Intelligence is just an openness of being—capacity to see without prejudice, capacity to listen without interference, capacity to be with things without any a priori ideas about them—that's what intelligence is. Intelligence is an openness of being.
Osho, Intelligence: The Creative Response to Now
"Nothing is constant, except change."
Every ending is a beginning in disguise.
Every setback is redirection.
Every storm is clearing the path for something greater.
Don’t fear the shifting ground beneath your feet—stand tall, adapt, and rise higher than before.
You were never meant to stay the same.
You were meant to become.
Keep evolving. The best version of you is still unfolding.
“Free yourself from the illusion of good and bad days. Labeling time makes us nostalgic of the past and demanding of the future. There is only here and now. Let it be.”
— Ram Dass
Ego needs constant support because it isn’t real. We don’t have to keep saying, ‘This is a house. This is a big house. This is an old house.’ It’s obvious. The house exists. But the ego doesn’t and therefore needs constant confirmation.
— Being Nobody, Going Nowhere: Meditations on the Buddhist Path by Ayya Khema
"Meditation is not what you think. You sit in absolute silence and your mind starts going over all your movies. During that process, you become so familiar with the scripts you keep in your life that you end up getting sick of them. Then you realize that the person you think you are is nothing but a complicated script you spend most of your energy on. After a more thorough examination, you discover your personality disgusts you.
And that's because it's not really you. If you feel terrified enough about that personality, you spontaneously allow it to fade away. And then, if you're lucky, you can experience yourself without the distortion of that personality."
~ Leonard Cohen
In the Dzogchen teaching, if you are in any kind of place and at that moment, you are in a state of rigpa, then that is your place, your sacred or holy place. In general people want to go to a holy place such as a temple to do practice. But when you are in instant presence, then wherever you are becomes a holy place, your temple.
~ Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche
Here the definition of rigpa is self-existing wakefulness that is both empty and cognizant, but free from subject and object.
