Also keep seeing people say “um, sweatie, they called Bush and Reagan fascist, too”. But among those people, were there scores of Holocaust survivors and historians? Because that’s the case with fucking Trump. I sure as shit don’t remember that being the case under Bush. Re: Reagan, I can’t say because I’m not old enough, but I highly doubt it. Also, the reason people said that about them is because there legitimately were elements of fascism in Bush and Reagan’s ideologies, and when their actions are the most extreme you’ve been exposed to with a president, it’s alarming. There has been a long shift towards fascism among Republicans, and because it’s taken so long to get this far, and because of how much fuckshit has already been normalized, people are dismissive when we have an actual honest-to-god fascist as president rather than a neoliberal who is dabbling in it. And that’s what they want. Like the fact that previous presidents were so bad doesn’t make Trump less bad, it makes him worse. Because it means that we don’t have very far to go before it’s full-blown fascism. He barely has to lift a finger.

People always talk about how fascists and everyone else are “living in a different reality”, which is true, but oversimplified because it’s really a lot of different people, even supposedly like-minded people, who are living in different realities. There are other anarchists who are living in a different reality from me because they do not think Trump is a fascist. There are also communists and liberals who think this. I have to encounter these people every fucking day. It’s not just about fascists, it’s about their apologists. And that makes everything much harder.

Just want everyone to know that if you’re literally still saying Trump isn’t fascist, you are asking people to believe that he is some sort of unique sort of politician creating a kind of government that is also completely unique and has never been done anywhere before and that despite his extreme resemblance to fascists during a time when fascism is on the rise globally, he is somehow a fucking exception, despite the fact that he’s literally palled around with many of the major figures involved and despite the fact that he says/does all the same shit. Like...this is just not believable. Please fucking recognize reality before it’s too late. You are in fucking denial. Also, the idea that “educated political people”, meaning liberals, would be doing something “if he were really a fascist”? HAHAHAHAHAHA. Are you serious? Learn fucking history. And also don’t fucking trust liberals so much. Jesus Christ.  People are literally desperately trying to separate all these different aspects of Trump and make different excuses for them, when if you put them all together like a normal goddamn person, you’d see that he is obviously a fascist. Like what the fuck? It’s like taking a burrito apart and making piles of rice, beans, whatever veggies, etc., and separating the tortilla from it and saying “no, this isn’t a burrito, this is rice AND beans AND vegetables AND a tortilla”. I’m... And the idea that people honestly cannot distinguish between neoliberals and fascists is also frankly not believable. This is blatant. It’s pretty fucking hard at this point to get more blatant (although it will, as has consistently been happening gradually over time for the past two years). And there is a clear difference, and it’s not just about Trump being rude or whatever---but that is also a hallmark of fascism. If someone with the same politics as Trump who acted like he does took office in another country, all these same people would be falling all over themselves to call them a fascist. But nooo, it can’t happen here, amirite? You see, despite claiming to be “radical”, I actually think the US is not that bad and really probably better than most countries. Like that’s literally the only way you could think this shit. Fuck the US, fuck Trump and all fascists, and fuck these fucking apologists. I will never trust these people. My future self says “thanks for getting me fucking killed, fuckface”.

I like how the Trump administration (Alex Azar, to be specific) can straight up murder someone at HHS for doing things that are even slightly unfriendly to corporations' interests, and literally no one talks about it. Like I don't believe for a second that this dude killed himself (even with their explanation of what blunt force injuries can include). And it's not even like the plan to reduce drug prices would do much, but Alex Azar is literally known for being the guy to more than double insulin prices at Eli Lilly, so I'm sure he wanted this guy killed anyway. And like if you can get killed as a member of the Trump administration for merely doing things that are slightly irritating to corporations, what happens to the rest of us? This is a major, major escalation in fascism, and it needs to be talked about, because this isn't going to be the last time. They will have countless people killed.

Imagine being liberal and pretending "the walls are closing in" on Trump every few months when that literally has never materialized at any previous juncture at which you frequently said this. Good to know I don't care about myself as a queer/trans person because I was unwilling to have my vote for a collaborator thrown away while fascists steal the election---or while they accelerate fascism by declaring the results illegitimate if Democrats win---and unwilling to legitimize the system that got us here.
