Happy Halloween guys!

— what goes around.
Following every move the girl made, Sehun trailed behind hers in fear and trepidation. Each step pushing the boy faster. Each step making his heart pumping more blood throughout his body. Each step making his legs sear with pain, taking away from the pain in his upper arm. Though every step he took, the monsters behind seemed to take three more.
The unnamed girl quickly opened the door that withheld their only possible savior; stairs. As soon as the door was open, the girl bolted up the stairs, the boy scoffed; did she not think to wait for him? The door was swiftly coming to a close. If the door was to shut Sehun wouldn’t be able to open it in enough time to get away from the rapidly approaching mob, for they were only a few paces behind.
Without another thought the boy increased his speed, trying to reach the door that could, at this point, decide his fate. As he lurched closer the boy held his arm out in preparation for catching the closing door. The boy pulled the edge of the door, causing it to swing outwards, as he slipped into the enclosed staircase. A temporary sense of achievement overcame Sehun, as he escaped from the beast.
“Thought yo…” The boy was interrupted by a sharp tug at his ankle. Blocking his face from hitting the concrete slabs of the stair case, he placed his forearm over his face. As soon as his face was covered, his arm was slammed onto the edge of the stair. Sounding like a branch that was stepped on, cracking sound came from his arm. A sharp cry escaped from his lips; pain surged throughout every nerve. His fingers twitched but only as a reflex. The trauma caused his arm to throb in pain; tears stung his eyes as he moved arm, trying to get a look at what caused this injury. He slowly propped himself onto his non-injured arm.
Below him was one of the monsters from outside, it had a firm grip upon his ankle. Sehun flailed his leg trying to shove the beast off of him. “Let go of my fucking leg!” He said with a final kick, which caused the demon to release his grip of his leg. The boy tried to pull himself onto his feet, but there was no use; the pain made him too weak.
“Please help me!” He called out to the nameless girl.
"Shit," the frantic girl cursed.
The sound of abnormal straggly footsteps echoed throughout the compacted staircase, and with each gasp for air feeling as if a toxic fiery venom was seeping tortuously to smolder her airways, the young female knew she had to outrun them; it was the only way to survive in this horrid situation, and as her last desperate step to the top of their set journey, it was an abrupt shriek which rippled throughout her ears. Causing her senses to be pierced with newly welcomed slivers of fright; which made the already stressed girl, turn quickly of the direction of the individual it had come from, Sehun.
Stunned, as she stared in awe as the male cursed toward the flesh eating nuisance which clawed hungerly at his leg. Glancing toward her almost escape, she knew she'd have to go back for him; there was no way Naeun could have retreat without the childish boy before her. Without a second thought, she scurried down to where he had fallen, Doing her best to make it before the sinister being could possibly claw toward the thief she'd met yesterday, clenching her eyes shut, she cowered away from the gruesome sight she'd had foreseen as she raised the steal metal bar.
The sickening crack of a skull collapsing under the weight of this female’s crowbar rang out through the vicinity quickly filling the aroma around then and Naeun only then realized, it had been almost a month, maybe even a little longer, since she had killed her first ‘zombie’ and with that, the young female couldn’t ignore the fact that they all still looked like her. The vision of stringy dark hair and the terrible ice of dead, eyes adhered themselves to every undead being which filtered through the tiny entrance of the girl’s terrible decision. Now trapped by walls and another of the snarling, moaning cadavers dripping nauseatingly thick globs of flesh from decaying lips fast approaching, the female did her best to wrap an arm under the male that had been placed so pitifully ahead of her, almost forgetting about him, as she now averted her eyes away from the injured male. Letting them fixate on the dreadful path ahead.
"1...2.. 3.." Naeun counted, as the frail figure did her best to pick him up as she attempted to support him. Heart pounding in the young woman’s ears, breath hitched and uncontrollable in her tightened throat, her crowbar clenched between white-knuckled hands and ready for any strike, she only hoped they could make it up the stairs before those things caught up.
"I hate to rush you..." words were glossed in a silk of gentleness that wasn't often protruded by the said female as a pang of sympathy seemed to have been triggered, but with eyes still avoiding his, in fear of what he might have thought of her after the whole chaotic scene, her next words were heard after she cleared her throat awkwardly, having tried to support the other's weight. "But, we need to hurry."
Rise Against // Savior
The Night of Halloween || Sujeong & Naeun
Sujeong was waiting for Naeun, staring at the full moon in the sky. It was pretty cold, making Sujeong wrap her own arms around herself to try and keep herself warm. It was Halloween, or at least it had to be Halloween’s night. Sujeong liked this day so much, she used to wait for this day for the whole year, when she was young. Being the girl which liked all the scaryt hings, Halloween was the party she enjoyed the most. She adored to go to the shop with her dad to pick the most scary costume of all, yet she was always getting compliments from adults, saying that she is the most beautiful girl. It always made her mad, since all she wanted to be scary, but everyone was smiling at her and telling to take as many candies as she would like to.
The atmosphere was indeed creepy, but Sujeong would lie if she would say that she didn’t enjoy it. She did enjoy it pretty much, even though it was a bit scary. Knowing how many corpses are hiding in the dark, abandoned buildings or even behind trees.
She was getting impatient and a bit worried. Naeun was taking way too long making Sujeong think about so many things. What if something happened to her, though she knew that Naeun is strong, so she should be here soon. Sujeong stared at the moon once again, mumbling something to herself.
Autumn was here to stay and colder days were just around the corner. The crisp smell of fall hangs in the air; feeling it in the tips of your fingers, watching it gradually strip the trees bare and only to match the darkened sky that consumed the previous light that illuminated the sky, which was only a taunting reminder of how late she had been for her and a dear friend's plan, she’d worn her favorite jacket. The thick material fighting off the frigid chill the breeze had to offer. However, her annoyance remains as the silence of this eerie hour surrounds her.
It was a rare day off from Naeun's typical 'busy' day, and the slim figure reminisces in the free time she'd provided for herself as she tries to put off the fact that she's late. Making her way through vacant streets, eyes fixated on the darkest shadows in case for any possible monsters. The strange young lady huffs on occasion to see if her breath will appear in front of her or if the pitiful attempt will look like smoke against the cold air. Her feet shuffle quickly, trying her best to make it to the friend she knew was waiting; almost running in order to make it.
Lost in thought, she continued to speed until the back of a familiar figure was spotted before the newly arrived visitor, watching the other who had seemed to be in deep thought. A sudden mischievous smile begins to play across the young girl's features, as she eyed the individual ahead of her. This was Halloween, after all, and what better way to start off the night, she'd thought to herself. Creeping up quietly, praying Sujeong wouldn't turn around or hear her, Naeun moved slyly toward the girl, her familiar scent hitting the carrier as she couldn’t help but smile, doing her best to hold back a laugh. Behind the other she'd made wait for so long, she placed her hands abruptly onto the other female's shoulder's in attempt to scare her.
“Boo!" Naeun called out dramatically, only before breaking out into a fit of laughter.

Night craving | {Krystal + Naeun}
Blood curdling moans slither past the apertures between the lips of the pallid figure as it shambled forward with hungry murder in its eyes. A subtle twinge emerged from Krystal’s chest upon the sight of its jagged teeth adorned by a coat of maroon yet she willed her face into neutrality, forbidding her weakness to manifest itself in a more prominent way. Despite long months of surviving in a realm where confrontations with vile creatures are reckoned as prevalent, the occasional spasms of panic are inevitable. It’s a typical function of the complex human body system that even the most heartless person cannot impede.
Stepping backward, Krystal tentatively hovered her pointer just an inch away from the trigger, ready to implant a bullet on what remained of its skull. A blast of gunfire slashed through the tensed atmosphere, precisely embedding a bullet on the creature’s temple. A thin film of bewilderment coated the girl’s hues as it followed the rotten figure slumping back on the ground. Blood streams down its face, rapidly clothing the vast expanse of the tiled floor in red. Looking at her gun in dismay, Krystal is certain that the credit isn’t hers to claim knowing it’s the other survivor who was able to put an end to the short-term nightmare.
She promptly snaps her head to the side, slightly fascinated by the other girl’s accurate shooting. “Damn, you beat me to it!” she equips, intending to be rude but unable to keep the genuine appreciation from wrapping into her tone, however, rather than an amiable response, a loose string of profanity was elicited by the other. Krystal was on the verge of throwing a curse back until she observed the colors draining out of the girl’s face, being replaced by a new sheet of terror forming itself upon her visage. All of which gave Krystal a discernible notion that their nightmare has just begun. Even the night breeze lacquered with rotten smell was tossing a clue away.
Lacing her fingers around her own metal weapon, she prepares herself for a killing spree but was abruptly stopped by the seemingly petrified girl. The faintest bit of anxiety crept up her voice, almost faltering in fear. Slivers of luminosity proffered by the moonlight kissed the other individual’s extended arms providing salience to the mark loathed by the non-infected. “You’re a….carrier” the last word rolled off her tongue forcibly, as though speaking of such could poison her insides. Carriers are indeed, the second type of beings Krystal desires to wipe out from this world of damnation and now that she has unraveled the stranger’s secret, acting nice is definitely eliminated from the list of her behavior towards the other.
"What a shame. I thought we could be some sort of…allies." Before the other could even fabricate a plausible explanation, she swiftly edged behind the lass, aiming the deadly weapon straight at her head, its muzzle pressing against her scalp. Caught between her massive ego and inner sympathy, she stared her down, quiet for a moment as she pondered over her options for the last time. In a fleeting second, she finally constructed a somewhat humane decision she never thought would brush her mind especially at a rare opportunity like this. “5..4..3…2..” A bullet escapes freely from the narrow hole, implanting itself at the slack jawed creature before the carrier. “You’re lucky they’re at the top of my death note” she lowered her voice into a whisper with a teaspoonful of enthusiasm.
Her senses tickled at her inner core in a sinister fashion, though often doubted, this time, came out to provide the young girl with evidence of her own life becoming threatened, just as she'd expected; this whole situation was like a bad sitcom rerun to the bruiting individual, who's life seemed to deal with these types of situations on an average. Even though her expectations were much more immense, predicting more of a set of bridges with deformed fangs wedged at monstrous angles, she only found the pipe of a firearm being abruptly placed before her as it dared to taunt her, followed by the other female's darkened silhouette which carried it. The other no longer a stranger, and rather it seemed Naeun had managed to make a new found foe. great, the other tried to hold an agitated sigh, and a small eye roll that desired to act upon cue of the other's exclamation on how she'd thought they could've been allies, and a part of the young female wished to retrot bitterly, not having been found of the other's new tone, nut she quickly concluded that was out, as an idea as the female before her was in the hands of what little life the brunette had left to live.
Instead, listening carefully to the other's words, the victim to the bold muzzle pointed in her direction, almost made her cringe as the words continued to surpass the other. However, the word 'carrier' caused a new form of curiosity to brood slowly within the fright stricken female. What exactly did this girl mean? It wasn't a surprise that the other felt threatened when they had saw her horrid scare,Naeun hadn't blamed most who had. However, the term 'carrier' was a whole new realm of wonders to her, and torn between annoyance and the urge to ask questions that began eating away at her, leisurely, the female had decided to stay silent as she pursed her lips, attempting read the contours of this foe's face, but it was the counting which caused hurried eyes to avert to the guns barrel once more.
Though, the deadly woman’s next actions the frail figure didn’t expect, as scattered and cluttered her mind as she wondered is theses would be her last moments in life. Daring to pull the trigger, the carrier bolted her eyes shut, cowering away from the gruesome action she was sure she was about to endure Sights of more vicious creatures and other demonic beings being drawn to the loud bullet that was about to take her life, she clenched her fist in hope maybe it would hinder some of the pain. But, Naeun waited. Waiting for the thunderous bang to overcome her.
The swift sound came shortly. Expecting for some gruesome agony to swell and throb against her body, or maybe it would be an instant kill, nothing happened. Peering through thick lashes, Naeun was quick to examine the dead body that laid before her, and even before she could ask the other, why? Why had she decide to spare her life. A voice interrupted the fixation on chaotic sight displayed ahead of her, the words sending a chill down her spin, as she stumbled back cautiously, her hands flying in front of her defensively as if it would somehow barricade her from the other's possible harm. The urge to run was more evident than ever.
Her eyes lingering on the door, there weren't anymore in sight but she knew that didn't mean the infected beings wouldn't be here soon. Talking to the other female, she'd concluded was no longer a great idea, as she the female, inched away a little more, before her vision was soon brought to the back exit and she knew this was her only chance.
The girl couldn’t wait any longer, if she had, who was telling what would happen to her? She was going to wait around for this new acquaintance to change there mind, turning in the opposite direction of the figure which stood in front of her. Not thinking once as her feet began to push her body forward. Running as if it were for dear life, Naeun knew that her stamina was the strongest point she had, entering this brutal apocalypse.
Turning her head back, her eyes studied the other she'd just met, a slight pang of guilt piercing her chest as she felt bad for leaving the girl behind.
"Leave while you can," she called out letting the words surpass her impulsively as she hated to leave her alone, and without a warning would have been worse. "Maybe we can meet some other time!" she added quickly with a small hint of sarcasm being dipped into the annoyance she had previously felt for the other, but a part of her actually fished to met the new face once more.
Not daring to stay a moment longer, she fled. But, how long could she survive in this world, running away?

NIGHT!!
Night craving | {Krystal + Naeun}
Krystal pulled back a few reluctant steps whilst scanning the individual from head to toe in a frantic attempt to seek anything bizarre on her body—-particularly, marks or wounds inflicted by zombies. For several heartbeats, she did nothing but examine the lithe figure, making sure not a spot was left uninspected, As the saying goes, it’s better to be safe than sorry. A slight nod lifting her head indicates a negative test result: the girl is netiher a zombie nor an entity who emblematizes peril. No injuries, no sign of extreme restlessness, nothing unusual, just an innocent human being fighting for survival. A wave of relief supplanted her intense curiosity and fright, however, although she has an unfathomable propensity for generating snap judgements out of a person’s exterior, she knew better than to let her guard down. Sure, the girl may not be a living dead but there’s a possibility that something sinister is lurking deep inside the confines of her soul. Looking back at the first few months of the “zombie apocalypse”, there had been quite a few lamentable encounters when Krystal dealt with emotionally and mentally unstable humans. Due to the unfortunate events that plummeled millions of people, fear and desperation have infested their souls, devouring the unfelt scraps of hope that lingered underneath their skin and ultimately letting their sanity slip through their own fingers.
Creeping trickles of light oozed through the broken window glasses, casting dark shadows on the walls. The luminosity was feeble, substantially useless, but enough to accentuate the subtle smile painted on the individual’s features. It’s unlikely to be a genuine one but she couldn’t care any less, besides, she’s gotten used to people who have tendencies to faux emotions. An apology sliced through the air, coupled with a polite gesture, filling the silence that had befallen them. With one hand still molded perfectly on the gun in case of emergency, Krystal did a curtsy of her own but remained a stoic face. “Well, it has been a long time since luck flew by my side. Thanks to you.” It wasn’t much like Krystal to utter such words of appreciation without cringing under wraps. Normally, she prefers sarcasm flowing out of her mouth but today was an exception. Thanks , she quoted mentally, still amused at the fact that it unconsciously escaped from the walls of her throat. Maybe it was just a simple yet deadly slip of the tongue….or maybe not.
Clearing her mind, she paced forward, discarding her thoughts one by one when all of a sudden, her eyes fluttered to a huge box filled with cartons of milk, luring her to a great extent. It was a first, in many months that she has chanced upon one of her guilty pleasures. Because of their current world wherein beating hearts and breathing lungs are deemed as luxurious, even the flimsiest source of joy triggers an explosion of feelings in one’s soul. Krystal’s hands moved quick, grabbing one carton and gulping it down instantaneously; spilling some of the liquid during the process, unmindful of the other’s reaction toward her uncanny act. Tossing a glance around, she found her bag lying on the floor, reliving the main reason why she came here in the first place. Despite the perennial niggling in the back of her mind that nagged at her to continue feasting, Krystal’s excessive pride still gets the upper hand in the self-inflicted battle. Setting her attention back to the other survivor, she weaves a plausible excuse to avoid further conversation, “All right then, I’ll silently stuff my bag with food and leave. So if you don’t mind, may I?”
After almost an eternity of sorting the tremendous amount of food based on their value, she slung the backpack onto her shoulders, simultaneously wincing at the heavy weight she had to bear alone. It would be considered unethical to leave without having the obligation to adhere to social decencies and with that ingrained on her mind, she abruptly faced the preoccupied person from underneath her eyelashes and spoke,“I’m going now, pardon my intrusion and hm, have fun killing the zombies!” feigned mirth accenting her tone palpably, her face donning a mask of fabricated glee. She twirled on her heel and marched towards the door but was put to a halt when a detestable visitor greeted her along the way, “Hm, speaking of zombies…”
A deer in headlights, that was what the young female was sure she appeared as in front of the chaos that was ironically being displayed before her. Petty trembles ripple through her heat, thumping lightly into the deepest crevasse of her chest as a numbing pang of fright overwhelms her, and the other female's previously impudent actions were now the least of the concerns as her eyes fixated on the sickening flesh that hung off the sinister creature before them. The horrid sight only causing Naeun's fire arm to raise in what seemed to almost be of habit, differentiating from what her previous reaction would have been; recollecting on the horrid experience of her first week in this grotesque apocalypse, she couldn't help but be bitterly amused.
But, putting those thoughts aside, she winced at the deadly face that was visible in the limited light's hue. The misshapen creature which emerged slowly, large tumor like head, elongated chin, and agape mouth dripping with a crimson-like fluid coming forward, most likely in search for it's next meal. The girl's entire body had the urge to run. What was she doing? She couldn’t kill this thing, or rather she wouldn’t since- With the worry for her own fragile life in her hands, digits fumble for the cool metallic feel of the deathly trigger, propelling a bullet precisely whirring through the skull of the once hindering obstacle.
However, the loud and alerting cry of the gun was sure to invite the other's which were sure to lurk near by to the wicked creature's funeral, the thing fell onto its back, life having been claimed by the unsuspecting girl.
But it was another deathly guest which peered through the opening entrance. "Ah, fuck.." the words surpass her unknowingly, as her finger reached for the trigger once more. However, this time there is no reaction, nothing. Waiting for a scream, blast, bang, something; she was clearly being set up for disappointment, because not a single bullet was left to inhabit her once life saving firearm, now only being a useless hollow piece of metal to the young woman.
There were bound to be more of these infectious beings, and she was sickly well aware, from all the past experiences that flashed before her suddenly. Causing a slim hand to reach forward, fearfully in attempt to alert the other. "We need to get out of her." she muttered, anxiety coating her words fluidly as her tone had been dipped into the fear that illuminated her chest and forming a pit into her stomach torturously .
Not having thought about her own safety that brief moment, Naeun's eyes soon realized the wound that she had exposed to the stranger before her. The bite that had been irritably scabbed over, which overlapped the porcelain skin upon her arm. Naeun was sure this girl wasn't stupid, and a new sliver of fear was quick to consume her as her eyes darted toward the female's face, in search for some sort of hint or clue to the answer of what her reaction would be.
Shit, she cursed internally.
— what goes around.
Limping and moaning, the beast continued towards the boy and girl. The distance between them was quickly diminishing, with every passing second the monsters gained speed. Sehun heard the girl mummer cures under her breath, before she started running. The boy let out a soft scoff, he was amazed, for such a dainty girl she sure was feisty. The boy was taken out of his daze by the loud screeching of the monster before him. The thing was uncomfortably close, and it seemed to be furious that the girl got away.
The monster’s arm stretched out, and before Sehun could dodge the incoming hand, the beast dug his claws down his arm, ripping the jacket’s fabric, and causing a whelping wound to appear.
Tears welled at his eyes, and the boy held back the screams that threatened to escape him. He couldn’t wait to for the girl to get a head start any longer; Sehun sprinted in the direction that the girl was heading in, praying that he the monsters wouldn’t catch him.
His arm was beating like another heartbeat, pain surging through his veins. “I’m here sweetheart. Lets go.” He said as he caught up with the girl. From the sound of the dragging moans he knew the monsters were close behind. They needed to get to a form of shelter, and the closest building were an apartment complex. It could be an absolute death trap, but it was the only option.
At that moment, the girl didn't bother to consider the fact that he'd used the term 'sweetheart' instead of her name that she had the decency to share, but, there wasn't a spared second the feminine figure to react on the annoyance that welted in the farthest depths of her soul, as she quick to run after the egotistical male. Her eyes quickly drifting to the retched canvas of small and worn out apartments that was displayed before them.
"I know a way we can throw them off." She muttered quietly as if the wicked fleshed monsters could somehow hear them. As if the monstrous creatures could somehow hinder her tactical plan of escape. But, the young female was sure not to linger on the thought a second longer, as she catiously grabbed the other's hand as gentle as she could be not to somehow frighten him, from the abrupt action. "Just follow me," her voice reassured.
The sound of disheveled footsteps and screeches that called out to her only motivated Naeun’s legs to sprint faster, as she gasped for air, each gulp feeling toxic as a fiery venom seemed to burn her throat but she knew she had to outrun them. She’d already run out of ammo, now there was no way she could take them out one by one and the girl couldn’t help but feel herself began to tire.
Her heart raced. The desperate feeling of escaping nipping her bare skin raw, her head turned back sharply to see if they had still been following. The disturbing faces and hands that clawed for her only made her wish she’d foresaw’ this unfortunate sight, because maybe then she would of thought of packing more bullets.
But it was an alleyway she saw which she remembered vividly. The back entrance was placed in the dense shadows if she could remember correctly.
"Over here!" the words slipped past paled lips unconsciously, having called out slightly louder than she'd intended as a small senses of pride fluttered inside the contours of her heart; she didn't mess up this time. However, not bothering to take the time to look behind herself, for the acceptance of the individual who was now her partner in the escape, Naeun's hand's fumbled for the door that held the scenery on stairs.
Darting hastily for the steps, she'd never been so eager to climb a flight of stairs in her life, as she could recall the numerous of times she'd dreaded the thought. They just needed to make it high enough, she thought as the grip upon the metal bar tightened.
.
— invitation to a nightmare.
Blindly ambling through thick sheets of fog, limbs sluggishly scrap across the ill paved paths as an endless screech trails behind the frail figure in what seems to be an endless cycle. It doesn't take long for a ticklish boredom to weigh down the young female's shoulders while crisp autumn air nips the flesh upon her bones, bare. Eyes beginning to wander toward the withered amusement park signs in search of a new source of entertainment, she'd been traveling for what seemed to be all day, and now with the darkness that leisurely consumed the previously blue skies, it was only an omen to the bad decision of staying past such an ungodly hour.
However her attention was brought back to the once cheerful signs that would have probably made the female feel some sort of happiness before this pitiful apocalypse took place. Though, it was only an eerie vibe which made a loathsome chill creep down a tensed spine as it read, 'welcome', but the words unconsciously escape from the walls of her throat. The whilom colorful paint is slowly chipping, and it's now obvious that maybe the girl had stayed out a little too long, and sauntered out a little too far as she's somehow ended up in this twisted scenery of an abandoned amusement park.
Fright is quick to cause her heart to thump and flutter gently against her chest as an eccentric shriek rips savagely into the formerly numbed silence that is now violated by the monstrous creature near by. With this knowledge, a small wave of panic washes over the startled individual, her movements becoming hasty, each step faster than the last in fear of the infectious being having been closer than she was aware of. It was sure to be lurking somewhere in the dense depths of the hindering fog, which only clouded her vision as it seemed to grow thicker the farther she drifted into the grasp of old fun houses, carousels and numerous rides.
But, peering through thick lashes; squinting as she tried to make out the faint sight of something that seemed to be an arcade, a small pang of curiosity tugged her forward as she wondered is she could possibly find something useful. Cautiously nearing the dusty and weather beaten games, her attention was immediately drawn to the over sized glass box that held what seemed to be some sort of 'genie', and she guesses he was supposed to read fortunes, but pushing the assumption aside, she nears closer to the plexiglass. Letting her eyes trial along the contours of the machines facial structure, but something quickly stops her.
She reaches her hand out in front of her, she sees something in the reflection of the glass. A quick blur, or movement her vision catches but maybe it’s her imagination playing tricks on her, or the paranoia that consumes her at such a time of night; making herself conclude that it’s unbelievably, eerily quiet all of a sudden as it only now dawns on her that the previous howls have vanished. About to turn around, to turn her back on the Fortune teller she's just found her eye's linger on the glass once more as she tries to make sure it's safe to proceed. But, it's the sudden flash of a crimson red that now inhabits the machine's eyes, it's smile widens automatically, sending the female stumbling back and quickly falling as the sudden flash of lights almost blinds her. Her hands break her fall, however, and Naeun has no clue how the machines had managed to go off.
"Holly shi—" the girl words are quick and coated in the terror of almost having had a heart attack, but the dainty figure isn't able to finish as something new quickly flashes before her. It couldn't have been anything good, and internally cursing to herself, Naeun knew this wasn't one of the infected.
I was curious if anyone wanted to do anything for the Halloween event!
If you’d like to plot something, or just do something scary~, like, or comment on this post and I’ll hurry over to your askbox to brainstorm! (づ。╥‿‿╥。)づ
Night craving | {Krystal + Naeun}
Two minutes was all it took for the meat hungry zombies to wipe out an entire house full of hopeless human beings, leaving only one survivor. Krystal leaned against the wide-trunked sycamore tree just a few blocks away from the scene of accident, her fingers lacing around the hand gun given by one of the late survivors who died a few moments ago. She screwed her eyes shut, letting the recent memory drift as far back into the depths of her mind but the hideous images refused to. Their rotten flesh, peeling off bit by bit that you can see the bones underneath, blood spilling from their lacerated bodies, sunken faces that show no mercy, Everything was seared into her mind, even the way they gnaw at the limbs of innocent souls begging for their lives, their ear-piercing screams turning into silent sobs as the zombies finish them off.
A grumbling noise jerks her back to Earth, she swiveled around, her heartbeat drumming motionlessly against her chest, it sounded so near as though it was just coming from below. Yeah, literally. She lets out a sigh of relief as the realization hits her. It was merely produced by her stomach, craving for food. If her memory serves her right, her last intake of meal was about 10 hours ago. She took a risky glance at the seemingly empty store across the road, contemplating whether it would be a good idea to break inside or not. In the end, she pushed her feet into action, sprinting as fast as she can. One way or another, the zombies will still be there, waiting for their next victim.
She neared the entrance door noiselessly, careful to silence the click of her shoes against the tiled floor. Reaching inside the pocket of her leather coat, she pulls out a phone to serve as her only source of light. With both hands full,——one holding the phone and the other clutching a gun——-she discreetly entered the place. Her eyes skimmed through the shelves of food, throwing everything edible inside her backpack. After months of being a survivor, she knew better than to let her food stock decrease.Suddenly, a crackling noise resonated throughout the opposite side, shifting her into full defense mode. In one swift move, she lifts the gun, maintaining her tight grip on it as she steeled herself and darted forward. Not a pinch of terror painted her face, she has gotten quite adept to the horrors of reality. Upon arriving at the end of the aisle, Krystal takes a sharp left turn and caught sight of another gun aimed at her. Definitely not by a zombie. “Hold it!! Geez, do I look like a walker to you?” she sighs dramatically as she lowered her hand gun.
The sickening growl from the sleek girl’s stomach almost made the owner of the horrid noise cringe in disgust. Standing before a canvas of canned goods and multiple types of boxed foods, a slim hand scrimmages throughout countless empty boxes.
Packages that once caught her eyes with a glittering glint of a desperate happiness, having had the girl hopeful to find something worth looking for. However, those optimistic thoughts were soon exterminated as the nugatory objects once placed upon cluttered shelves were only left to disappoint her. Dropping the empty findings lightly onto the cool tiled floor with a muted thud, she continued to search for some sort of unrealistic prize, while the cool metal of her Beretta is kept close within the warmth of her palm; slim digits being laced comfortably around the base of the handy firearm, never being too careful during these adventures she likes to look at as ‘scavenger hunts’.
But, the busy female withdraws her once occupied hand. Letting it fall listlessly to her side, a small frown tugs at the edge of her paled lips and without much of a thought, Naeun curses underneath her breath inattentively. She’d already searched numerous of different stores and buildings causing the young girl to tilt her head back in a disquiet sigh, she already having been determined to find something useful within the retched premises.
Now moving her feet swiftly along the curves and narrow paths of the deserted aisles, still nothing worth taking within the grasps of the crestfallen female. The unpleasant fact doesn’t do anything to alleviate the chill and discomfort which suddenly overcame the girl’s previous emotions as she held her breath, daring to wander ever so cautiously. The shattered shards of glass from the windows were scattered across the dusty floor and every piece she stepped on, Naeun internally cursed herself as it seemed almost impossible to stay silent in this type of setting. But, it was a sudden blur that surpasses her vision which results in the startled female to grip firmly onto her gun as if it was for dear life, clenching her eyes shut as the female lifted the barrel in the direction of the unexpected sight.
Naeun’s gun stared deathly in the direction of the other. Being held tensely within her grasp as she peered through thick lashes to see what stood before her, skittish eyes soon making contact with another female in the same stance as she, but it was soon the other girl’s voice which broke the silence, as she obviously seemed to be in dismay of having a gun pointed in her direction, causing the brunette’s head to tilt in question.
“I could ask you the same— Ah. Um, I mean..” A pause is the cause to the sudden re-welcomed silence as she tries to think of what exactly she was trying to say before it dawns on her once more.
Her muscles tightened, clearing her throat awkwardly as she is quick to lower her own weapon not wanting to offend, or make the figure before her think or conclude that she was being derogatory. Though, the girl couldn’t help but feel slightly amused by the other’s dramatic response, a small smile replacing the frown that had once been placed upon her features, it wasn’t often Naeun met people like the individual she was in the presence of, and she doesn’t think much longer before her words roll benevolently off the tip of her tongue, letting the end of the sound reminisce among them. “Sorry.” She bows her head slightly in some pitiful attempt of an apology.
“You’re lucky I didn’t accidentally shoot you.”
