My boyfriend got his tower circulation problem fixed and now he's back at Skyrim. The only problem is that I want to start up on Skyrim again too. This may become a problem.

Some shots of the Pig Racing arena that Heather and I completed last night. It’s open as a minigame, so you guys can come here and race against each other!
Minecraft is my boyfriend's new obsession
Hi I recently bought Skyrim for my boyfriend as a surprise gift for Valentine's Day, but after reading and listening many things about Skyrim about it being addicting or the end of one's social life, Did I make a huge mistake..? If so, any advice on how to keep the relationship going or get him to still do his hw?
No, you didn't make a mistake. When they first get Skyrim, it's just so mind blowingly awesome that they/you want to keep exploring and picking up more and more quests and stuff. If he's like most people, the amount of time he plays will eventually taper off to something a little less ridiculous and life will continue on like normal. I wouldn't worry about it. Just expect the first couple of days to be intense. If you still want some loving action on Valentine's day before he heads off to play his new toy, I would suggest giving him the gift where his console is nowhere near the premises and have V-day planned such that he can't get near it.
Other than that, embrace it. That's what I did and I even started playing it. You're a pretty awesome person for getting your bf Skyrim.
A Second Game
This time, he's just traveling around. Making a living smithing and making potions. Also, he's trying to become a bard. No questing, just wandering.
Mind blown. Did not know they were blind >_< Shows how much I know about this game.
Stuff that doesn't make sense (to me at least)
You can kill a ghost and the killing move you can do on it is decapitation. Really?
Last night Jack and I were talking about shouts before going to bed. Skyrim has invaded our pillow talk >_<!
However, we did start singing this song.

Got a new book from the library today!
So I can just read that while the boyfriend plays Skyrim. Since it's a new book, it'll probably hold my attention better than some of my old books. So I'll just read about sparkly vampires and fairies in Bon Temps while Jack destroys a vampire coven.
" It’s just so gosh darn easy. " ofc its easy when you play on novice =.=
=.= I don't even know what difficulty the default is on. *sadness* Actually, the hoarding part is easy. I just pick up whatever I can. It might actually be hindering my game progress because I can have the attention span of a squirrel and I keep forgetting my companion can carry stuff (which is now enabling my hoarding). Again, attention span of a squirrel >_<
The Cupboards of Infinite Space
You can put a ton of stuff in these deceptively small end tables. The programmers are enablers of hoarding.
Over Thanksgiving Break
Me: I'm kind of secretly hoping my brother got Skyrim, but that means I have to learn a whole new set of controls.
Jack: Make him get it. Actually, don't. He still needs to get into med school.
Sadly, he didn't have it. But I almost made my cousin bring her copy for the 360 over to our house when we had family dinners over Thanksgiving break.
Taking a Break
I'm heading back into the Bay Area for Thanksgiving so I'm taking a break on the Skyrim/boyfriend observations. But I think he'll still be playing.
Happy Thanksgiving and maybe there is a turkey you can kill in the game and have a Skyrim thanksgiving feast. Yay!
It's a bad day for the bf...
He got attacked by a mammoth and while he was fighting that, a blood dragon came along. Once he killed the mammoth, a sabre cat joined in the fray. That just kind of sucked. He died of course.
I hit a Low Point
So yes, I started playing Skyrim. No, I haven't dedicated hours because someone beats me to the computer. That is why I've just killed the first dragon and am heading back to Whiterun. The low point? I'm walking to Whiterun. No fast travel to Dragon's Keep because I am over my carrying capacity. I can see the town so I am stubbornly holding on to everything and picking up all sorts of alchemy ingredients along the way. It was painfully slow. But I just gathered all those things.
Sidenote: Apparently leaning in real life does not help you dodge the dragon's flames on the monitor. This is a PC game, not one of those motion sensor consoles.
Hoarding and grave robbing made Okay!
Me: What are you doing?
Jack: Searching dead bodies for gold... When you say that out loud, it sounds worse.
While watching my boyfriend play Skyrim...
One of those wraith soldiers popped out while he was in Meridia's Shrine. I screamed. I got too into the game. Ugh, I hate it when things pop out from nowhere.
