Signs I need to be left alone today
I want to (kindly) tell my coworker to fuck off so I can get shit done. He is someone who expects you to drop everything on a dime to help him with whatever he’s working on. Not my problem he has piss poor time management skills.
Probably wouldn’t bode well since he’s one of my indirect managers, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That’s just common sense; however in this instance, always be kind to your EA. It generally bodes well in your favor when she has to order a last minute lunch from a local greasy pizza joint, knows you’re trying to lose the last of the baby weight, and comes to ask which salad you would like to help stay on course. Full well knowing the guy across the hall from you also likes salads; however, does not treat her very well and therefore does not get any special requests and will be stuck with said greasy pizza.

I can’t tell you how much I LOATHE being put on the spot to give a quick 30 second intro of myself - especially when it’s in front of colleagues sitting in Australia & the UK. Although I can’t complain too much because it’s only 2:15 for me...it’s 5 a.m. for the Aussies and 7 p.m. for the Brits.
I also can’t stand meetings that run straight into dinner time, but I’ll take it because their accents and puns are A+++++

This little peanut is 4 months old today! She loves early morning babbles, shoving her hands in her mouth, eating, laughing with her sister, and listening to music. She’s not a huge fan of napping in the afternoon, waiting for her food, or her exersaucer. We love you, Charlee Grace!! ❤️

Oh hi there
Yep - I’m still around...mostly lurking on my phone when I have some spare time because I’ve been working to keep a second tiny human alive. Today is my last week day of maternity leave (I go back to work on Monday and I am SO READY) - I anticipate when I get back in the swing of things I’ll start writing more...or at least I’d like to think I will. These last 9 weeks have been challenging, to say the least. Devin went on an underway for 2 weeks when Charlotte was only 3 weeks old - which was ROUGH - but we survived :) I tried breastfeeding again...it worked and then it didn’t - my milk came in and just as quickly left. Rather than trying to stress myself out about it like I did with Em, I gave myself a break and switched to formula. Minus a couple days of guilt, I am 100000% good with this decision and it’s definitely helped out being able to have Devin and I switch out doing the middle of the night feeding.
The major pro is that Lindsey (our nanny for Emme) came back to nanny for C, so she’s been doing half days with us ever since Devin went back to work in early October. The amount of stress that was lifted off my shoulders when she told us she was coming back...I can’t even describe. I definitely started crying when she told me. She’s part of the family and we couldn’t imagine anyone else helping us raise our girls. This has been immensely helpful, since I’ve been able to run Emme up to school without having to lug C to/from school, expose her to preschool germs, etc. - and allowed me to be able to pop out and run errands and such in the morning.
Outside of that, everything has been pretty status quo. We had a bit of a rough patch with Em when Charlee came home, but now we’re through that and she has grown to really like her sister...and I love seeing her wanting to help out / take pride when she can do something like feed her sister a bottle.
Ok, enough babbling. Time to kick back and relax while I can until C wakes up from her nap :) Happy Friday!

I know I’m late to the game, but I have fallen down the rabbit hole of Leah Remini: Scientology & the Aftermath. I am proud that I lasted three weeks before beginning to binge watch anything on maternity leave, but holy shit I can’t believe this “religion” actually exists and people believe it.
