Blaine helped Kurt load the cab, then got into the back, holding his hand out for Kurt. He smiled and kissed him softly, leaning against his shoulder, eager for their romantic weekend away together.

Kurt snuggled up to Blaine for their cab ride, kissing the man’s cheek fondly. Their weekend away was just what they both needed to reset. The wedding planning, work, school, and everything in between was causing stress that they didn’t need. Kurt sighed in relief at the idea of getting away from it all. He paid their driver when the cab came to a stop, then climbed out and grabbed his and Blaine’s bags. “I’m so excited.” He gushed as he headed for the docked ferry.

Blaine smiled, his eyes going wide with eagerness. “Sounds perfect to me…” he whispered, grabbing his own bag and walking towards the door. He held Kurt’s hand with his free one, only letting go of it to wave for a cab.

Kurt followed Blaine down to catch a cab, then threw their bags into the back. He smiled softly, kissing Blaine’s cheek, before letting his fiancee get into the cab first. When they were situated, Kurt asked the cab driver to take them to the docks so they could catch a ferry.

“I’m not complaining,” Blaine said, looking at him innocently. He licked over his lips and kissed Kurt gently. “I love you…” he hummed a bit. “Well, we can save all the hot sex for when we get to the hotel,” he winked.

Kurt returned Blaine’s kiss sweetly, resting his hands on Blaine’s chest. “I love you, too.” He replied with another small kiss to punctuate it. “The sooner we leave, the sooner we can get started.” Kurt smirked, picking up his bag.

“Perfect,” Blaine kissed him back, shuffling over to grab the box of condoms and set it in their bag. He turned. “That would be fun… we haven’t used that in a while…” he said, watching Kurt closely. He walked over and kissed Kurt on the cheek, wrapping his arms around him. “You’re sexy…”

Kurt snuggled into Blaine’s arms, leaning into the affection. “You’re making it difficult for me to want to leave the apartment.” He teased Blaine, stealing a few kisses. “If we don’t leave soon, I may just keep you here and tie you up.”

“Mmm…” Blaine giggled. “Of course, handsome,” he said, wrapping his arms around Kurt and pulling him closer. “Sure,” he winked, knowing exactly what he was referring to. He nibbled Kurt’s lower lip. “I’m pretty sure we’ll be spending some of our nights in bed and I really don’t mind at all…”

Kurt giggled, making a soft, happy noise in the back of his throat. “I’ll pack a special bag, then.” He murmured, stealing another kiss before pulling away to pack. He opened the bottom drawer of his nightstand and placed everything into a small bag. “Flavored lube, too?” He smirked, looking over his shoulder at Blaine.

Blaine nodded at him, following closely. He giggled in anticipation and grabbed a few things for their trip. “Mmm… maybe both?” he smirked. “Well, I know we’ll be spending lots of time in the bedroom,” he said, walking over to him and wrapped his arms around Kurt from behind. “I plan to remind you very much of how much I love you…”

Kurt smiled sweetly, leaning back against Blaine. “I like the sound of that...” He said, a blush coloring his cheeks as he tipped his head back to kiss Blaine’s cheek. “As long as you let me return the favor.” Kurt turned in Blaine’s arms, kissing his lips. “Should I bring some fun things for us?”

Blaine kissed back happily. “I like the sound of that,” he nodded with a hum of content. He grinned and climbed out of the cab after Kurt, walking them towards their apartment loft. “Mmm…” Blaine smiled, licking over his lips as he held Kurt’s hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.

Kurt squeezed back, kissing Blaine’s cheek before walking into their place. “So, we’ll just pack a quick bag and then head to the docks.” He smiled, going to their closest to find a bag big enough for both of them. “Should we pack an outfit for a nice dinner?” Kurt asked. “Or should we pack like we know we’re spending most of our time in the room?”

Blaine smirked. “Mmm… pre-wedding honeymoon. That sounds romantic,” he grinned at him, and kissed his cheek. “I love that you want to do crazy things with me. I’ll do the craziest things with you,” he grinned as he entered the cab after Kurt. “Want to pretend we’re on our honeymoon and get a suite?” he giggled, half-jokingly.

Kurt kissed Blaine’s lips. “I like the way you think, handsome.” He beamed, watching his fiance. “And we can get room service and watch the sunset.” Kurt sighed wistfully, thinking about the promising romance of their weekend. When the taxi stopped, Kurt got out and paid the driver, giving him a nice tip.

“I love you most,” Blaine giggled into the kiss. “We can do that! Oh, and then we can just stay there and just relax,” he said, squeezing Kurt’s hand. “I’m excited, already…” he gushed.

Kurt made a happy noise and hailed a cab. “It can be like a pre-wedding honeymoon weekend.” He winked, opening the door of the taxi for Blaine. He slid in after his fiance, then gave the driver their address. “I love that you do crazy things with me.”

Blaine nodded in agreement, kissing back happily. “Let’s go. A way to get away from the craziness of the city, too,” he chuckled. “I love you so much,” he sighed happily. “When should we go?” he grinned.

“I love you more.” Kurt winked, kissing Blaine again. “Should we go pack a bag and go, now?” He asked, bouncing on his heels. “Make a weekend of it?”

Blaine grinned at him. “Wow, Kurt Hummel… how spontaneous of you…” he winked at his fiancé. He kissed Kurt on the cheek. “That would be fun. We can explore the area. I’ve never been to Boston before.”

Kurt leaned into the affection and clapped his hands together. “I haven’t either. So we could cross that off our list together.” He said happily. “It would give us a chance to get away from things, focus on us.” Kurt kissed Blaine’s lips.

“We needed to talk about it… you know? We need to talk about a lot,” Blaine smiled. “But I’m not upset or unhappy, I just know with us things can be a roller coaster but we’ve both hung on since then,” he grinned. “Mmm… ridiculous? Like what?”

Kurt licked over his lips. “What if we took a ferry over to Boston and spent the day there?” He asked, smiling softly. “Maybe even just find a bed and breakfast?”

“I think we’re ready for it. We’ve already been through so much…” Blaine smiled softly. “We’re amazing together, don’t you think?” he grinned. “I look forward to everything and all the craziness we’re going to be getting ourselves into,” he grinned bigger. “All the better for us both… and all the reason we are such a great team.”

Kurt blushed and smiled warmly. “I’m sorry I made things heavy when today was just supposed to be fun.” He chuckled, his nose crinkling a little. “I’m glad you put up with me.” He laughed softly, blushing more. “We should do something just completely ridiculous to end our day.”

“I’ll admit… being with you relaxes me too,” Blaine nodded. “Between school and rehearsals and everything?” he smiled. “It’s a tough balance…” he said, wrinkling his nose a bit. “And I know things are a little tricky because of work and school… and we’re lucky that we have the loft taken care of by Rachel’s dads… You’re important to me, Kurt. And having time for us is important to me too.”

Kurt giggled. “Getting married will just complicate things more. But I’m excited for that next chapter and all the complicated and messy ones that follow.” He replied, thinking of them being parents further down the road. “Life is chaotic, but when I’m with you I can drown out the chaos and just be myself.”

“Don’t be sorry… I like it when we have these talks… it’s us being completely honest and open,” Blaine smiled again. He took a deep breath. We’ll make it work…” he nodded and kissed his cheek, leaning against his fiancé. He nuzzled his neck gently. “You don’t have to sacrifice everything just for me.”

“Baby, it’s not a sacrifice when I’m doing it for us.” Kurt replied, kissing Blaine’s knuckles. “Time with you relaxes me and eases my anxiety.” He told his fiance, kissing the younger man’s cheek. “You’re my safe place and I’d much rather spend time with you than work until all hours of the night. Isabelle doesn’t mind. She understands that I have to put myself before the job sometimes.”

“And I would never want to be with anyone else…” Blaine affirmed. “We both did and said some crazy stuff… but in the end it’s you, it’s always been you and always will be you,” he smiled. “You’re my best friend too, and nothing will ever change that.”

Kurt pulled back to look at Blaine, then kissed Blaine’s lips. “I’m sorry I got all weirdly emotional.” He blushed, taking Blaine’s hand in his. “I’m just so nervous with everything that’s changing that we’ll get busy and things will get messy again.” He laced their fingers. “That’s why I haven’t been working overtime. I want to dedicate as much time as I can to us.”

“It wasn’t you…” Blaine shook his head. “It was me being me and listening to people who didn’t believe in me,” he smiled, hugging back tightly. “Kurt… I think I needed to learn that no matter what, you’ve always been there for me… and that you love me. I love you too, I always have.”

“Blaine, I would have continued to love and care about you, even if you had decided you didn’t want me anymore.” Kurt whispered, keeping his arms around Blaine. “You were always going to be my best friend, even if it meant I had to watch you be with someone else.”
