My Position on Free Will
Free will is only a delusional idea that people live with, not an actual ability. The choices humans make are based upon prior events, genes, and brains.

My Position on Free Will
Free will is only a delusional idea that people live with, not an actual ability. The choices humans make are based upon prior events, genes, and brains.
Today I decided to go for a walk to my nearest market instead of using a car. Why am I talking the walk? I do not know. Maybe it’s because I want to get some exercise done. But why would I want to get some exercise done? Maybe because I want to stretch out my muscle. Why would I want to stretch out my muscle? Having free will means you know the reason why you are doing a certain activity, but in this case, the reason remains unknown and I simply just walked.
Libet’s Experiment Using the EEG
For those of you who haven’t read my book, I would give you a sneak-peek of one of the researches I included. In the Libet’s Experiment, the brain has been detected to show activity 300 milliseconds before the person is aware of it and decided to move. Interesting isn’t it?
Hello there, I would like to share my latest book, Free Will, in which I included some great neuroscience researches about how brain determines your choices. Once again, having no free will does not mean you are living a forced life. My purpose of this book is not only to show how free will is an illusion, but also alternative ways of living your life without free will. I also want to dedicate this to religious individuals who think that a god-like being is there to influence your choices.
Many of people have messaged me saying how having no free will is like living a forced life. When free will doesn’t exist, it doesn’t mean that you will be forced to something. You still HAVE the voluntary action: “You can do what you decide to do — but you cannot decide what you will decide to do.”
To have free will means you can have the ability to control every factors and directions in your life. Just like the weather, we know everything about it, but we can’t determine its direction, just like the storm. “You are not controlling the storm, and you are not lost in it. You are the storm.”
Misconception about your thoughts
I came up with an analogy to explain what is having no free feels like. Most people would argue back that they author their own thoughts. Think of it this way: Your brain is the author to your decision and you are the pen to carry out that particular decision. The author comes up with what to write down and the pen carry out their thoughts, just like how your brain decides what to do.
Why am I Here?
Why was I born on April 9, 1967? I do not know the reason. Sure, my mother’s due date was this day, but why this particular date? Why was I born right in Los Angeles? What was the reason my parents were in Los Angeles during that time?
