Bucket lists do not cross themselves off

It’s never too late to begin checking items off your bucket list. The list that begins with “before I die I want to ___”, fill in the blank.

Dare to dream big & dare even more to make those dreams realities. Do not simply wish but plan, schedule, begin the actions necessary to experience the fondest desires of your heart.

“Winter must be cold for those with no warm memories.” Insulate yourself with the memories created through your adventures.

Random thoughts from an offbeat mind

Why do so many seek the attention and approval of others through social media? Why is the number of views, likes, & reactions so important? Why do people gauge their worth & importance in the world based on such things? Why do people care so much of what others think & say? Why do they desperately seek acceptance?

Free yourself and find your worth, not from others but from within & from God. We are all uniquely & wonderfully made. We each serve a purpose in this world of interconnectivity. We need to chose to believe our role is significant to someone. Most likely we may never realize who or when we impact a life but believe it as truth and pray that impact is a positive one.

I'm not weird, I'm an introvert...

Do you ever feel like a square peg trying to fit into a round world?

I used to think I was strange, offbeat, not of this world then I learned about extraversion and introversion. This was enlightening! Since only 25% of the population is introverted, our American world is built for extroverts, which explains our square peg feelings at times.

There are so many misconceptions regarding introversion. Introversion does not mean shy, antisocial, or unemotional; it does mean that to renew our energy, we turn to solitude. It also means over stimulation can quickly deplete our energy stores versus an extrovert whose energy is derived from stimulation & action. We are not strange, we're simply wired differently.

If this sounds like you, I highly recommend reading / listening to “The Introvert Advantage” by  Marti Olsen Laney Psy.D. This book is full of insights into the introverted world.

Beyond pain, beyond hurt

In the depths of one’s soul where feeling does not dwell
