A long time ago I started my #marklin #train layout, but for some reasons, work, construction and repairs, and also because of some uninterest based on all above reasons, everything stopped. I took out the layout, decided I should start another one and here it is. Finally its structure is complete and it’s time again to have something for my miniature needs. (Apart from #lego of course…).

So, once again, trains. Finally, after thinking two, three, four, infinite times, this amazing #lego #trainset #60052 got to my hands. It was a really fun build and I guess that it means I’m really over my dark times. Meaning: time to start thinking about the Lego city again. Belem is where the sailors departed from Portugal, opening the world commerce and the worldwide communications. The Belem Tower served both as a prision and the governors’ office. Portugal is known worldwide for tourism, beaches, sun, culture but mainly for its food, wines and sweets. No place can be more central to all that than Azeitão. Good wines (especially the sweet “moscatel”), and an amazing pastry called “Torta”. Trains. Is there anything more to say? Those were responsible for my “lego dark years” but also for me getting out of them. For years I’ve been a trainspotter in Portugal, but as the years passed, so did the passion for trainspotting, mostly because of all the difficulties that security imposes in the portuguese railroads. Lisbon is an hillside town in its oldest parts. The portuguese capital, so many times called "Queen of the Seas" because of its connections at the Discoveries' Age is also the city where I was born. In this week’s #weekchallenge where I’m using my #sigfig to portrait places where I’m at/places I love/things I do/things I love, it’s time to talk about Star Wars. Grievous is the only Constraction Figure I have because it’s the only one I really love in this type of construction, and it’s a nice touch for a SW fanboy. I lost count to how many times I watched all the movies, classical, extended or remastered versions.
