Book recs for another time because these aren't necessarily relevant to your current request:
The Truly Devious series by Maureen Johnson is what got me interested in mystery novels to begin with. I had zero interest in the genre, but the first book converted me and I have loved the whole series! (Like I would say the 4th book in the series is my favorite which is lowkey an insane thing to say about a series lol.) It's more of a time commitment than you were soliciting since there's 5 books + another on the way. Death at Morning House by Maureen Johnson is also very good, and it's a standalone mystery novel!
Not a mystery or thriller novel, but I just think you would enjoy What They Don't Know by Nicole Maggi. Maybe enjoy is a strong word. It's a heavy book! It's about abortion, and I feel like I don't actually know very many strongly pro-choice people irl, and I never get to recommend this book. I was very impacted by it the first time I read it, and I feel like it is very relevant atm with the current rise of Conservatism and broadly questionable access to reproductive care + education.
No worries if these aren't you're cup of tea, and no rush even if you are interested! 🥰
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you so much i will add all of these to my list!!!!
these questions, don't bother, babe
hello everyone i have a request for an extremely specific book rec. so i want a mystery/thriller that’s not super long and also has a twist that is guessable but not bang-you-over-the-head obvious. it does not have to be good
