The Hook Up by Kristen Callihan My rating: 5 of 5 stars Ok WOW! I loved this book right off the bat. I was never a fan of the “love at first sight” plot but it really worked for me in this one. Drew was VERY CLEARLY in love with Anna the entire novel and his determination was just heartwarming to read. We got to see Anna grow into understanding her feelings. It began and remained pretty light hearted for the most part but the end was pretty emotional. I definitely felt tugging in my heartstrings when he had that breakdown with Anna. I did love that Anna stood bye his side the entire time. It really showed her development from when she was constantly leaving right after they’d have sex. Overall, I LOVED this novel. I loved each of the characters and all their relationships to each other. It was an enjoyable read. View all my reviews

The Friend Zone by Kristen Callihan My rating: 5 of 5 stars 5/5 Stars!! I absolutely LOVED this book. The build up of sexual tension was so well done. The slow build up of their relationship was everything I love about romance novels. I cannot stress enough that the build up was my favorite part of this novel. Though, I did expect a little more storyline in relation to both their family backgrounds, but both those ends were tied. I am still wondering what happened with her decision to become a Sports Agent. I also want to hear more about Rolondo!! View all my reviews

Too Much Temptation by Lori Foster My rating: 4 of 5 stars 3.5/5 Overall, this novel was definitely a very fun and sexy read! I loved it. A lot of the scenes gave me butterflies, and made me giggle to myself. I do love a plus sized heroine. I definitely felt like I could relate to the heroine's insecurities. I actually enjoyed her character a lot! She was smart, determined, and knew exactly what she wanted. I loved seeing her confidence blossom through out the novel. As someone with similar insecurities, I can definitely understand how Noah's constant assurance of his sexual attraction to her would play an important part in the novel. When you spend your whole life being called a name that is deemed negative to society, it's amazing to know someone sees you in a way you wish you saw yourself. Also, I did enjoy the concept of having a positive third party. It was a nice shift to see a third party who actually knew what they did was wrong rather than the typical evil ex girlfriend. Kara was very understanding and pulled through in the end. Unfortunately, I did give it 3.5 stars because the romance seemed very rushed. I had a hard time pinpoint exactly when they started falling in love with each other. It just seemed instantaneous. I might have just lost it somewhere because they jumped into lust (Which is no problem with me!). Also, I personally enjoy novels more when the conflict resolution is mainly motivated by the main characters themselves rather than someone else's doing. When Agatha had pretty much revealed their feelings for each other, I didn't feel satisfied. I was very confused with Grace's initial reason for not marrying him. I think it was because she didn't want it to be a result of Agatha's influence? but that still confused me. View all my reviews

The Chase by Elle Kennedy My rating: 4 of 5 stars I have a thing for fictional hockey players, and I am in love with the Off Campus series, so you can only imagine my excitement! I loved the banter in this novel. Literally, the banter between any two characters had me setting down my kindle for a good minute so that I could laugh. I loved Summer's energy and everything about her. I think the author did a great job contrasting their personalities with Fitzy being introverted and Summer being extroverted. That being said, I feel like I wanted more fight out of Fitzy. As an audience we always knew how he was feelings, but I had a hard time believing Summer knew how he felt about her because he never really said it. Though I understand that it was his flaw, in the end he still never really told her. He was so fickle with his feelings and I don't think I'm satisfied with the way they patched things up. I felt like that part was a bit rushed, even with the slow burn. I wanted more? Aside from that, I had a fabulous time reading it! They had a lot of back forth that really through me into a loop, which is what I actually enjoy. I could not put it down. The female friendships were AWESOME! I love Brenna and I cannot freaking wait to read her story. With these books, I'm trying to remember any girl they mention because they might eventually become a love interest, ya know? I hope things heal between Hunter and Fitzy heal in the next book because that was definitely an end that was left loose. AGAIN, SO EXCITED FOR THE NEXT BOOK!
