sangnuea laughs and Phatsa’s heart skips a beat. he thought the laugh was the most beautiful thing ever.

KNOT NOVEL: THE SCENTED CUP

- Phatsa’s POV Ch. 2 -

Still because the cup had been place a little too close to his hand, its fragrance rose and caught his attention first.

At first it smelled like rain drenched jasmine, then flowed into wild berries and pale tea before closing with a faint thread of caramel.

It was the kind of scent that was so expensive you did not need the price tag to know it. And before Phatsa had time to think, his fingertips were already on the cup.

- Nakhun’s POV Ch. 2 -

Nakhun took [the cup] with the same composed expression he always wore. This was always his order: Geisha Panama, medium roast, no syrup. Nothing more, nothing less and nothing sweet. Everything sharp, clean, exact, and the same every time.

He lifted the cup to his lips out of habit. Then paused. There was another scent clinging to the rim.

It was not the coffee he knew so well. It wasn’t the paper of the cup either. It was something else— something faint. And because it was faint, it pulled at his attention all the more: Rain.

Phatsa eyed him suspiciously. “Why do you look like you’re about to teach me biology?”

and then he proceeds to lore drop the wolf legend story on him in the coffee shop

also ongsa’s thoughts casually mention that Phatsa has grown up “untouched” by this world

I forgot that after phatsa saves sangnuea, he was not opposed to the idea of dating him

Phatsa only knew one thing clearly — that this guy was absurdly pretty. Pretty enough that his brain never once got stuck on the fact he was a man. Honestly if someone that good-looking became his boyfriend someday, it did not sound like the kind of thing worth panicking about.
