Your account has been set up! >doomed to a future of both email and physical mail spam from Bilt trying to pressure me into a Bilt Rewards credit card that allows me to earn 4% of my spending back in Bilt Cash that can be redeemed at qualifying establishments, terms and conditions apply >this is considered an efficient mechanism for transferring money between two accounts

#this is kind of different but bruh when i moved into my current place they sent an email with like all the requirements things they need b #move-in day whatever #and one of the 3 things they required and phrased completely unambiguously was ^ like my direct deposit info like they presented it as if #the only option to pay was to give them the means to do it automatically each month. and i understand that some people maybe want that out #of convenience #but if you think im gonna give a landlord the means to take whatever arbitrary amount of money they want out of my bank account yougot me #fuckrd up #and people will be like ''oh but they cant raise rent in the middle of your lease or take extra fees its illegal etc''#Yeah it is but so is requiring automatic payments bruh 😭#anyway it was resolved easily enough they just hate me because i insisted on paying manually every month as per the terms of my lease...#and i know this is kind of seperate from the point here being the unnecessary technologizing third partying etc of every thing ever. but #holy fuck i hate landlords
