Something interesting I noticed in the Chinese dub is how kyoudai is localized for Majima and Saejima vs Sagawa and Shimano, and what it might mean for their relationship dynamic

Majima and Saejima both use 兄弟

Sagawa calls Shimano '老哥' and Shimano calls Sagawa '老弟'

兄弟, has both characters for older brother (兄) and younger brother (弟). But because they are used together, there is no clear distinction on who is the older or younger brother. So it can be used as a general term for "brother", showing a more equal standing/status in the relationship dynamic.

But the 哥 in 老哥 is "older brother" and the 弟 in 老弟 is "younger brother". So, in this kyoudai relationship, Shimano is the "older brother" while Sagawa is the "younger brother".
