and freeze.
 The screen is paused on a video.
 It’s some sort of video game but that is not why I froze.
 It’s the person in the top left corner of the screen.
 The person wearing a gray flat cap with green strands of hair peeking out from underneath.
 The person with blue eyes so bold, the oceans get jealous.
 The person with a smile so contagious, that he could make death wear a smile.
 He is my only source of Joy.
 He is the only reason I don’t want to end my life.
 His laugh can fill a dark room and illuminate it with rays of sunlight.
 His positivity and energy fill me with a new sense of purpose and hope.
 I let the pills fall out of my hand and onto the floor.
 I feel my lips grow into a smile on my face.
 In that moment, I’m swept up in his happy attitude.
 In that moment, I don’t feel so hopeless.
 In that moment, I don’t feel so alone.
 I’m no longer controlled by my Darkness.
 The Darkness doesn’t get to decide when I get to end it.
 I’m in control.
 I feel…
 I feel happy. 
No matter how low I seem to get, 
 No matter how many times I want to end my life. He always brings me back,
 He always pulls me away from the ledge.
 He is my savior. 
He is my light.
 He is Hope.
 He is the light in the darkness.
 He is just an Irish guy, by the name of Jacksepticeye. I love writing short stories, novels, or poems and Jack is one of my favorite YouTubers, so I thought why not write a tribute to @therealjacksepticeye and thank him for all that he has done and all that he will continue to do. Thank you Jack, so much for being a beacon of light in a world that is dark. You give hope to the hopeless. You put smiles on their faces and laughter in their hearts. You probably won’t see this but I still want to write this poem thanking you for all that you have done.

Drifting Away

She lies in the rippling waters.  

Not caring if her dress is ruined,  

Or if the curls curled out of her hair.  

She lies there drifting.  

She lies there still.  

Everything around her moves with life.  

The grass is a fresh green,  

The flowers: red, blue, yellow, and white smell like freshly baked bread that melts in your mouth.  

But the water is not a pretty blue.  

The water is solid black like the jacket death wears.  

The flowers fall around her,  

Decorating her like a floating corpse.  

Her pale face looks up at the sky.  

She relaxes and the water pulls her further in.  

She lies there drifting.  

This is her escape.  

She lets the cold, dark waters seep into her skin.  

Turning her into a Popsicle.  

She let the water carry her on,  

Away from life,  

Away from the green, healthy grass,  

Away from her troubles at home.  

Slipping into the white light,  

She welcomed the gloomy, shady figure with open arms and a smile.  

Finally she could escape.  

Disappear.  

Dissolve.
