On another note, being around these amazing friends makes me realise that this is what normal is.
I don’t need to feel shit when I over-share, like all my secrets and experiences are being judged and repeated and laughed about to other people.
I don’t need to feel like I’m the topic of gossip if I can’t make it to that party.
I don’t need to question if they actually like me or not (because they say they like my friend and then tell me different behind their backs)
I don’t need to feel anxious about why they don’t reach out to me, why they don’t ask how I’m doing
I feel loved. I feel appreciated. I feel respected. I feel at ease
When I tell someone that I have no interest in gossiping about my bestfriend and that if they have any issues they need to speak directly to her... and there response is “I love gossiping! You should hear when _ and I get together, we go really hard”..... Girls need to stop trying to shame / embarrass / defame each other. We get enough of that from the media and society, we really don’t need that within our own friendship groups. Be kind to your girlfriends, tell them when people are talking shit about them, call out the bullshit, respect each other, love each other! SUPPORT 👏 EACH 👏 OTHER 👏!
I know it’s small and really doesn’t matter at this point but since coming out to my two best friends I feel so much happier in myself
Fact: You don’t have to be out to belong in the bisexual community. Lots of LGBTQIAP+ people are closeted, and bisexual people have a particularly high rate of being closeted. You can still belong, still be part of bi culture and community, even if you do so quietly.

I deleted my tumblr app a few months back because I was wasting too much time on it and there were so many triggering things on here that put me in a terrible mood all the time. I feel like tumblr was heavily fuelling my illness and this time away has made me so much clearer in the head.
I thought I'd come back today to touch base. I do enjoy reading back on old personal posts to show myself how much progress I've made. Things are going really well. Mentally I feel the best I have in years. It's been months since a depressive episode and even longer since an OCD one. I never ever thought I would go a day without some kind of obsessive intrusive thought but hey! I'm doing it. I even managed to watch 13 reasons why finally and I didn't feel the way I thought I would when watching it. All it made me want to do was name and shame the cunt that raped me when I was 17.
I realise that I've developed some cleanliness obsessions but at the moment it's not controlling me so we are a-ok.
Last year was the best year of my life. So much to celebrate- moving out, getting engaged, holidays with friends, getting a dog, improving my mental state, pushing myself into social situations, building on existing friendships, making new friendships, working in a job that I actually like and feel respected in, learning how to be less obsessive and more laid back about things and letting go of things / people that weren't good for me.
On the other side pcos fucked me hard this year. So much weight gain, more facial hair growth than ever and I've started getting acne for the first time in my life. I don't recognise my body anymore, I can't stand the way I look. But the absolute worst thing to happen this year was my little Puchi dog dying.
Last year was all about getting my mental health in shape and this year will be all about getting my physical health in gear.... and planning our wedding too!
We booked a date! 13th April 2019. It's going to go so quickly. I've been emailing vendors non stop and we've nearly finalised the design. We're both so excited and keep reminding each other that we're going to be husband and wife! 💕
Bring on 2019!
