Everytime I see your gorgeous smile I can't help but let one crawl across my face. It gives me hope and reminds me how amazing you are, how wonderful you are, and how you're going to go on and do great things in life! It makes me feel worthwhile and makes me feel like my affection means something. I love you, and your beautiful smile just makes me love you even more! I miss you like crazy, and can't wait to see that smile in person again. Knowing you're happy is the best gift I could ever receive, but just being with you makes all the difference. I imagined...

I walked the busy streets of Amsterdam, admiring the beautiful canals and the tall terraced houses. I imagined you by my side, occasionally pointing out stylish vintage bicycles or an odd kitten on the side of the road. I imagined us detouring through a park to dip our tired feet in a silent lake, or jesting with each other when we catch the wrong trams. I imagined taking you for your first ever meal of sushi, or us sitting down for an hour because we ate too many stroopwafels. I imagined us exploring cute shops and buying things we don't need, or just spending a day in bed watching Netflix because we were too lazy to put on some clothes. Not lazy enough to take them off though...

Just a dream; looking after her.

I slipped in through the backdoor, as silent as a mouse, two bacon butties in one hand and a bag of cola and sweets in the other. I grabbed a bag of ice, wrapped in a tea towel, from the kitchen and a couple glasses while I was at it and headed upstairs, just after pulling my mega fluffy blanket out of my rucksack. I knocked softly on her door before letting myself in. She looked up from her bed, a half-finished text message to me glowing from the phone in her hand, shocked but downright bloody happy to see me. I dumped everything on the edge of the bed and went over to her so she wouldn't have to get up on her bad ankle. I wrapped her up in my arms and kissed her hello before picking up the remote and logging into my Netflix before she could stop me. I set her up comfy, snuggled in the blanket, her head on my shoulder, an array of treats and nibbles scattered around for her helping. And that night I stayed and looked after my baby girl, and everything she asked for I gave. Including a cheeky coffee.

Perfection

My back curled just thinking of her. Of us. Limbs intertwined on a half-broken spring mattress strewn in the middle of our abandoned bras and t-shirts on the bedroom floor. Perfection.

Reunited

Two girls, tall and young, stood each at two platforms waiting for a train. For one, the train to take her away to a place whose busy streets and rowdy drivers were lost in the crowded memory of her cerebral cortex, a place still she had wished to be for unbearable amounts of time. For the other, the train to bring to her a well-needed and well-missed gift, a present so special her heart would be shattered to pieces if she would have to wait any longer. One train - arrived first to carry her away, second to bring as a bundle of joy - brings together the two girls in the soft light of the sun. A long embrace was endured because when you miss someone as these two lovers did this holiday, you would never want to break free from that first gentle touch. Their deep stare into each others eyes and the soft mutterings of love increased the warmth in their hearts and the two girls melted onto the floor, their puddles of pure bliss leaking into one another, their love and feelings combined and shared; a simple embodiment of adoration.

The Sun is blazing outside and the heat is starting to become unbearably prickly and I desperately have the desire to cool down so I get inside the quiet abandoned villa and throw off my clothes to chill in the cool breeze of the air conditioning. I'm laying there on my back with my hands over my head when I hear the door handle click open, and I peek through my half shut eyes to see you walk in, looking especially gorgeous in your slightly damp bikini, and a smile creeps across my warm pink cheeks and floods warmth and joy through my every vein. You take a second to breathe in my barely tanned exposed skin before perching gingerly on the edge of the bed, assuming that, as usual, I am tired and am verging on cascading into a deep deep sleep, but of course it was silly of you to really think you could expect anything from someone as unpredictable as me because just as you consider changing into some comfy pyjamas and attempting some kind of dreamlike sleep I wrap my arms tight around your waist and pull you close to me, pressing your warm skin against my body, before laying you against the bed and letting you stare up into the passionate determination of my eyes. I pin your arms back so you cannot make the first move, and gently I let my teeth press into the soft skin of my bottom lip just to let you endure the longing of my love slightly longer, before pressing my lips against yours and releasing your arms from my grip, allowing them to freely caress whatever you so desired. Then slowly I start to kiss down the side of your neck, taking my time in making you feel like the special princess you really are, and move softly down across your chest, giving you time to collect yourself for the inevitable craziness that would soon dwell upon my careful movement. And when my hands found the delicate curves and soft, supple stretches of skin, the craziness began to ricochet quicker than expected and soon we found our bikinis and underwear strewn on the floor and wildly we pleasured each other until we were so out of breath, all that our bodies were capable of was holding one another in our arms and letting our hearts beat like they might never beat again...

You and I.

I press my hand gently against the bottom curve of your back and, without warning, a rush of electricity floods up your spine and breaks a warm smile across your face. You turn immediately to see me, to let me stare into your gorgeous eyes; your smile a contagious disease of joy. I close my eyes and press my lips softly on yours, holding you by the waist and pulling your body close into mine. I nuzzle my head into the nook between your neck and your shoulder and embrace how lucky I am to hold you in my arms right now, and to think that it might be the last time just makes me hold you even closer. I kiss lightly on your neck making every second I have with you worth the pain it felt to miss you while I was away, when I couldn’t clutch your fragile body and tell you how much you meant to me and just how everything is going to be okay in the end. Together with you here, nothing seemed to matter but you and I.

Just a dream; the first time we met.

I soon discovered a one hour train journey was the perfect opportunity for those impish thoughts and worries to flood every nook and cranny of my cerebral cortex. On a usual day I wouldn’t think so much about anything that might ruin what fate held for me, and I suppose I’ve never had a reason to be so desperate for a day to go so perfectly, but then everything changed one day. That was the day I met her. And little did I realise, that after that one day, she would become the most important person in my life.

“Welcome aboard this Great Western Railway service…” – the soft voice of the overhead speaker lulled me into a sleep, and my imagination carried me away to somewhere more peaceful.

The rattling train jolted and threw me out of my hazy dream just in time for me to see my stop approaching like a sly cat. Oxford. Even just reading the name of her town tickled my spine with excitement. It had been such a long journey I lost most of my nerves about half an hour in but, now the train was slowing down, I could feel the harsh lump rise chaotically in the back of my throat once more and I desperately tried to impede it. A kaleidoscope of butterflies gaily washed a riot of colours across my viscera and my digits trembled as though an earthquake had dispersed its furious waves across my palms. I tried to calm myself before I slung my backpack over my shoulder and watched the station get closer and closer until the train had stopped altogether. I rushed to get up from the shoddy seat and apprehensively walked towards the opening doors. The platform was almost deserted, bar a couple of formally dressed men impatiently awaiting their train, so I hopped across the gap and composed myself in order to finally meet her.

A head of neatly coiffed, blonde brown hair emerged from behind a small coffee kiosk and with a cup in either hand she was finally here, really here, for my skittish eyes to admire. Goose bumps bubbled to the surface of my skin and an uncontrollable smile crawled across my pale face with determined passion. She was so stunning and so cute, even more so than I could ever have imagined, and I traced around every curve and corner of her body in my mind in adoration. Her face was an epiphany of beauty; fish danced in the deep blue pools of her scintillating eyes and her smile sent shivers through my every bone. I was entirely entranced by her overwhelming gorgeousness and could barely even gasp a hello.

“There’s no excuse to be sleepy”, she uttered in her gentle treacle voice, and offered a cup from her steady outstretched arm. “You look stunning”.

I struggled to string together a sentence to return the compliment so took the coffee gratefully and hastily knocked back a gulp. The warmth and familiarity of the sweet coffee seemed to soothe my nerves and open the floodgates to my endless chatter and suddenly I felt so relaxed in her presence. “I don’t look as stunning as you, and don’t even try and deny it. Thanks for the coffee by the way, you’re such a sweetheart. It’s so lovely to finally meet you”.

Before I had the chance to say anything more she had her arms wrapped around me and we embraced in the warm sun of this perfect summer’s afternoon.

I miss her.

Her scent lingers on me like a snug blanket, my body enveloped in the softness of her smell. I can still feel the ghosts of her palms on the arch of my back, the curves of my waist, the nape of my neck. I miss her fingers grazing the inside of my thigh and her lips on my chest. I crave to hold her close and have her supple skin pressed against my figure, her hot breath sending tingles down my spine, her heart beating frantically next to mine. I miss the meticulous gaze that left the glimmering blue pools of her eyes as she let me explore every inch of her physique, and I miss the stern raise of her eyebrow when I dragged my digits around the waistband of her leggings. I miss the sense of raking my hands through her hair, and I miss the catch in her voice when I kiss her stomach. I miss teasing her, and I miss loving her. I miss all that she is, and I miss all that she does. I ache for her.
