my childhood bedroom in Maryland

I used to always fall off my bed at night cuz it was high up and I’d have to climb back in. It felt really high up but I look at it in this photo now and I realize I was just really small. The neon guitar light was my fav I wish I still had that. Next door to my room was my dad’s “man cave” where he also had a guitar light and this huge photo of goats all standing in a giant tree. I used to sneak in there at night and watch Suite Life of Zach and Cody while my parents were asleep and my dad would come down and get mad and then I’d be grounded. One time I was locked in my room not allowed to watch TV so instead I had to listen to TJ Fairytales tell me a story, even though I was convinced he was out to murder me. If you don’t know what TJ Fairytales is…. it’s an animatronic bear that reads stories to you. I think he’s lowkey why I can’t play FNAF. I hated him. I couldn’t sleep without being completely under my comforter because I thought if I was completely covered he couldn’t get me.

I used to play Little Big Planet with my neighbor in the alley Danny. Her backyard was always littered with cigarette filters. My next door neighbor Brandon who was 3 years older than me was a fence friend. As in we only played through the fence. Sometimes we’d play not through the fence but it was rare. He liked hot wheels a lot and had glow in the dark stars on his ceiling.

I only lived in this house from kindergarten to summer before second grade but it’s still the one i remember most and what feels the most like childhood. It felt like I was there forever. Where cicadas would emerge and post up on my house. Where I would sneak out and hangout in the alleyway or yard all day while my dad slept and my mom worked. Where I got my first cat Snowball! Where I got my second cat Moxie. Where I raised butterflies and Moxie accidentally spilt my ant farm everywhere. So many great memories in that house :)

We had to move out because the landlord decided to sell it. When we go back to visit we drive by it. It still looked the same last time I saw it.

HI HI HI!!!!!

I have been watching movies again recently!! I’m trying to stay off my phone and deleted literally every app I could possibly be distracted on… except for this and pinterest. Cuz wtf i’m not getting rid of my pretty picture app. I watched 3 movies this week!!

Pump Up The Volume feat. Christian Slater has been on my list for quite awhile. I bought it on DVD because I was obsessed with Christian Slater after watching Heathers at the age of 14. I literally invited him to my sweet 16 and I had a poster of him in my room until I was 19 and moved away. I miss that poster lowkey… but anyways. the MOVIE. It was so good! Wacky… but good. My roommate and their partner were watching it with me and my roomie kept going “what the fuck is this movie”.

It’s about this nerdy, quiet highschooler Mark who runs a pirate radio station as his persona “Happy Harry Hardon”, a “badass” that pretends to jack off on air and aims to radicalize his fellow students against their highschool that is VERY corrupt. His dad is the superintendent which makes things interesting and some unfortunate events happen that eventually lead to the FCC and police hunting him down. Very fun watch I recommend it. I talked to my grandmom about it and she said the movie was a cult classic at the time and that my dad loved it. Which makes sense cuz my dad was always telling me to watch it!! Glad I finally did it was fun.

Second movie was not a first time watch. It’s my most favoritest movie and it’s what made me want to make movies!! I wanted my boyfriend to watch it because he’s never seen it, so we did thank god. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind feat. Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet. It was fun watching it with someone who had no idea what the movie was about and watching them realize what was going on. I’m not going to say much about it because I feel like it’s hard to explain it without just watching it. The movie is so tragic and beautiful. I cry EVERYTIME i watch it. The beach house. IYKYK. It’s so romantic, he couldn’t even last a day without her :’)

THIRD MOVIEEEE is SLC Punk feat. Matthew Lillard. I decided to watch this because my roomie yelled at me shocked I hadn’t seen it. I was like fuck okay I’ll watch it. It’s been on my list… and now I have finally checked it off. What a fun movie. In my roommates words that I fully agree with, there is so much to take away from this movie. It’s about 2 punks, Bob and Stevo, that live in mormon invested Utah. There is a BADDIE in this movie named Trish. Truly an icon. Everytime she was on screen I felt a sense of calm and also jealousy because she’s so damn cool. She’s not even a huge part of the movie I just have to mention. It really swept me away! Made me laugh and think and cry… #weareallposers

okay first thing I will talk about is new Alex G single. because oh my gosh...

the day it came out I listened to it probably 30 times. it is SOOO summer. #summer. this single alone has given me very very high hopes for the album. It feels like a mix of God Save the Animals and Rocket. which are my two fav albums by him!!

if u haven't listened you should totally check it out. life peaked the other day when I got to listen to it in a convertible in almost 80 degree weather... I didn't even know my friend had a convertible. It was magic... anyways.

helllooo! hiiii. hello!

I deleted all my old posts... I am starting fresh. no more posts from 15-year-old me trauma dumping and posting fire outfits. now it's gonna be 21-year-old me just posting fire outfits.

my bf was like, "start a food blog" cuz I decided recently to try and eat better and have been making yummy food. but then I thought actually why not just post on here. so now I am gonna try my best to do that.
