cant sleep too busy thinking about âlove is awful. itâs awful. itâs painful. itâs frightening. it makes you doubt yourself, judge yourself, distance yourself from the other people in your life. it makes you selfish. it makes you creepy, makes you obsessed with your hair, makes you cruel, makes you say and do things you never thought you would do. itâs all any of us want, and itâs hell when we get there. so no wonder itâs something we donât want to do on our own. i was taught if weâre born with love then life is about choosing the right place to put it. people talk about that a lot, feeling right, when it feels right itâs easy. but iâm not sure thatâs true. it takes strength to know whatâs right. and love isnât something that weak people do. being a romantic takes a hell of a lot of hope. i think what they mean is, when you find somebody that you love, it feels like hope.â
in fleabag episode 4 when the bank manager says âi want to take clean cups out of the dishwasher and put them in the cupboard at home, and the next morning, i want to watch my wife drink from them. and i want to make her feel good.â phoebe waller-bridge why would u write that.
at the end of the day, its me and unhinged fictional women against the world
fleabag's fourth wall breaks being a metaphor for dissociation, and her doing them every scene EXCEPT when she has sex with the priest where she physically shoves away the camera. it being the first time in the entire show where she's fully present in the moment... poetic cinema.
âI wish the world were ending tomorrow. Then I could take the next train, arrive at your doorstep in Vienna, and say, âCome with me, Milena. We are going to love each other without scruples or fears or restraint because the world is ending tomorrow.â Perhaps we donât love unreasonably because we think we have time or have to reckon with time. But what if we donât have time? Or what if time as we know it is irrelevant? Ah, if only the world were ending tomorrow. We could help each other very much.â
â Franz Kafka, âLetters to Milenaâ
âI cannot make you understand. I cannot make anyone understand what is happening inside me. I cannot even explain it to myself.â â Franz Kafka
what is that feeling when you want life to stop but don't wanna die

on my chest, a heavy, awful weight; and inside my body, a sensation of eternal dissolving. My heart â my actual physical heart, nothing figurative here â is running away from me, has become its own separate thing, beating too fast, its rhythms at odds with mine. This is an affliction not merely of the spirit but of the body, of aches and lagging strength. Flesh, muscles, organs are all compromised. No physical position is comfortable.
