— what goes around.
With the fall breeze that nipped her skin bare. Lately, Naeun had found herself doing other things besides her usual nasty habit of prowling the streets to target the next location she’d loot; getting herself in multiple occasions of trouble, rather. However, the woman stopped in the midst of her hasty steps; surveying the road ahead of her. The usual procedure during these ‘scavenger hunts’, looking around, making sure the coast was clear and keeping an eye out for valuables.
This was the farthest the girl had been out, since the couple of weeks that passed after the outbreak, and she soon began to regret her decision as she held a crowbar loosely in her grasps, twirling the cool metal within her palms; since it was all she had left, after the encounter with the flirtatious punk she’d met only yesterday, and the damsel couldn’t help but hope something worth while would entertain her new found boredom and despair she’d gained from her gun having gone missing.
But, with those thoughts pushed aside, her eyes fixated on the asphalt once again. Following the path she had set herself to follow, noticing how it’s had been littered with trash and debris. The sudden conclusion that maybe this area had been heavily influenced with chaos when the virus had struck, a small pinch of sadness crept within her stomach. The air around her was crisp and cool, making the female feel slightly at ease, though, not enough. Naeun was finding out the hard way, that surviving in this world was going to be a constant and deadly struggle. She had been lucky enough to stumble upon the library, and although the shelter had been rickety with scattered books thrown across the marble tiles, she was aware that places of that kind were probably the comfiest she was going to get, especially in this sort of setting. Naeun had also been fortunate enough to find a pantry with a few stray cans of vegetables and preservatives, and also lucky the little thief she’d met, had been ‘kind’ enough to spare them, leaving the few cans to her. But the deep desperation of hunger had long set its way into Naeun’s bones, as she had began trying to force herself to eat in proportion, rather then splurging on all the goods she’d found.
But, it was the view of a head full of colorful hair, that pulled at the female’s interest A smug smile tugging at the corner of her paled lips, the girl could remember that sight anywhere. Without a second thought, she scurried over to where her prey had been seen, clutching the light piece of metal she’d swiped across the mischievous boys face only hours ago.
"Hey, dumbass!" she called out in anger. "Don’t think I don’t know what you took." Her steps quickened as she walked closer to the figure before her.
