She almost fell over when the feathered entity appeared- however, the only thing she could do was gasp and jump back. Was this- Was this real? This.. Thing hovering just above the circle? Fumbling to set the book down, Jade was skittishly eyeing him over- watching his every move with intent and fear. No, not fear. Shock, maybe.    Adjusting her glasses, and taking another good look at the entity, Jade took a breath finally and wrung her hands together nervously. "It worked." She breathed, swallowing the lump that formed in her throat. Those eyes- deep red, staring down at her almost spoke more volumes than the low humming that hung in the air. This was the real deal. Smoothing out her knee-length, black cotton dress, a small breath of a whimper escaped her lips. No, it was fear. "âŠI-I, uhm.. â
His interest perks when she starts fumbling around, and his wings smooth against his back. A glance around the room shows that she definitely meant to conjure something, but clearly she was vague about her spell. She definitely didn't try to summon him, specifically, that's for sure. Then again, that's not usually the case anyway. But still... what a reaction. A wave of energy runs through him and he can smell the bittersweet aroma of fear, and the taste prickling his taste buds. "Of course it worked. ... Don't you want to give a little respect? What am I here for? What do you need?" His patience starts to thin out when he realizes that she doesn't know what she's doing at all. She's lucky that she happened to get him instead of a deadlier demon with more of a bloodlust. Or she could have gotten his brother, and well, that probably wouldn't have played out very well. Bro would have gotten pissed right off the bat with her misunderstanding of demonology. She could get pretty messed up if she does something wrong. "You know, when you're doing this, you're really not supposed to close your book or move around too much. You could risk shutting the portal before I leave and that can put you at serious risk. You're supposed to be in a state of meditation during a ritual, aren't you?."
