Allow me to play devil's advocate here (as you surely expected me to do):

Firstly, Overhaul gets a lot of hate for the child abuse but a lot of people who hate him for it seem to fail to see the nuance.
The physical pain he submitted Eri to, the gaslighting, the overall treatment was indeed unforgiveable, I will not claim otherwise, but it was a circumstancial crime, not systemic - while the HPSC had a whole secret program going on behind the scenes.
If you piece together his flashbacks, you'll see that he was looking for a way to "save" the Hassaikai for a long time, and then Pops gave him Eri to examine, and he saw a way to solve the clan's problems (finances), his problems (his debt to the clan), and the world's problems (quirks) all at once.
He is not a pedophile. He is not a sadist. Eri became a tool to him in that moment, yes, but if it had been any other child, he probably would've gone "Ew, kids." and walked on.
Secondly, what's maybe an even more compelling reason for Kaina to look past this crime is that Overhaul himself is a result of systemic corruption like her. Through Pops' reprimands, we learn that Overhaul is a "bad yakuza" who violated the code and beat up civilians to defend the clan's honor. But the yakuza system itself is built on rigid structures of loyalty, debt, hierarchy and the appearance of strength. Standing may be asserted through violence, coercion or manipulation. Respect can be forced.
The patriarch's approval is everything. Even if getting that approval means having to put him on ice for some time.
(Overhaul's "happy memory" is Pops saying "do not beat up civilians but THANK YOU for defending our honor).
Kaina, who has surely worked with or at least killed people in the underbelly of society is likely aware of the flaw in the system that raised Overhaul.
Last but not least: If we are strictly going off canon, we have to look at the jailbreak. Because Kaina had no idea who he is here. She saw a shell of a man who had lost his arms (and thus, his autonomy), was an apathetic mess 90% of the time, 8% apologetic, and the 2% when he did function he was all about transactions.
And because she is deep down a good person, she dragged him along.
Yes, she said to AfO she thought Overhaul might be useful, but I refuse to buy this: He is too gone mentally and physically to be anything but dead weight slowing her down.
Of course she cannot admit to feeling a shred of empathy in the presence of other criminals, let alone AfO himself. It'd be like asking AfO to exploit her emotional vulnerability through Overhaul's physical vulnerability.
Btw AfO gaslights Kaina in that scene by claiming Overhaul to be a victim of hero society.
Anyway. My point is, that at that moment, they were both criminals with untold sins to their names, and she decided "what the hell, this guy has suffered enough, let me help him." That is, for better or worse, an emotional connection she has to him, but not to Eri because she has not even heard of her (yet).
(Contrast Izuku, who a suffering Eri clung to for help when he first met Overhaul.)
So, if someone came and told Kaina "this guy has killed people", she'd shrug and say "so have I". And if they said "and he's tortured a kid" ...
Do you think that would faze her? Or would that just be what you'd expect the history of a fellow Tartarus inmate to look like? Not to mention that she's witnessed firsthand how he is suffering as a result of his crimes. He has paid the price twice over.
In the end, a lot of it boils down to how, where and most importantly when she learns of what he did to Eri. If she had met him at the peak of his power, while he was actively abusing Eri for his plans, I agree: She would've hated him.
But if she'd met him before - or after (as she does in s6) - they share enough common ground to built a foundation for something. Whether that's their shared weariness with hero society, he fact that both of them were broken by the environment that created them, or simply mutual respect for each other's utility and lethal competence.
Personally, I think Kaina has the perfect skillset to both understand Overhaul's brokenness and still point a rifle at his head and say "hurt another person or else". That friction is what makes them so compelling to me.

I had this image in my mind for a long time. Like, both Chisaki and Nagant couldn't track Deku all the time, they supposed to have a downtime.
Kaina is canonically stargazer, Kai is semi-canonical nature lover. So both of them would enjoy something as simple as spectating night sky.
I doubt Chisaki would ever share his feelings to nature, so most likely it was Kaina who noticed a clean sky and decided to bring Kai with her on the roof.

The Sniperhaul standee turned out the highlight of my order, although it had one less art layer than I'd hoped it would have, and thus not quite as much depth as I had planned for.
The glitter is even more glittery irl. It moves slowly, so you have to wait a bit for it to gather on one side, but it moves back equally slowly, looking like glittery rain.
This is the biggest size for liquid standees btw and I've ordered only one bc shipping costs were already exploding, but now that I've figured out the exact file composition, I can order it again anytime.
