also this more applies to higher ed (college, uni, etc.) and ofc not universally applicable bc i don't know how higher ed works in every country, but if you're in school suffering right now, considering taking time off and everyone's telling you 'don't do that! if you do, you'll never go back!'

completely untrue. if you're suffering and you take time (even years, like i did) off to find a way to breathe, address the things making you suffer, etc., one day when you're ready you'll go back to school and even have a chance to enjoy it. imagine!

if taking a break from school makes you realize you never ever ever want to go back because you're that much happier out of school then that's awesome! you were right to quit lol! don't go back!!!!! you'll be fine!
