Sena had been battling herself for days on whether or not she could go through with this. If she was even capable of killing someone, as tempting as it may be. There were moments she told herself she wouldn't do it, couldn't. But then she thought of what they had done to her family and the rage was enough to wipe any logical thought from her mind. She wouldn't be able to rest knowing they were out there living their lives freely.
There's a momentary look of surprise on her features when he comes around to open her door. All she can do in response is mutter a thanks as she climbs out, trying to fortify herself each step closer to the home they get. The men are somehow less than she had expected, especially once Patrick so easily compels them. The rage grows less easy to control the more they talk about what they had done. Talking as though they had enjoyed every moment. Killing her son. Two babies who had done nothing to deserve what these men had done. Accident or not. As they talk she feels the magic burning beneath the surface, begging to be unleashed. Her emotions had always got the best of her and it's no different now as ley lines appear scattered across her skin.
After what had happened to her family she very rarely used her magic. She had failed protecting her family, her magic had failed her. But now as her emotions take over any rational thought, the magic comes to the surface as easily as breathing. She doesn't even bother touching either of them, she doesn't need to in order to make them suffer. She can't stop the tears that fall, mourning her family all over again. But even as they fall she wields her magic seamlessly, using her power over air to force both of their mouths open. She wields the fire, holding it to her for a moment, letting them fear for what's to come. It's only a moment before she forces the fire down both of their throats, letting them burn from the inside.
There's no satisfaction as they scream, the sound quickly cuts off as their throats and lungs burn. No satisfaction in watching them suffer as they collapse, unable to escape the fire that destroys them from the inside out. The only satisfaction is in knowing that they deserved this. In her opinion they deserved far worse for what they had done. But at least now it is over. As the magic dissipates she feels empty, as if her own insides had been burned away, leaving charred and damaged remains behind.
Does she only now realises that he never lacked manners around her? But it means little to him now. The chthonic wants her to fill her own hart with darkness, accept it as it should. And then, he'll discard her. Or maybe, she could be his parting gift to Elessar? Give the wolf enough blackmail information for him to amuse himself. But for now, he wants nothing more than witness her massacre of the men. After all, they had only survived the purge of the gang for this very purpose.
And so, he leaves them, going back to the garage, door closed and preparing for the clean up. The good thing about magic users, is that they make crime scene easier to destroy. But then, the screams begins and stops, triggering the people upstairs to come down. The two humans coming at her first, but the teenage wolf not far behind. One scream to call the police, but the other says not to, because those dead men are wanted ones, and their own names are being searched for. But it's obvious they want to take down the mage.
And Patrick knows exactly what will happen, at least the order of events, but what will Selena do as she finds herself being attacked?
