It's kind of funny seeing people mock the Vivziepop animating Homestuck by drawing characters like Alistair and replacing iconic text with excessive fuckwords.

It falls so flat because like, 1) You can already see FROM the trailer that that clearly isn't the animation style they're going with here, and 2) Your "excessively vulgar" version just sounds like Karkat.

Okay, so I just finished watching the whole galaxycon panel, and I need people to sit down and shut the fuck up.

Hussie REACHED OUT to Viv of his own accord. Viv is not even directly handling anything because she’s never read Homestuck. Instead, she’s put die hard hs fans that work with her at her production company in charge. And Hussie IS directly involved and overseeing every creative decision.

I know Vivziepop is controversial (I may disagree with it, but I know it’s a fact), but it’s Spindlehorse, the production company, that’s doing this, not Viv herself. It’s obvious it’s being made with a lot of love and care and I need every vivziepop hater to just shut up about a person who’s not even involved with the production.

Hussie being a power mad cunt aside, the way the Homestuck fandom is having a meltdown because "Oh no the Hazbin fans are gonna invade us and ruin everything!!!" is so goddamn funny because none of you people have any room to talk about bad fandom etiquette lmfao.

And I don't mean people being gross and cringe like the sharpie baths and spit buckets, I mean things like the ship wars that laid the ground work for modern fandom "If you don't like my ship that means you're a bigot" attitude that's done nothing but help make fandom as a whole toxic for 15 years. I mean every single act of malice wrapped up in social justice rhetoric that was used to bully and threaten people into silence. The kind of people who taint the very notion of gay shipping by being insufferable and toxic to every single person around them.

Literally everything that's terrible about modern fandom culture that doesn't stem from corporate bullshit can be directly traced back to the Homestuck community's early days and spread out to the rest of social media until it's inescapable, don't fucking talk to me about toxic fandoms, the Radiation is coming from inside the House and we're all stuck in it.
