I am Shooketh

So my last post, "uninspired", well just seconds after I posted "how to put a stop to lazy days" on my twitter acc as a kind of follow up to "uninspired" THEN this post came up saying "We all SUCK at most things but practice and consistency will take you much further than talent ever will!" and my wind was like, "woah that was fast" Yes, I know that the post was actually about 'you don't need to be talented to be able to be successful', but pease, bear with me. That post made me realize that I really, really need to practice...on my consistency. Just as I have said, I am still starting in my career as a freelancer so I can see why this will be a cruicial part of my journey. So those of you who are also in that situation of "meh" and "urgh", "We all SUCK at most things but practice and consistency will take you much further than talent ever will!"

Uninspired

You know those “I know that I’m meant for more” “I know that I’m meant to achieve and reach great things” “I know I’m meant for more” Then these days come.

This day is one of my “days”. 

Wanting to work, but don’t have the strength to. Wanting to finish all my tasks but just... meh. It’s annoying. I hate it when these days come but it’s a normal thing.  I think.  Anyways, I just really want to know how I can fight this. I know that one of those sure fire things that can lead me to ruin is letting myself get sucked into this “oh I don’t feel like doing the things that I need to do but I wont do it because I don’t feel like it” moments.

Having a community.

I’m a Introvert. So it was REALLY hard for me, especially when reaching out. I’m also that type of introvert who technically can talk to people, and is kinda comfortable in crowds, but I get stuck on what to say online. ESPECIALLY on texts. I overthink too much ad it’s jus overwhelming. 

It’s a good thing though that I have a community of amazing people in my freelance journey.

Booking Clients

I see companies like Microsoft, Apple, Nike and other large scale companies and then I start to wonder how it was for them when they were still starting off.

A lot of people don't know this but, freelancing IS a business, even if you're doing it on you're own (like you don't have any employies so you're kinda the employee and CEO at the same time lmao).

Going back to my first thought, I'm really curious about how they found their first clients. They're really large companies (and quite older than me) so the first thing that came into my mind is that they probably printed out fliers, had an ad featured in the news paper and had their friends and families talking about it to everyone. (You know, the old way of advertising).

Then my next thought was, "well now we have more means to advertise since, well, there's the internet and social media ad technology." But now that they're so many means to advertise, it so hard to choose which to do first! If you're facing the same dillema, do not fear, because you are not alone. Starting with affiliate

You know how there are stuff that technically should be easy to do? Then once you start doing it, you're just...stuck.

That's exactly what I feel right now.

As a start up freelancer, it's really hard to decide what and or where to start really. You go online, look at different courses, websites, and do your research, hoping that that would somehow clear it up for you but unfortunately... that's not the case. In fact, It may become even MORE confusing and overwhelming and just too much

I truly understand this feeling. Good news is though, my mom shared this link to me https://tfmt.ph/clientgettingchallenge/Mavs . She said that it's very beginner friendly and that the challege is easy to follow. Greatest part is that it's absolutely FREE
