Been seriously thinking about this... it's my theory that what happens between Oswald and Spring Bonnie parallels what happened with William Afton and Michael Afton.

I think Michael found out his father was a murderer, and he tried to warn people, but no one believed him, so he was forced to deal with William on his own, the only one who knew his father was actually a monster.

And if you think this parallel needs proof, one of the five endings for Into The Pit reveals that Oswald ends up possessing Foxy, whom we never actually see in-game. To my knowledge, Michael Afton is the Crying Child's older brother, and what does he famously wear? A Foxy mask.
