Tales of the Caravan - A YouTube Collaborative project.
This is my real voice, presented with a deliberate pitch adjustment for stylistic purposes. It is a creative choice for this piece. If you are interested in hearing my natural speaking tone, you can find it in my live stream replays.
TALES OF THE CARAVAN
A collaborative fantasy storytelling project. This is not an audition. This is not a commitment. This is an invitation.
Tales of the Caravan is a non-profit, community-driven fantasy project told through voice, movement, presence, and character. It exists for people who enjoy building worlds, embodying roles, and telling stories together, without pressure or hierarchy.
You are never required to play a specific role. You are never expected to perform in a way that makes you uncomfortable. You are always free to choose how, or if, you take part.
The Belly Dancer Role (All genders welcome. Presented Without Pressure)
Yes, we are actively welcoming performers who are interested in portraying belly dancers within the world of the Caravan. In this setting, dancers are not decoration. They are historians, messengers, ritualists, spies, survivors, teachers, and witnesses. Dance can be public or private, symbolic or subtle, physical or implied. It can exist on camera, through voice, through story, or purely through character identity. No experience is required. No specific body type, gender, or aesthetic is expected. No obligation to perform movement on camera. If that excites you, wonderful. If it does not, that is completely valid.
Not a Dancer? Equally Welcome.
The Caravan is made up of many lives and many paths. You might find yourself drawn instead to roles such as: A travelling musician who performs to distract while others listen carefully A healer who treats bodies by day and carries secrets by night A former noble navigating exile, regret, and survival A scout or guard who watches the road and notices what others miss A scholar, archivist, or storyteller preserving fragments of a broken world A merchant, artisan, or encampment worker who keeps the Caravan alive A spy, courier, or fixer moving quietly between factions You may choose an existing concept or create something entirely your own.
What This Is, and What It Is Not
This is a voluntary, unpaid collaboration. This is remote and flexible. This is beginner-friendly and experience-agnostic. It is not time-pressured. It is not competitive. It is not a closed circle. You can observe first. You can ask questions. You can step away at any time. Creative autonomy and informed choice matter here. --- Final Words from the Host… If something about this world has caught your attention, you are welcome to explore further. If not, you are still respected for stopping to read. Either way, the Caravan continues its journey. You are welcomed here at any time.

Please note that this is an amateur, creative project, and all participation is completely voluntary. The form is simply to record initial interest; once it’s submitted, you will receive an email with detailed information and links so you can review everything before deciding whether you’d like to take part.
#ASMR content creators are very welcome to participate as well, whether through voice work, ambient recordings, or creative collaboration within the project.
There are also roles for characters who express themselves through dance traditions inspired by Raqs Sharqi, Baladi, Shaabi, Saidi, Nubian forms, Ghawazee heritage, Khaleegy, Iraqi Kawleeya, Turkish Oriental and Turkish Romani styles, American Cabaret, American Tribal Style, Improvisational Tribal Style, Tribal Fusion, Gothic and Contemporary Fusion approaches, Andalusian influences, Persian Classical Fusion, Lebanese and Egyptian Oriental work, Moroccan Shikhat, Tunisian and Algerian traditions, Central Asian influences such as Uzbek and Tajik movement vocabularies, along with modern experimental fusions that blend these practices with elements drawn from hip hop, flamenco, ballet, samba or contemporary floorwork.
Within the world of this story, which is set in a fantasy medieval environment, these names serve as reference points for readers and performers rather than literal cultural labels. In the Desert Realm, these forms would naturally have their own names, histories and meanings that reflect the languages and traditions of the setting. The intention is to honour the artistry, discipline and cultural depth that these real world dance lineages represent while offering performers the freedom to interpret their characters through styles that feel authentic, expressive and respectful.
The term “belly dance” is used only as an accessible placeholder for those who may be unfamiliar with the wider vocabulary. Anyone with an interest in portraying such a character is welcome, and there are many opportunities throughout the project for dancers to contribute their style, creativity and interpretation in a way that enriches the world and respects the art.
Again, please complete the Google Form and I will email you all the relevant links to learn more about the project, this includes the Discord Server dedicated to the project.

I appreciate your interest and the care you bring to your own creative practice.
