Rest in peace my sweet angel, Cat.
I adopted Cat a little over a year ago from three frazzled hair women in Brooklyn. There was nothing I wanted more while living in Bushwick than a cat I could love unconditionally. I really should not have adopted an cat that day, but you know that saying.. you don't choose the animal, it chooses you. Cat chose me. There were 15 other cats in that apartment and I had to bring home the deaf, disabled, tiny one.
I loved this cat. She would sleep on the pillow next to me every night and make sure some part of her was touching me. We kept each-other warm. Whenever I would be home on my laptop she would position herself in my lap or between my arms if i was laying down. She was just the sweetest thing. Very playful and she LOVED attention from anyone. She was the perfect cat.
She was also very sick. When I adopted her the women said she had many surgeries already. Since last year my parents and I have both taken her to the vet countless times and she just didn't seem to get any better.
My mom told me today that Cat had cancer and they had to put her down so she wouldn't suffer anymore. Thank you Mom for taking such good care of her.
