Azune I have become quite fond of you in these recent episodes ✨🥲
Julien, you look across and see Callowyn Royce's bracers on Teor's arms.
Campaign 4, Episode 27 - Complicated Questions
and then azune burst into tears
Here's the sillies from the last episode.
I'm glad that more people have to deal with their shenanigans.
CRITICAL ROLE 4.26 Council of Heroes
ooooooooooh he like likes himmmm
Listen, I understand that the consensual homoerotic murder scene is overshadowing everything else from episode 22, but I just have to talk about Azune's broken, self-conscious "I like this, Murray..."
Like. Hold on.
So, this man, who has had 1.5 semi-healthy relationships since the age of 12 and was ready to throw away his life two (2) days ago stands in front of probably his only real friend and whimpers that he is glad that he is important to her. "I like this, Murray..." Has he considered that if he had been executed Murray would have missed him? Like, is this a thought that has even occurred to him? "I like this, Murray..." Does it perhaps occur to him after this exchange, then? That he actually holds meaning in the life of others beyond his ability to be an attack dog? "I like this, Murray..." Does he maybe realize, despite his abandonment and self-esteem issues vaster than the sea in his eyes, that there is a chance for a genuine connection for him? Does he feel how starved he is for it?
And also Murray.
I don't remember her opening up to anyone in this campaign up until this point? She has a vulgar remark and a bullshit joke for everything, and it keeps her sane throughout everything that life throws at her. She projects confidence and nonchalance. But then this conversation happens, and suddenly she spills that she thinks that she is a "shit person" and just how much it meant to her that Thjazi apparently didn't think that! So apparently our boy started a conversation with a woman that doesn't quite see the hero that she is by praising her (and not for the first time, mind you), and not by pointing out her intelligence - which is important, because she knows that. She knows she is intelligent. No, Azune praises her heart, and her instincts, and just something unnameable at the core of her being. And she still says that she is a shit person because it hasn't gotten to her yet.
I am very emotional about this, alright?
I am very emotional about the bond these two have and how much closeness they allow with each other in-between their facades and bravados.
Campaign 4 Episode 26: Council of Heros

"How do you do it?" "There's not really a choice."
Lady Cordelia Einfasen: Hey, you know who else is in Dol Makjar and totally eligible right now? Ethrand Tachonis-
Ingrid:
Also. This was probably just a throwaway comment. But I’d like to know what Thjazi convincing Primus to send Occtis away to wizard school looked like. What the fuck did he say to that guy to get him to do that.
