Damon started his car and pulled out of his drive way and started driving towards the town part "While we are here we might as well look around, we may bump into someone." He shrugged. Damon knew he had to tell Caroline soon because he couldn't get her hopes up on finding a certain person when he knows full well they didn't make it. "You know that night, when we all split into groups and you was put with Stefan and Elena was put with Bonnie and Jeremy and I was put with Tyler. . . ." When she nodded he took in a deep breath "Tyler. . He didn't make it."

She gave a nod, relaxing in the seat, sitting back. Caroline's heart dropped when she heard his last words. She slowly turned her head to look at him, to see if it was maybe some sick joke, but Damon was serious. She swallowed hard, a not tightening in her throat she stammered. '' W-what?'' she felt tears forming in her eyes, and one, lonely drop streamed down her cheek. ''What happened?'' she asked with a stronger voice, wiping the tear with her hand.

Damon started to get angry at himself "I shouldn't of stopped looking I should of listened to my heart which was telling me not to give up but I did. If I kept looking maybe I would have found everyone." Damon then stood up "Lets get going Blondie, we have people to look for." Without another word he walked out his house and into his car.

Caroline felt her heart pick up its pace with new hope. When he mentioned Klaus again she looked at him. '' He went looking for me?'' she asked not really expecting an answer, just expressing her surprise alive. But she still couldn't understand how he- how Hayley could get pregnant with him. He's a hybrid. She shook off the thought leaving it for another time. They had more pressing matters to attend to. She put a hand on his shoulder and spoke softly. ''Hey, it's not your fault.. ''Some things never change.'' she commented quietly, actually finding herself to be glad because of that. She missed Damon's teasing, and mean comments and nicknames, she really did. She followed him and got to his car. ''Where do we even start?''
