note: this is a repost of my ask game from my old acc, ocwifey! i wanted to post it here in case it got deleted alongside the prev acc!
for my mute or selectively mute, or those who’ve lost speech in some way folks who selfship: your f/os don’t see you as a burden! They’re patient if you communicate through “different” means, be it AAC, sign language, or otherwise. Maybe you write in a notebook or just text them. That’s perfectly fine! They understand and they’re quick to shoot down anyone who’s rude to you because of it. They love you and they’d never judge you for how you communicate. <3
f/o who insists breakfast is the most important meal and uses this as cover for the fact that they just really like making you things in the morning when you're still half asleep and soft about it
f/o seeing you in their hoodie for the first time and losing their entire train of thought mid sentence and just. stopping. like a computer that needs a moment to restart
F/o wrapping you up in their scarf and pressing their cheek against yours
F/o cupping your hands in their own and bringing them up to their mouth, blowing warm air on your numb fingertips to give them feeling.
F/o laughing at a joke you told while walking outside, airy chuckle casting a ghost of condensation in the air acting as a physical embodiment of the joy they feel
F/o bashfully letting you borrow their winter clothes because they think you look so cute in their sweater. Plus when (if) they get it back, it’ll smell just like you
F/o urging to hold onto your hand with the excuse of ‘skin contact helps keep you warm!’ And not letting go until you’re back inside.
F/o throwing blankets over you after a day spent in the cold, rubbing them against you to try to warm you up as if you are frozen stiff
I saw a few posts recently talking about how there aren't a lot of F/O posts/ask games about conflict in a relationship so I decided to make one of my own! Not all selfships are sunshine and rainbows, let's talk about arguments and conflict!
Send a number + F/O for an answer!
Feel free to reblog and have people ask these about your relationship with your F/O!
1. What was the first real argument you and your f/o ever had? How did it end?
2. When you and your f/o fight, who goes quiet and who tries to push to talk it out?
3. Are your fights more snarky, tearful, cold, explosive, or something else?
4. Has your f/o ever walked out on you in the middle of a fight? Have you walked out on your f/o? What happened afterward?
5. Have either of you said something you immediately regretted?
6. Do you or your f/o use their power/position/abilities/etc in an argument against you or vise versa?
7. What is the longest you and your f/o have gone without speaking after a fight? Who breaks the silence first? How do they break the silence?
8. What topic is "off limits" during fights because it cuts too deep for one or both of you?
9. Has jealousy ever caused a fight between you and your f/o? What triggered it and how was it resolved?
10. What's the argument you keep having with your f/o over and over again no matter how many times you've had it?
11. How does your f/o act when they're hurt but pretend that they're fine? Is it easy to tell or do they hide it well?
12. In most conflicts, who apologizes first, you or your f/o? How do they do it?
13. What does "making up" look like for you and your f/o? Cuddles, gifts, ignoring the conflict all together, sex, something else?
14. Do your/your f/os past issues/trauma ever leak into your arguments when they happen? How is the response?
15. Was there ever an argument that happened due to just a huge misunderstanding?
16. What topic makes your f/o defensive immediately, even if you're being gentle with them about it?
17. Has there ever been an argument so bad that your trust in your f/o has cracked? How did they earn it back, or are they still trying?
18. In your selfship, who does more compromising during disagreements?
19. What's the worst time you and your f/o decided to have a fight? Before a mission, in public, around friends, etc?
20. After a bad argument, what does your f/o do to reassure you that they still love you? What do you do for your f/o if they need it?
21. How does your f/o handle when you cry during an argument? Do they back off? Panic? Soften and concede immediately?
22. Even at their worst, what is something your f/o would NEVER say or do to you during an argument?
23. Has there ever been an argument where one of you thought this may genuinely be the end of your relationship?
