Recent events in the world have reminded me of my trip to #Syria in 2009. It was a tumultuous time in my life and I remember being more at ease and relaxed than any other point in my life while spending an afternoon reading, sleeping and chatting with others in a mosque. People talking to other people...they allowed me to be myself (weird and adventurous) and never passed judgment. Life is short, I hope we can learn to accept one another and live together b/c life is great. #prayforpeace 🌎 (at Damascus, Syria)
