What are your head cannons for malec as parents (literally can’t wait for the lbotw)

1. Magnus called dibs on the “fun parent” role, so Alec has to act as the voice of reason a lot and say no to the usual “let’s have ice-cream for breakfast” ideas
2. When Max first started turning into a bat, there were a lot of vampire jokes (Jace: “are you sure he isn’t the product of Simon’s torrid love affair with a beautiful blue vampire?” Magnus: *blasts him with magic* Simon: *panics*)
3. Magnus and Alec rarely get any time alone- when you have a baby who can do magic and turn into a bat that’s kinda hard- so Magnus has to invest in some very expensive magical locks for their bedroom door (it takes Max a few days to break them, and Alec made the most of those few days)
4. Alec sometimes has a crisis bc “I’m barely twenty, how am I supposed to take care of a baby? They’re so dependant, last week I almost got impaled while saving Jace’s sorry ass”. Magnus’ response is just: “I’m stuck in the body of a nineteen year old forever, at least you get to look slightly more like a parent”
5. Most days Alec functions on stamina runes and coffee, while Magnus functions off of pure “this baby will not defeat my spirit, I didn’t live through countless wars to be bested by a blue bat in Lego pyjamas”
