Hey, it's me! I am Mysta, and I like music! I also like to make music, though I struggle with it (lyrics especially), but I feel I'm doing really well with music production, which is the job field I want to be in. Despite having Vocaloid 5 since Christmas 2018, it took me until seeing Circus-P's video on Vocaloid 6 back when I first got V6 in Christmas 2022 to even know what parameters were, and my world changed forever. I made a cover of Bug in January, moved it to a new channel since I wanted it to be under an actual email in March, and have been working on covers of songs I like since March/April.

I use both Vocaloid and Synthesizer V. My favorite vocal synth is Meiko. Since a lot of the music I listened to until now has been rock, I kinda got used to the crunch a lot of rock vocalists have, and I like to have something similar when I tune the synths, so I end up using the Growl parameter a lot. I wish SynthV had a growl parameter...

It has been quite a while. I graduated college, finally got my driver's license, trying to find a job. It's been long enough that some of the ones I had sort of finished had to be redone with Synthesizer V 2, like this one. This originally had Michelle as the second harmony until a last minute switch to Fuiro. The verses are sung by me and put through the Vocalo Changer, because I was struggling to make it sound good in the piano roll itself. Checking the raw file, I recorded that part almost a year ago, right after the graduation trip.

It's been a bit. I'm still trying to get stuff done, I got the stuff in my ears checked out but I can't do anything about it until November, got a pretty neat 3D printed sword, there's a music festival right around the corner, I've been writing more on and off, and I'm still doing vocal synth stuff. I didn't even realized Labor Day was coming up until it was Monday. I tried using more of Vegas Pro, and making assets take a good while, even stock photo collage assets.

I have Sony Vegas now.

A lot of this is just experimenting. Trying to figure out how to get distortion, how to match the Vocaloid piano roll to the timing of real vocals, trying to figure out how I want Neru to sound. I even flipped my canvas in GIMP. Since it's a bit hard to get her to a high pitch without it crossing right into chipmunk territory, I tried to make it up in scrunch. She's a lot more abrasive and crunchy than how I usually tune Miku. The best instrumental I could find still had backing vocals, since it was a karaoke version I believe.

I've been feeling tired recently. First after a trip I got ear fluid congestion which inflamed my tonsils and I had to take those giant antibiotic pills for it, and it went away for a couple days after the ten days, but now it's back but far far less inflamed, and Mom says it might be drainage coming from allergies. But I haven't had allergies before, so if I suddenly have allergies now to pollen or something I'm gonna be pissed.

I was originally going to put footage of the final battle in Sonic Adventure 2 but the footage was too short for the song. I also put the little Sonic to balance the Miku on the right visually.

[Teto and Popy] Reverse Rainbow - sunzriver

I was playing Project Mirai with some friends a few nights ago and one of the songs in this game was this one. I don't think I've played it back when I played the game years ago, I might have, I don't remember. But when I heard it a few days ago, I felt entranced by it. It's really good.

This is the first time I've drawn either Emu or Mafuyu. I like Project Sekai. Not my favorite, but it's still a really solid rhythm game. Rin's part is done by Teto/Mafuyu, Miku's part is done by Popy/Emu.

Can't beat Heatman without Airman, can't beat Airman without Woodman, can't beat Woodman without Heatman… (Funnily enough, they say to go with Airman first, since he gives out Item 2 when defeated and is weak to the Mega Buster.)

The main reason I put Kaito on this was because one of the people in Team.Nekokan, the singer/songwriter, is Vocaloid producer Nyanyannya, who does a lot of songs with Kaito.

Merry Late Christmas! V6 updated with four new guys, and I'm just doing some tests with the four to see how they sound. I think Shion is my favorite of the four. I'm not the biggest fan of cutesy voices like Sakura's default, but she can be dropped down a bit in character, which is nice. I'm glad we got a knob back, can't wait for the rest. Fuiro also sounds different in the new update, she's like a bit deeper and rougher. I wonder if she was always meant to sound like that or if it just sort of happens.

Do you know how hard it is to make a distorted SynthV sound? Very hard! Even with like, max breath and a whole ton of Real Voice Growl, it still sounded too smooth. Thanks for EQ to at least make it a bit crunchier. Remember to use an EQ in your tracks.

It's nearly finals time here. Getting real cold. I have to wear gloves inside all the time because my hands get way too chapped. I think Sarah here is a very breathy sort of voice, at least compared to the rest of the current V6 banks, and I think she works well in songs like this.
