Jax thought he'd be prepared for any answer. Any variant of yes, because what the hell else could it be? That she abstracted in the night and Caine just poofed her and all things related to her away? No because why would he do that? He'd never erased someone's room when they abstracted before. The rest of them would have surely heard an abstracted Pomni too, but as far as he could tell no one had. There weren't any damage marks done to the nearby walls or floor either, nothing to indicate some beast had run through it and destroyed things.

After the awards show, still reeling from his panic attack and trying to ignore his emotions, Jax mumbles to himself about how it’d be easier if Pomni had never arrived in the circus just before he goes to bed.
And then he wakes up and no one else can seem to remember her. He’s convinced it’s a prank. It’s not.
(set post ep 6 but pre ep 7, takes a lot of inspo from ep 7 though. may not interact much but i love seeing yalls feedback anyway!)

Pip specific notes
Has an anthro form as shown, but usually remains in her quad form just bcus it's comfier most of the time. Mostly likes being bipedal as an excuse to hold EJ's hand, but you didn't hear that from her-
When in his quad form and shrunken down, Pip likes to sit on peoples shoulders! Mostly EJ (its like they're biased, whoa /j), but really anyone who's not normal Jax he's known to cling to if allowed.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, it'll let people sit on it's back when it's large. Same deal as before.
The "animalistic" way it reacts to stuff is primarily emotionally and certain stims. She's a mix of being terrified of everyone and everything like a mistreated mutt, but like a dog she also forgives too easily.
Like she both wants to reach out towards outstretched hands in hopes they just want to be kind, but shies away from them anyway because they could hurt just as easily.
Does that full body wiggle that dogs do sometimes when he's excited.
Also does that tippy tap paw thing. If it's in its biped form this often manifests as her drumming her hands rhythmically on the nearest surface.
Instinctively hisses when spooked. Like full stop, 0 control over it. Jax bullies her. They bit him once about it.
Likes to draw, though its mostly animals and furry art. Likes hanging out with Gangle, they doodle together sometimes.
Extremely touched-starved, but also hates physical contact that he doesn't initiate simply out of struggle to trust others. Struggles a lot to fully relax like... maybe ever.
Tends to talk more the more comfy she is.
Pip x Evil Jax notes
Not actually sure where or how the evil clones fit in this AU but don't worry about it, it's fine. But for sake of ease just pretend the clones live in the circus full time too.
Evil Jax goes by EJ for short bcus it's easier to say lol.
Like the only person she'll actively info dump for hours around.
Also the only person Pip is fine with sudden physical contact from. May or may not be a little clingy when it comes to EJ.
The two started off as that trope of "extremely close best friends, where it's clear to everyone (even them) that they like each other, but they're both still too nervous to confess" and everyone in the circus is collectively tired of this grandpa.
No idea how they actually ended up getting their shit together. But they did at some point.
Rarely apart if they can help it, probably convinced Caine to let them merge their rooms... somehow.
Pip likes to collect rocks when out on adventures. If she thinks a little stone is pretty she'll take it back home to give to EJ. He keeps them in his overalls pocket.
He once fretted about not having much space left for more and Jax just went "just... get rid of some? they're just rocks??" and EJ stared at him with the most offense he's ever expressed at anyone.
I feel like they'd sit outside and stargaze a lot. Their favorite kind of date tbh.
