Fifth entry

School!!! We are packing up to head to the school. It’s a boarding school which I didn’t know but makes sense being in Santalune City. We are going to try and catch my first Pokémon on the road to the city. I’m told there are Eevees along the way and I would love to have a Jolteon! But we shall see.

Fourth entry

Just got word I passed the test! It was more of a get to know you sit down. Well at least that’s what it felt like. The tests they give are practical not written, which is great for me because of my dyslexia as you know. They asked me about Pokémon typings and what is super affective against what. Some of the different types of Pokémon. What they might eat and their natures. I struggled with the natures one. And they asked what Pokémon are to me. I like my answer and feel that’s what helped make up for not knowing natures that well. I said Pokémon are companions, not just tools or battling weapons. They are there to help you and you to help them.

Third entry

I met another future student! She live here in Geosenge Town as well her name is Dee and she already has her first Pokémon! She has an Absol!!! I haven’t been able to get my first Pokémon yet. Always using Dads when ever I need to go anywhere. I keep the egg on me but that’s not very useful yet. Anyway Dee told me that all students can only have one Pokémon until the second month then they may capture a second. Only two are allowed though the rest of the term. Also the top three students in the final tournament get a starter. First place get first pick, second gets second, and third gets the remaining Pokémon. As long as you pass your classes you get to become a trainer the starters are just a bonus so I’m not worried about that just yet. Dee has been showing me around and she’s really interesting. She says she’s a little bit of a loner because of how people see Absol. There are stories about how they bring disasters. So she named her Nightmare. Which I like. Her family is there helping rebuild the town or were helping rebuild, looks pretty rebuilt to me. She’s the youngest of four and her siblings are all trainers and working on getting their badges. I like her and hope we both do well in school.

Second entry

So writing in you daily will be tough I think so I’ll write stuff down when I get time. It’s been a few days and I’m told I have to take a test to see if I can be let into the school. I thought I was already in but because I’m not from here they would like to know what I know so that’s gonna be fun. Heavy sarcasm..... till then I got to help my parents set up the house and get things set for when I leave. Helping dad with getting his study set and mom is helping me study. More to come later!

Hello journal!

Hi. Hello. I’m James. I am a Pokémon trainer. I’m here to keep my thoughts and experiences written down for who ever would like to read them. But really this is for you Granny and Gramps. So a little back ground for those who don’t know me. Like I said I am James. I am 14 almost 15 years old and a week ago my parents and I move to the Kalos region. My dad has been brought over to help study the hole that weapon thing left several years ago. My mom is a teacher of regular school. We just moved here from the Unova region. I’m going to be using a lot of I’s in this so sorry in advance. In a couple weeks I will be starting Pokémon school. Apparently after the whole team flare thing and the weapon some new rules came down. One is you must pass Pokémon school to become a trainer and enter the Pokémon league. The schooling only takes three months and it’s to cover the basics it seems. Things like the rules of battling, how to care for your Pokémon, how to camp when between towns. Plus battling other students to be given a “starting” Pokémon. There seems to be a random tournament with students at the end of each month. The first two months the pairings are random and the final month the students rank each other. There are only 16 students per class but seeing there are four classes each year plenty of people will become trainers. Oh and I have an egg given by my grandparents, thank you again by the way granny and gramps, that was my gift for moving. Now the Pokémon is a surprise so I don’t know what it is yet but I can dream. Well more to come just wanted to get a little bit down and get in the writing mood.

Pokemon Journal

Welcome everyone! This is my journal. My life starting off as a Pokemon trainer. The entries will be day to day life with school, friends, and training with my Pokemon. I have some differences in my story than in the games and show. For example the pokedex entries won’t read like they were written by a 5 year old. One of Alakazam’s entries reads that it had an IQ over 5000...no just no. Things like that are more “realistic”. Anyway the idea is that I just moved to the area and I’m joining the Pokemon school.  The reason they are letting me is that they finally caved because the closest school is a pokemon school. So we have just moved and I have to go catch my first Pokemon before the school year starts in a week. I’ll do my best to keep the posts coming and would love feed back.
