A Small Piece for The Antithetical Goofball ½ (Voltron - Langst)
If you haven’t read the two part story The Antithetical Goofball, go read that and come back.
After some debating and asking, I’m going to write how Lance killed his teammates then I’ll write the epilogue after he did. It’ll take place a little after the ending of the first part.
A big part of why I’m doing this is thanks to @onimi18
But for now, enjoy the brutality of murder.
***
Lance had broken out, the glass in front of him in shards. A bright blue aura surrounded him. Sheilding him from physical attacks and attack on his mind. He walked towards the elevator. No doubt a least one person was heading down because he broke out.
He was going to kill them. Starting with whoever came down here first.
The elevator door opened, revealing an angry Keith. Lance’s eyes narrowed down. “Lance, what are you–!?” Lance held his hand out and Keith put his hands to his neck. Keith had to drop his Bayard, that Lance kicked down off of the hallway and down into the dark open pits around them. The pone hallway that connected the elevator to the cage was all the ground there was. If he moved even a yaed to his side, he would fall off.
“L.. L-lance! St.. Ha.. Stop!” Keith cried, his face turning red. He dropped him, making Keith fall to his knees. Still holding his neck as his lunged begged for air. Gasping in big gulps of it. Lance kicked Keith’s face, sending him into the elevator doors. “Don’t tell me to stop.” Lance says. Glaring down at Keith.
“L-LANCE! Stop this. I’m not your enemy.” Keith says, shakily standing up. “Not.. My enemy? Does a friend, an ally.. Lock you up and threaten you? Do they put you down and yell at you? I’m by no means an expert on how friends should act.. However I don’t think they do that…” Lance says, his hand stiffing with blue aura around it. Making it sharper and harder then diamonds.
“They don’t hate each other, either.”
He rushed at Keith, stabbing his hand into his intestines. Keith’s eyes went wide open, his mouth agap. Neither words not moans could find its way out. Only choked air. His hands cupped Lance’s hand. His eyes meeting Lance’s. Blood poured over their hands and Keith started to cough. Blood lightly coming out of his mouth. “Oh. Oa..kagh..” His breathing went heavy. Lance stared at Keith, no emotions crossed his face. He didn’t know if they were watching. He hoped they were. But they might be out of the cameras view.
Keith’s eyes swelled up with tears, his mouth shakily frowning. His hands moved, shaking violently. Covered in blood, he held Lance’s apathetic face. “L.. La.. Lance.. Lance. I.. Don’t.. I didn’t want this. I don’t hate you. I.. I..” Lance’s hand pulled out of Keith’s gut. He gasped, choking on the air as he slid down the elevator door. He held his wound, he couldn’t move. He couldn’t fight. He almost didn’t want to. But the pain was almost insufferable.
“You do. Otherwise you wouldn’t have yelled at me, belittled me. Don’t try to lie. You won’t catch my mercy now, Keith.” Lance held out his palm, and Keith’s body rose. Making the pain intensify. Keith almost screamed, his body being dragged along the wall.
“Lance.. Lance I don’t know.. I don’t know why, you are doing this. I don’t know if you’ll snap out of that.. That look on your face… I know you feel like no one cares about you.. I know it seems we just don’t care.” Keith was seeing spots, he almost couldn’t make out where Lance was. Keith stopped, his body pressed tightly to the wall. A black pit beneath him. “But we.. I care about you! I do. I know I don’t show it. I’m not good at it. I thought.. I thought you knew that. But I’m sorry. I’m so sorry, Lance. I wouldn’t say this normally… I just.. I get so mad…” He gulped, the pain spread around his body, blood dripping from his open intestines to his leg. “Lance. I really care about you.” Tears went down his face and onto his chest.
Lance’s palm turned into a fist. Making Keith start to choke, not on air or blood. But his throat inclosing on him. “Quit lying to me! I can’t stand the lying! Everyone says they care about you then they betray you. I don’t want to hear it anymore! Not from my Mom, or Hunk, or you!” Lance screeches. He let go, and watched–his eye not losing Keiths– as he fell down into the black pit beneath them.
It hurt.
Lance’s own tears went down his face. He sucked it up, sniffling as he wiped them.
The elevator opened. Shiro looked at Lance, gasping at the blood on him.
They were out of the cameras view after all.
He raised his hand and threw Shiro to the side, cracks were heard when he reached the far off steel wall. “L-lance!” He choked out in pain. “Shut up, Shiro. I’m not in the mood. You let me be insulted, hurt, and belittled by the team. I don’t want your words.” Lance says coldly. The previous encounter leaving him heartless.
“Lance, wait no, please. Let’s just talk– did.. Did you kill–?” Wrong move.
Lances faced shifted to sadness and anger and let him drop. Shiro screaming Lance’s name was he fell down.
He walked to the elevator, they no doubt saw that one.
He pressed the button. Waiting for the elevator to get to the top. The feeling of emptiness consuming his body, making him numb to anything he saw or heard.
He was faced with Hunk and Pidge. Both looking tear striken. They held their Bayards tightly. Lance raised his hand and Pidge’s Bayard flew out of her hands, slamming back into her face. Making her fly to the wall, where the Bayard went through her head. Hanging her limp body in the air. Hunk screamed, tears freely flowing down his cheeks.
“Pidge? Lance! Lance!” He screamed, it was incohesive to Lance. Lance glared at Hunk, walking towards him. Hunk, who’s hands were shaking violently was unable to hold his Bayard. Making it fall to the floor, he backed up. Scared. Fear flowing through his eyes and veins.
“Lance..” he says with his hands in front of him. “Lance w-we’re friends? We went to the Garrison together! You don’t wanna.. Hurt me?” He asks, his voice and tone treating Lance like a fragile pet. “We were friends.” Lance says, getting closer. Hunks legs betrayed him, making him fall to the floor. Lance teleported closer, his eyes now crazed. “Why did we stop being friends? Why didn’t you like me anymore!? Why did you stop caring?!” Lance cries. His hands wrapping around Hunks thick neck. Lance’s powers boosted him. Making him hold Hunk above the ground, choking him.
“Why!? What did I do? I don’t understand!” Hunk couldn’t answer. Not that anything he said mattered to Lance. His emotions were now bursting through.
Hunks face started to turn red, then blue. His finger tips doing the same. He coughed and tried to pry Lance’s finger off his neck. Even trying to hit Lance. It meant and did nothing to him. Spit came out of his mouth, his eyes rolling back.
He stopped moving, Lance knew he was dead. Just unconscious. He snapped Hunks neck. Letting his body fall to the ground.
Lance looked at the Castle of Lions communication room. Where Allura and Coran are no doubt hidden.
It made Lance mad she would let them die for her, when she didn’t deserve it. She was a coward.
He burst down the door. Making both Coran and Allura shriek. Lances hand went up immediately, making Coran fly to the side of the room. Blue rope went around him, making him unable to walk or move.
“Princess Allura, oh, or should I just say Allura? Your planet being, dead, and all.” He laughed, Allura flinched at the comment. Coran shook, “Lance please! Don’t do this! You’re better then–!” A gag appeared and stuffed itself into Corans mouth. “Not now, Coran. This is a personal issue.” Lance says, a smirk playing at his lips. Allura stood stright, cameras we’re all of the main screen. Meaning she had watched everything on Camra.
“You were watching? Great. Because I can assure you, your death, will be much, much worse.” Lance assures, stepping forward. “Lance, I know you feel like we don’t care about you–.” Allura starts, Lance freezes. They had audio? Because that’s what Keith said, was she trying to copy Keith? How dare she. She wasn’t Keith. She was going to die painfully because she deserved it.
“Shut up, Allura! I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I HATE YOU!” He yells, “You are nothing. You are no pincess, and you are no person to me. Non of you are people to me.” Lance yells, his hand went out to Allura. Making her float up. Then she slammed down a audiable crack was heard. She went back up. Then down. Another crack. She went back up, her screams we’re loud. Then back down. She landed on her head. Her body shakes.
Blood coming out of her mouth, she must have broken some ribs and internal bleeding. “How do you like being hurt, Allura? I must say, it looks good on you.” Lance laughs, lifting the bloody Allura up. She had nothing to say, nothing that mattered now. She was smart enough to know he wouldn’t spare her. Not after her actions.
“Ya’ know, Allura. We have this.. These movies on Earth. The Jigsaw movies. It’s all about torturing those who deserve it.” Lance says, a strange device appearing in the air.
Allura had brackets connected to her rib cage, her body supended in the air.
Lance grins, “The Angel Trap, Jigsaw III. 2006.” He says. “This beauty will tear open your rib cage.” Lance says, looking at the contraption. It looked like a ring cage itself, but this one was attaching itself to a real one. A little key hole on it.
“And to make it more authentic, I have placed the key to get it off, in a small tub of acid.” Lance laughs. The tube of yellow acid appearing nwithin reaching distance to Allura.
“It’ll no doubt burn your hand if you put your hand in it. But– it’s that or have your rib cage torn out.” Lance says, Allura’s distressed face went to pain. The device was attached to all her ribs. Broken and not. It hurt, it also pressed down on her, hurting her ribs and bruises.
Allura looked at the key and back to her torso. Her hand shakily reaching out, the second one of her fingers touched the acid– she screamed. Her hand retracted and when she looked at it, she felt faint. Her skin was burnt, and rinkly.
“You have one minute.”
She didn’t last, she couldn’t take the key. Resulting in her her own ribcage getting torn out of her. She fell to the floor, bleeding out in pain.
She dies a minute later.
Corna sobbing, having watched the entire ordeal.
Lance looked to Coran, his restraints being removed.
“I’m done. I’ll be going Coran. I’m won’t hurt you, you were nice to me.” Lance says, sounding almost crazy.
Coran couldn’t talk.
He couldn’t even stand.
Blue welcomed back her Paladin, despite his disturbed mental state and his kills, he was hers. She would welcome him back, no matter what.
They drove off, looking, now for they were going after the Galra. Not to help the universe, but for it to know now, that something far worse was out there…
**
Coran didn’t last three days, his thoughts were plauged by his friends Deaths. How could someone, someone he trusted and loved. Do this? To kill them all in cold blood?
He could only stare at the gun.
Hding it up to his temple, he pulled the trigger.
He always was weak.

…
Okay! The next part will be after he kills Lotor and Shay’s and a lot of other planets. No spoilers, but it gets sappy.

The Antithetical Goofball Part 2/2 (Voltron - Langst)
Lance McClain was born different. He never knew his Father, and he couldn't ask his Mother. When ever he tried, she would burst out into tears. So he learned to not ask questions about him. However when he turned the dramatic age of thirteen he let out a glorious blue aura. His Mothers eyes were cold to him from that day on. She told him he was as bad as his Father, he was forced to pray to God for forgiveness every time he glowed or showed anything unnatural. His family turned on him, it was all on his Mothers side, seeing he never knew his Fathers family. Even his three siblings gree distance. He learned to keep it In, his heart and powers. Putting on the façade of a dumb, flirty, goofball. But not just anyone can get in the garrison. Even if he was purposely holding back. So when he was discovered to be the Blue Paladin, he though he would find people he could trust. He already knew Hunk, Pidge, and heard stories about Shiro. However he will soon again find reality to be cruel.
***
Allura and Coran walked into the hallway and made her way in front of the glass. Her glare and scowl present on her face. Coran looked immensely uncomfortable next to her. He couldn't meet anyone's eyes. "That's not the point Lance, you put your feelings before anything and tried to attack me.-" Lance had snapped. "I guess Altean's are naturally stupid. Because I assure you princess that I hadn't tried to attack you. I have little control of what I do. My.. powers activate on there own when they feel like it. The most I can do is emit light. So attacking someone is far beyond what I can do." The room was silent. Allura having a nasty look on her face.
"How dare you--." Lance stood and glared at the Altean princess. "No Allura, how dare you. I am a paladin of Voltron. I have a strong bond with my lion and I am constantly training in order to help contribute to the war you and your people helped start ten thousand years ago. I have done nothing to you or anyone else and here you are yelling at me again for something out of my control. I have never put any of you in harms way. Yet you all leave me in the dust." Lance stops. Seeing as Shiro was ok the break of crying.
He was in pain, Shiro was in great pain. While he was off playing leader, Lance was hurting. His own team was hurting a fellow teammate. How could he have let this happen? He didn't realize he was neglecting Lance, did Lance hate him now? Would Lance now see him as the enemy?
Allura pushed it off, "Lance you are being selfish. We have done nothing but try and help you-." Allura words were cut through when a large crack was heard. Allura looked at the glass to see a giant crack in it. Lances eyes were glowing blue like before. And a blue aura was radiating off of him. Allura stepped back. Keith, who was silently fuming stepped up. "Stop it Lance! I've had it with you lately. You've been acting differently. You've been training and spending more and more time with your Lion. And now it turns out you have some magical powers!? What is it with you?" Keith yells.
Keith wasn't good at expressing his emotions. But he did notice all the changes Lance has been going through. Was he now a better Paladin? He and his lion operated in total sync. There were never any problems with the controls like with the rest of them, he didn't understand. Lance was always below him. Even after he left the garrison.
"Shut up, Keith." His voice was too calm to be Lances. And all they could do was listen to it as he stared at them with his cold, glowing, blue eyes.
Keith didn't want to respond. He couldn't handle Lance right now.
"Well then Lance, in order to continue with this.. I.. The team would like you to practice this magic in order to help face the witch by Zarkon's side." Lance scoffed, of course the princess would want to use his powers for her own good.
"No." His words made Allura flinch back in shock. No one ever said no to her. "W-well then! You will stay in here with no food or water until you decide to be useful!" Allura yelled walking out. No other paladins dared speak. Or look him in the eyes, Both Shiro and Coran were sobbing. While Hunk was staring in almost horror. Pidge looked like she was fighting with herself.
Keith looked almost hurt. Like Allura had said it to him.
But one by one they all left. Until it was just Lance and Shiro. He was just behind the glass. Lances eyes were normal now. Shiro still wouldn't meet his gaze. Lance knew he felt guilty, he was there leader. He should feel guilty for neglecting Lance.
He could see his face through the cracked glass.
But for the next week, Shiro and Coran were the only company he had. Coran brought him food, and Allura knew. But he didn't know why she didn't stop him. He also gave him a bucket to use the bathroom with. It was humiliating. But Lance wasn't backing down for once.
Keith, Hunk, and Pidge would only come by for a brief moment to see if he was alive.
It was almost comforting.
***
Lance was crying, stood in front of him was Keith. He was yelling at him, blaming him for Shiro's recent disappearance. They couldn't form Voltron and they were trying to take on Zarkon. It didn't help they couldn't control there Lions very well.
If Lance had been there it could be avoided, if Lance was there he could have helped. It wasn't helping the Black and Blue Lion were crying out. One for him, the other for Shiro. Lance couldn't help but think how strange it was that Keith was yelling at him for not helping, when Lance had been locked up in a cell for two weeks.
"Its also not helping that none of us can sleep not only because your Lion is constantly roaring, now so is Shiro's!" Keith yelled, tears in his eyes. Lance was intensely crying and he thinks that what made Keith stop.
"Why are you so awful, Keith!? I'm locked up in a cage. None of you can control your Lions or getting enough sleep. You can't form Voltron. And you're blaming me? I'm not a tool for your anger. And if I was there. You probably would've blamed me anyway!"
Then he left, just like nothing happened.
Lance grit his teeth, he grit it hard. He didn't like his team mates-- if he could call them that. Even Shiro was nothing more then a pity party.
He was swearing now. That if he-- his body glowed blue-- when he busted out. He would take his lion, the only thing he cared for now. And he would leave. Then he would kill Voltron, and Allura. He didn't really care for Coran. He was okay, but he didn't stick up for him.
Then he would Kill Zarkon, and give a good beating to his bratty son Lotor and his generals.
His body glowed in excitement, ready to take on the actions right then and there.
He would strike them down.
***
"Why are you doing this!? Paladin of Voltron! Your.. You're suppose to be a defender!" Lotor screeches, his throat burned. His eyes covering with multi colored dots. His mind almost clouded enough to not think straight. Lance had his back to him, holding Lotor's severed arm in his hand. "All I see is destruction! We could've worked together, to stop my Father! But you've killed everyone. My Father, Haggar, even your former teammates." Lotor pleated to every God he could think of in his head. From Galran to Altean.
Lance slowly turned to face him. His armor covered in blood of Lotor's, his family, and his generals. No doubt the dried black blood being his teammates. He tossed his arm over. Lotor gripped his stump of a shoulder tightly. The blood still pouring out. "I was good. Until I wasn't. You see, when your peers tell you that you can't do something or that your not meant for something for so long..." He started to walk towards Lotor. Who hurried himself back. His weapons-- the black Bayard and his swords lying broken. "You believe it." He holds up the Blue Bayard. Aiming for the former princes head. "I am going to destroy everything I can. I started with Voltron, now I'll kill your Empire. Then, I'll aim for everything else. Anything I can get my gun to point at." His smile went wide, his eyes crazed and glazed.
He pulled the trigger, his face falling blank as the prince went limp. Blood splattering everywhere. He looked for the controls for the large air-ship.
"Now.. Let's set course for.. The Balmera.. I'm sure Shay will be delighted with the news.."

I am writing a small two part pieace for this! It'll tell you how he killed the Paladin's and what he did after this. If your interested in that, go check it out!

Lance and Hunk were friends, they told each other secrets and shared feelings. But they weren't close enough for Lance to spill his insecurities and his strange magic, or that his entire personality was a lie. Hunk was a nice guy, and he hadn't ever snapped at him! However Lance knew that kindness was the only thing their friendship was balanced on.
Pidge on the other hand, had none of it. She would sometimes yell at Lance for his comments or whenever he made a mistake(Which were most the time on purpose, but he never did anything to put them In harms way.). She acted as if everything was so simple and Lance just couldn't get it.
His Mother did the same thing, yelling at him for mistakes in his cleaning or other works, but he pushed off Pidge's comments. Pidge was probably just stressed about something and taking out anger randomly. Though it was often him on the reviving part. She didn't snap at Keith or Hunk, definitely not Shiro, or Coran, or Allura. It was just... Him. He felt slightly singled out. Some nights he wouldn't go to dinner, he would be training or hiding cooped up in the Blue Lion.
Contrary to what they believe, Lances bond with his Lion was strong. They could communicate telepathically. The Lion was a strong female voice, it was as soothing as his Mothers before she turned on him. The Blue Lion tells him he's special. Strong in many ways, but most importantly, told him he was strong in a real way. She told him how she wouldn't take any other Paladin before him.
It made him feel validated.
***
Today was another boring day in the castle, Lance was holding his Bayard up at a training dummy. It was the entire room away from him. He was good at close combat with his hands, and could use his Bayard to knock people up close. But he really wanted to be the sharp shooting he bragged about so much. He lined up the shot carefully, aiming for the head. Then in a quick breath he pulled the trigger. The shot went right through, blowing its head up.
A new dummy replaced it. Lance lined up the shot quicker and pulled the shot. A new one, he quickly pulled it up and shot. A new dummy, he jerks it up and shoots. All three dummy heads were off.
Lance let out a breath and got up. His Bayard reverting back into his suit. Lances stomach grumbles, demanding food. Lance pats his stomach and makes his way out of the training room. Walking right by Keith in the hallway. Lance shoots him a smile, but Keith just glares at the air and doesn't respond. Lances releases his back and frowns at Keith retreating figure.
Making his way to the kitchen Lance sees Coran talking to Shiro. Shiro was talking about something along the lines of his bond to the Black Lion. Coran listening to him intently. Lance didn't want to intrude on another mans bond with his Lion. So he keeps walking. He found the kitchen, Hunk inside looking at a bunch of strange ingredients. Hunks face lit up when he saw him enter the room, Lance smiles. "Hey buddy, watcha' cooking?" Lances words were smooth and his eyes full of light as he talked.
Hunk grinned, "Well, after I tasted all the ingredients and baked things. I made a perfect replica to chilly." Lances stomach screamed at the thought. Hunger ruling off anything else. Hunk smirks, "Looks like just in time too! Let me get you a bowl." In a moment Lance was looking at a bowl of yellow meat like substance covered in strange spices. He took a spoon full instantly, the flavor was an amazing. Hunk truly was a master at what he did. "Wow Hunk! This is amazing. You really are a master cook!" Hunk blushed at the words. Enjoying the constant praise he got from his cooking. Lance mauled down the chilly in less then five minutes. Feeling very satisfied with his lunch he made his way out to the control room. Seeing if there was anything to do.
When he went in Allura looked very distressed. "Allura? What's wrong?" Lance asks, the concern for his peer and his friend clear in his face and voice. Allura didn't say anything as she stared at the message on the screen. Lance looked at it, but he couldn't read the chicken scratch looking writing. "Allura? Coran? What does that say?" Lance asks pointing to the message, Coran spoke up, his voice distressed as he looked. "Lance, my boy it's a death threat. To the princess, some of the people don't like what we're doing. Most of them pure bread Galra who are privileged little quiznacks." Coran muttered the last part. Lance wanted to laugh at his crude language.
However someone was threatening Allura.
"What!? How dare they! Don't they understand why we're doing this?! The Galra are hurting so many people!" Lance yells, he didn't mean to yell but his anger was as bright as his glow. "Shush Lance. I understand you're distressed, but you should have know this was coming. Now leave, I don't need you're immaturity." Allura's words were harsh, but she was also upset. Not to mention it was just Lance. She didn't really care at the moment what she said to him. Lance let out an angered sigh and frowned. Coran hadn't seen Lance frown before. But he was sure it was just the Paladins anger to the person who would threaten the princess,
Lance left the room and headed into his Lions den. He crawled into her and sat down. She opened up to him immediately turning on. "Hey, Blue." His voice was soft and he spoke aloud. Though he would only hear the Lions voice in his head. "Greetings, my paladin. What worries you so? Your voice droops and you're slouching." The Lion stated. Lance straightened his back. "Someone sent the princess a death threat." Lances words were straight and slightly sad. The princess was a good hearted person. She didn't deserve to be threatened.
The Lion let out a scoff, "Only a fool threatens by message. A real fighter takes the threat to ones face." Lance smiles as Blue called the sender a coward and fool. "She told me I should have expected it, she also implied that I shouldn't have reacted that way and demanded that I left." Lance says crossing hid arms and slouching down on his chair.
"Then the princess is the fool."
Lance gasps, "Blue!" he was shocked the Lion would say that to their Princess. The Blue Lion would have rolled her eyes if she could. "The princess should expect a strong reaction from one of her best fighters, you fight for the freedom of others. For peace, so to see someone threaten your princess, you had every right to be angry." The Blue Lions words were on point. Showing little mercy and hesitation when roasting the princess. Lance wanted to agree but couldn't bring himself to bad mouth Allura.
Then the red alarm when off.
Lance almost jumped at the sound. He grabbed his helmet from the side and put it on. He grabbed the sides and pushed off the handle bars and the Lion roars. "Looks like its time to fight." Lance wasn't really talking to anyone. But he still felt the need to have some comfort to himself. Even if its just stating the obvious.
Allura popped up on screen "Okay Paladins, there's a nearby planet that's under the Galra's control. The plan is to sneak up to it undiscovered and use the element of surprise to attack the main communication hub. That way they can't call for help. After that take out the ships and save the planet." Lance wasn't sure of the half-assed plan. It was a nearby planet. But it still felt as if they should have gone deeper into the plan.
That's what happened. It turned out every base on there could contact the other bases through out the system. Not just the main hub. It was honestly stupid of them to think that. So Lance went out of his way to destroy all the bases and any ships he could. But the Galra just kept coming. They were going to send every damn one of them to come fight, if they don't get out of there!
Finally after pleading with Shiro and Allura, they pulled back. Lance didn't know how, or why. But the other Paladins and the Princess seemed mad at him. He had done nothing wrong. He destroyed ships and bases. He followed orders. He just pleaded that they left before even more Galra come. They may have lost the fight, but they would win the war. So, why were they so angry?
"We should have stayed, we shouldn't have listened to this idiot and left." Keith says glaring at the Blue paladin. Lance felt the need to defend himself, "I'm not an Idiot! More and more Galra would have shown up! Not to even mention the fact we were destroying the planets surface. So I doubt we left a good impression on those people. WE just brought more Galra and caused even more damage to their planet." Lances words struck a cord in the other Paladins and the Princess.
"Shut up Lance! What do you know? All you did was shoot down a few ships while we carried you." Keith yells and Lance gives him a angry look. "You carried me? I wasn't the one caught in the middle of the damn fleet. I wasn't the one who had to be saved. I wasn't the one who tried to fight haLF THE GODDAMN GALRAN EMPIRE BY MYSELF!" Lance didn't want to yell at Keith. Lance really liked Keith. He looked up to him.
But he had crossed a line. They never carried Lance. Lance never put himself or other in harms way for a silly facáde. The room was quiet as Keith glared at the boy. Lance sighed and looked down. "I.. I think I'm gonna' go spend some time with Blue." And with that the boy left. An empty feeling in his heart.
The Blue Lion was livid. How dare those mortals make fun of her paladin? She chose him of all the people in the universe to pilot her. And the Paladins and a Princess of a dead planet make fun of him. The nerve! She insisted to her cub that he was in the right. That they were not strong enough to defeat the fifty ships and more coming their way. Though she knew her words were short to comfort him. Her Paladin deserves better then this. Blue thought it was time to tell the other lions of there Paladins behavior.
It was the start of a wave.

The next time the Paladins went into their Lions, they immediately felt something was off. Blue was being... too sweet and praiseful. She started to praise him for being her paladin and how she was the best and by association so was he. It was... more then normal. While the other Paladins felt as if the bond with their lions was extremely weak. Hunk tried to talk to his Lion. But the Yellow Lion did little more then follow directional orders. Seeing as Hunk was by far the nicest to Lance, besides Coran. While Shiro's lion did little to respond, Keith's would just go crazy as if furious at him. Pidge's lion wasn't even moving. it was ignoring her!
They didn't understand why their bonds were so weak suddenly. While Lance was doing perfectly fine. Then there suspicions kicked in. They all met back in the control room with a furious Allura.
"Lance! What did you do!?" She yelled making Lance flinch. "W-what? I haven't done anything!" Lances yells trying to defend himself. "Then tell me, Lance. Why are no Lions other then yours working orderly!? They said its as if there Lions were angry at them! But yours is perfectly fine! What. Did. You. Do!?" Allura was terribly close to Lance. He felt incredibly threatened by her. She was talking to him as if his mother had caught him trying to use his strange powers again.
"Because I haven't done anything to anger my lion suddenly I'm bad!? Just because my bond is better then there's doesn't mean I did anything!" It hurt Lance to yell at them. But he couldn't let this just go. And... Just let them blame him for everything!
He wasn't going to be a scapegoat.
"That doesn't make sense! You're the weakest link! They should all have better bond then you because your just the spare until the Blue Lion finds a better pilot!" She had said it. She had just told Lance what he always thought. Lance was sure she hadn't meant it. She was just upset. Right? But the thought made him want to cry.
He was replaceable.
Tears ran down Lances face, and Allura looked back at the team. They were all staring, wide-eyed. He felt a strange feeling coursing through his veins. It wasn't an emotion. And he started to glow, sadness filling his thoughts and his heart as everything went Blue.
The Blue Lion cried out for her Paladin. She could feel his powers raging out in sadness. She had hoped he would learn to control it before something like this happened. But here they were, with those stupid mortals constantly picking at him. She was surprised he had lasted this long. This rage of sadness wouldn't hurt them. But it was a display of incredible potential of power. Stronger then the quintessence running through the Lions body.
How stupid the King's daughter was! The Lion could just kill her, Soon the rage died down and she could feel her Paladin lose himself. He was most likely passed out from all the energy he let out.
The other Paladins were shocked at what they saw. Lance was a magic user, a witch. Much like Haggar was. And all Allura could think of was how she would use this for her revenge against the Galra.
They aura radiating off of him were saddening. It made them feel excruciating pain. It was like their very Soul was crying, and internal damage due to abuse or self doubt.
****
When Lance woke up the pain in his head was the first thing he noticed. He felt like he had a major hangover. Though he doesn't drink, and clearly remembered what happened. He had lost himself in his own grief over something he already knew. He guessed hearing it just made it all the more real. Lance wasn't in his room. He was in what seemed like a padded cell. It had a large glass front. It likely went down so people could enter. The rest was a normal cell with padded walls and floors.
Most likely used for mental prisoners. Lance guessed they were scared of him now. He did show off a large amount of energy, though it was blurry seeing as he exploded through tears.
Lance looked directly at the obvious camera in the corner of the room. He didn't say anything as he continued to stare at the thing, soon Shiro came down. "I see your awake." they knew he was awake. He could see through the camera. Lance was staring at him. "I'm... Sorry you had to see that Shiro. I didn't mean to explode." Lance says calmly looking down, "I guess Allura saying that just... Made me upset." Lance says. He saw more of his fellow Paladins behind the glass. Pidge glared at him, "Made you upset? Lance you exploded magic because Allura hurt your feelings!" Pidge was angry at Lance. He was hiding a big part of himself from the team. This was very serious.
"Hurt my.. Feelings?" The words sent chills down the other paladins spines. Lance let out a sickly look, "Oh? I was beginning to think you didn't know I had any! After all those ugly insults and glares I could have sworn you though I didn't have any!" This made Shiro flinch. He looked at his fellow comrades. They were all surly glaring at the boy. Sure he heard their insults and Shiro did give Lance constructive criticism but he didn't think it really hunted Lance.
Was it his fault?

Salute Part 2 (Langst)
Langst Au: Lance before the Garrison was put into a severe boarding school by his family. The school had extreme methods of discipline and impossible to meet standards. Lance was traumatized by the physical and mental abuse of the school. A good reason as to why he prefers not to go in hand-to-hand combat. They taught deadly skills only to be used in a war. Which they were in. However Lance still can’t bring himself to really get over what happened. Even if his family apologized until they were blue in the face. However every now and again he responds to Shiro when he gives a command like he use to– standing straight with feet and hands tight together.

Lance was fearful, he had done something bad. It had happened weeks ago, talking back to his commander– Shiro. It was a unforgiving offence at Salt bording school, one his former commander, would not have forgive. He would have been beaten simplest and then forced to stand naked in front of his peers for at least an entire day. Something he had been force to do before. He was forever thankful to God that it was just him being sent to that hell. And not his beloved Brother or Sisters.
It really didn’t help that when they found Shiro, he sounded more and more like his old commander. Commander Tempsarex. It wasn’t the first commander he’d gotten. Seeing he was forced to make a switch due to his certain skills. Sometimes when he told him to shut up he would get a flashback of Commander Tempsarex. They weren’t military employed, so they didn’t have the title of Commander. However they demanded to be addressed as such.
It was when Lotor joined them, that Lance started feeling cold. He hadn’t felt cold in a while. He has physically, just not.. Not like he has. When he got use to killing, his body went dead. He was nothing more then a doll with a trigger. Lotor was a Prince, a man who commanded armies and generals. Lance has every right to be fearful and weary of the man. He reminded him every bit of Principal Allgemeines, he is the German principal of Salt Boarding school. The one who didn’t demand to be called Commander or General or Sargent.
He said that he would not be called a title he no longer owns. He was tall, old, and scary man. Lance had the luck of only ever being called to him once. When he was only a few weeks into the school. He was acting out, a big mistake on his part. That man was everything he feared. He was smart, cruel, and bot above threats and blackmail. Lotor fit the bill perfectly.
So he froze up a lot around him. Which made Lotor question, what was wrong with him? He truly didn’t fear him that much to be so tense, did he? Lotor got his answer soon.
Lotor had been walking into the commanding room. Where Allura controlled the castle. Where all the Paladin’s were currently planning on their next mission, Lotor had given them another base to infiltrate. They were all turned towards the map. He had made the mistake of walking up behind Lance.
The second he got to close to Lance– He grabbed his arm and flipped him over. His Bayard being pointed at his neck. The Paladin’s eyes were cold, colder then his Father’s when he abandoned him. But after a moment they turned warm, and fearful. “Lance! Back off, of Lotor. What is wrong with you?” Allura yells, glaring at the Blue Paladin. “I am.. Oh God.. I am so, so sorry Lotor. I-I-I-I did not mean to—.” Lotor got up, putting his hands up. Lance flinched, Lotor’s eyes widen for a moment.
“It’s.. Okay. I know you did not mean harm, blue paladin. Though I must praise your reflex, had I been an enemy. I wouldn’t be alive right now.” Lotor says, trying to comfort the panicked paladin. While Lance’s face went warm at the praise, the mentioning of his deadly habit made him feel even worse.
“You’ll have to excuse Lance’s.. He’s..” Shiro couldn’t seem to find the words to describe Lance.
“Never the more, let’s begin.”

Lotor was going to talk to Lance, the boy seemed to worry him more then he should. He was born doubt a brilliant fighter, but he lacked resolve. He seemed scared of himself. And cared a little to much about others.
“Blue Paladin, Lance!” Lotor called to the boy in the training area. He flinched for a spilt moment and his body jerked forward to point the gun at him. Lotor playfully puts his hands up. “Relax, it is only I.” He says. Lance puts his Bayard down. His face turning a little red. “Ay’.. Sorry.” He says, not looking towards Lotor. “No need to apologise. I came here to talk.” Lotor says walking towards the Paladin.
“W-what about?” Lance asks, Lotor was circling the Paladin. Lance did not feel well with him doing that. Lotor looked him up and down. “You have great physical strength. Yet you seem afraid to use it.” Lance holds his Bayard close. His eyes trailing Lotor as he circled him. “I’m not afraid.” Lance says, trying to be confident.
“With what I’ve observed you seem to be ashamed. I don’t understand why. Your aim is absolute. You thinking logical. Your mind is focused on winning. You break down everything around you.” Lance felt more and more cornered with each word. “Why?” Lotor asks, getting closer to Lance. He was to close for his comfort.
He could kill him. He could point his gun or wrap his hands around his neck. But he didn’t want to.
“I.. I…” Lance struggle to find the words. A lump in his throat he was unable to swallow kept him from speaking properly. “I was a killer before this war.” He stopped breathing, “More over, before I joined it.” Lotor wasn’t expecting that. “And everyday I feel that part of me try to crawl out. From where you stand I can think of ten ways to kill you.” Not his best word play. “But I don’t want to. I don’t want these thoughts.
I’m in a war and I don’t want to kill anymore.”
It was silent.
“I.. I understand, Lance. I truly do. I never had a taste for murdering. I hated doing it. But I did so anyway.” Lance felt oddly comforted by these words. If Lotor could relate to him on a level, he couldn’t be so bad? Could he?
Tears poured down Lances face. Lotor embraced the boy. Letting him cry on his shoulder. It was so strange, to feel such a bond arise in a short period of time. Seeing Lance was never very comfortable around him.
And now here he was, crying on his shoulder. Lotor rubbed his back. He wasn’t the best at helping others, but he could try. For his fellow man stuck as a warrior.

Hey, so it’s like 2:15 am. And I’m posting stuff. I suddenly had a cool idea and wrote it down. I’ll probably make a third part where Lance goes on a massacre after a mission goes wrong. And no one knows how to comfort him. And his and Lotor’s relationship gets taken to the next level and stuff.
I don’t know, give me your guy’s thoughts. Should I do that? And if I do what should I add in or take out? I’m taking suggestions. Because If I wing it I might just make Lance kill Zarkon and Haggar and a bunch of important characters.
Salute Part 1 (Langst)
Langst Au: Lance before the Garrison was put into a severe boarding school by his family. The school had extreme methods of discipline and impossible to meet standards. Lance was traumatized by the physical and mental abuse of the school. A good reason as to why he prefers not to go in hand-to-hand combat. The taught deadly skills only to be used in a war. Which they were in. However Lance still can't bring himself to really get over what happened. Even if his family apologized until they were blue in the face. However every now and again he responds to Shiro when he gives a command like he use to-- standing straight with feet and hands tight together.
It isn't until they get into a really bad situation and the teams going at him that he breaks.
(I do not own characters.)
It's been three years since Lance had gotten out of Salt Boarding school. The school had been more of a Soldier training ground. Though it's definitely not what they told parents they would be doing. Lance at only ten was taught how to kill a person in over a fifty ways with his bare hands. Three hundred more with weapons. It didn't help all visits with parents were supervised. Speak a word about what went on there and you would be punished so severely you wouldn't come out the same.
They didn't just teach that though-- they thought manipulation and how to keep your emotions in check. Lance supposed it was why he kept acting like an idiot. Even if he got in the Garrison with a full-ride scholarship. Lance sometimes-- when he least expects it or when he's in an red anger-- can look at his team and think of a hundred ways to kill them.
His thoughts always scare him.
He likes his team. He liked being a part of Voltron. He wanted to help people. Put some of his awful past to good use. But he didn't like being yelled at when be messed up or hesitated. Sometimes, it just reminds him of his time in Salt Boarding school. And he stopped. Hesitating to shoot the Galran in front of him. It shocked his bones to imagine them as the prisoners on death row he killed. The human blood. Even if they had taken it themselves. Even if the Galra had imprisoned planets and people. Lance always regretted killing.
With what little he could get himself to fear. Because for four years he had been told to keep them away. Don't feel anything as you pull the trigger. If he was still at Salt he probably wouldn't. But he's not there, he wants to feel!
Even if his team yells at him. They don't know the difference. They don't know what it's like to do it and watch it drain out of the person. They don't know what it's like to really kill someone.
It was suppose to be simple. In and out. There wasn't planned combat. He was with Shiro and Keith. Lance lurking in the back. On his knees moving silently, Shiro and Keith almost forgot he was there. Lance's ear twitched, he could hear them.
Their breathing.
Lance could hear anything around them, while going unnoticed. Another trick that god-forsaken school had taught him. His back was bent over, his body readying for any sudden movements he needs to make. His Bayard in his hand, his eyes and ears locked-- ready for anything.
"Ok, Pidge. I'm in the control room. What now?" Shiro asks into his ear piece. Lance holds up his gun at the door they had just entered. Ready to pull the trigger, should someone come in. Lance's arms shack, feeling more like noodles then bone. His teeth chattering, his eyes locked onto that purple and pink door. Memories of waiting in a room with a knife hit him. The unpleasant feeling if fear and nausea making him sick.
"Okay, got it. Five minutes, right?" Shiro asks into the comms. Lance could hear Pidge's voice clearly, his eyes trailing to the sound of her voice. "Yeah, I just need five." She states, he could hear the tapping of her keyboard. Lance's eyes drifting back to the door. Keith was also ready to move, even if he wasn't as tense as Lance.
Minutes passed. Exactly three minutes and fourth two seconds.
A ball formed in his throat. He could hear walking, he looks at Shiro. Who seemed to get Lance's message by eye. "Pidge, what's your state? Where running out of time here." Shiro says, trying to be calm. While Keith got into a battle stance. "I just need another minute!" She says, the tapping on the other line matching Lance's heart beat.
The sound of their feet prove they are exactly fifty-five meters away from that door. The thirty meter long hallway and the fourty five one next to it. They were sixty seven feet away. Walking at around three miles per hour. They have about two minutes and fifty seconds to get this done with.
But how would they get out of there?
It seemed combat was inevitable now. There were at least three of them out there. From the sound of feet that is. Lance aims up his shot. The door was large. But he had a good guess as to where at least one of them will be. Right by the entrance pad.
He was awful.
Lance let out a shaky breath, trying to remember why he was doing this.
For Allura, for his team, and for everyone who was being imprisoned by the Galra.
They were worth killing, weren't they?
The door open, three Galrans. His shot lined up already.
His gun shot ranged, his ears deaf for only a moment.
The body dropped.
His blood spilling from the large whole in his face. His flesh bare and raw from the gun shot, all were in shock. The Galran next to the dead man recovered first.
He couldn't move.
He was coming at him.
He couldn't move.
He was close.
He couldn't move.
He was ready to swing.
He couldn't move!
..
Keith jumped in, slicing the man open. The third guy.. ran away.
"What the hell Lance?" Keith yelled, pushing Lance back. Lance stumbles, before regaining balance. Lance looked up, his eyes ice. His blood just as cold. Keith flinched.
"You froze." That tone. Lance's stightened up. "Sorry sir." It came out before he could stop it.
Shiro cane out from behind him. "It's fine, let.. let's just get out of here.
***
Another failed mission. Lance's head was facing the ground. His shoulders stiff and his hands clinched in fists.
Shiro was in his face, he was just stressed. And Lance had messed up. That was all.
He wasn't going to hit him.
He wasn't going to hit him.
He wasn't ex-commander Stragred.
"Seriously Lance! You're only good for one shot before we all have to rescue you. If you can't do this I'll have to--!" Lance suddenly looked up, his body locked. His feet moved and hit each other to created perfect balance.
Shiro looked startled. "I'm sorry." Was all Lance could say.
Suddenly an angry look passed Lance's face.
"Shiro, have you killed before?" Lance asks, "We all have--." Shiro started, Lance glared.
"Before the war." Lance says, Shiro and the team grew silent. "No, but this is different." Lance glared harder. "I have." Gasps were heard.
"I've killed a lot of people. I was forced to or I would be beaten half to death." Lance says. His body moving out. His legs apart and his hands behind his back. "I went to a boarding school. But.. it was a lie. It taught people how to personally take someone down. How to lie and shoot a gun."
Lance suddenly got up in Shiro's face.
"So excuse me if I don't want to do it anymore. It's been years since I got out. Going back to that.. it's killing me. I kept getting flashes of those people. Even if they were on death row.." Lance looks down.
"I'll be better. Sir."
